Pamela Iris Quick, 72, of Eldon died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
She was born April 26, 1927, in Wiggin, England, to Ralph and Bertha Ivy Bradbury Percival.
On April 14, 1945, she was married in St. Helen's, England, to William Quick, who died May 9, 1998.
Mrs. Quick is survived by two sons, Mike Quick and Keith Quick, both of Eldon; three daughters, Allison Schneider and Julia Stroessner, both of Lake Ozark, and Sue Tennenbaum of St. Louis; two brothers, Alec Percival and Keith Percival, both of England; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday afternoon at Hedges Funeral Home in Osage Beach.
Intombment was in the Lake Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Osage Beach.
Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
B. P. 'Bev' Hancock
B. P. "Bev" Hancock, 93, of Eldon died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at Mexico Veterans Home in Mexico, Mo.
He was born Jan. 16, 1906, in Hamlet, N.C., to Beverly Georgia as an inspector and test pilot and with McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis.
He had been an owner-operator of an antique store in Donaldsonville, Ga., and Lamar.
He also was a bee keeper for many years.
He had lived in the Eldon area for 11 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Anita Rogers of Barnett and Mary Catherine Stewart of Springfield; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren.
One son, John Beverly Hancock, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon with the Rev. Jerry Frye officiating.
Burial was in Greenmore Memorial Gardens at Barnett.
Military graveside honors were provided by Whiteman Air Force Base.
Basil James Bunch
Basil James Bunch, 75, of Surprise, Ariz., formerly of Eldon, died Sept. 19, 1999, at Veterans Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz.
He was cremated.
Graveside memorial services are planned at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at Blue Springs Cemetery near Eldon.
Esther Trulove
Esther Trulove, 84, of Osage Beach died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Ozark Care Center in Osage Beach.
She was born March 1, 1915, in Joplin to Grover and Edna Kenny.
On May 10, 1936, she was married in Miami, Okla., to Sidney Monroe Trulove, who died Nov. 7, 1985.
Mrs. Trulove was a nurse's assistant.
Surviving are three sons, Lon Trulove of Wichita, Kan., Sidney M. Trulove of Marysville, Oklahoma City, Okla.; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
One son, Michael Trulove, and a daughter, Esther Trulove, preceded her in death.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin.
Hedges Funeral Home of Camdenton was in charge of arrangements.
Eunice Ann McClure Seek
Eunice Ann McClure Seek, 76, of Eldon died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
She was born Aug. 1, 1923, in Sedalia to Lester H. and Elsie Lee Perdue McClure.
On Aug. 1, 1945, she was married in Kansas City, Kan., to Billy E. Seek, who died June 22, 1968.
Mrs. Seek attended the Methodist church.
Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Albin of Boonville and Lauren Fox of Bowling Green , Ky.; four sons, Billy M. Seek of Festus, Robert J. Seek of Eldon, Dr. Melvin M. Seek of Ocala, Fla., and Kenneth G. Seek of Boneville, Ga.; two brothers, Jerry McClure of Boonville and Lee McClure of Waynesboro, Va.; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Keeley.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Eldon United Methodist Church with the Rev. Fred Smith officiating.
Burial was in Syracuse Cemetery under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon.
Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Ida J. Hoffman
Ida J. Hoffman, 86, Humboldt Care Center North in Iowa, died Monay, Sept. 27, 1999, at Humboldt County (Iowa) Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 9, 1913, in Crofton, Neb., to Anthony and Anna Kuchta.
On Feb. 10, 1938, she was married in Santa Fe, N. M., to Herman J. Hoffman, who died Nov. 19, 1995.
Mrs. Hoffman attended schools in Crofton, Neb., and moved to Humboldt, Iowa, in 1937.
She and her husband established their home in Dakota City.
She was employed at the Humboldt County Courthouse, Foley's Greenhouse and then Country Florals until her retirement.
She became a resident of the North Humboldt Care Center in May 1999.
She was a member of the St. Mary's Ladies Society.
Surviving her are two sons, Mark D. Hoffman of Eldon and Paul J. Houston of South East, Iowa; a daughter, Rose Rahbam of Webster City, Iowa; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Anne Richstatter of Plainview, Neb., Cecilia Spalding of Lyons, Mich., and Christine Pick of Lake of the Ozarks.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Church in Humboldt, Iowa, with the Rev. Eugene J. Ulses officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Humboldt under the direction of Sievers-Swank-Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Martha J. Siegel
Martha J. Siegel, 61, of Eldon died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
She was born Oct. 22, 1938, in Pueblo, Colo., to Daniel L. and Juanita Jobe Black.
On March 9, 1957, she was married in Versailles to Irvin R. Siegel, who died Dec. 10, 1993.
Mrs. Siegel owned and operated a rental business.
She and her husband also owned and operated Siegel's Pony Express, a delivery service.
She was a lifelong resident of the Eldon area and was a 1956 graduate of Eldon High School.
Surviving are a son, Tommy D. Siegel of Holts Summit; a daughter, Jennifer Siegel of the home; two sisters, Georgia Opie and Dora Ann Hager, both of Eldon; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon with Don E. Renken officiating.
Burial was in Versailles Cemetery.
James 'Jimmy' L. Blanks
A memorial service for James "Jimmy" L. Blanks will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Gravois Mills.
Mr. Blanks died Jan. 26, 2000, at his home in Eldon.
Memorial contributions may be made at Mercantile Bank of Central Missouri in Eldon or Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon.
Goldie Williams
Goldie Williams, 75, of Rosewood Heights, Ill., died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at her daughter's home in Rosewood Heights.
She was born Sept. 22, 1924, in Parsons, Tenn., to Ruff and Virdie Box Hayes.
On Aug. 22, 1945, she was married in Hopkinsville, Ky., to Thomas J. Williams, who died July 11, 1985.
Mrs. Williams was a former resident of Eldon.
She and her husband had owned Williams Mobile Home Park.
She was a member of the Wood River Women of the Moose, the AMVETS post at Rocky Mount and the Eagles Lodge and VFW in Okeechobee, Fla.
Surviving are a daughter, Cathy Nevels of Rosewood Heights, Ill.; a step-daughter, Lola Provaznik of Dorsey, Ill.; a stepson, Tommy Williams of Bethalto, Ill.; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Carman Hayes of Parsons, Tenn.; and a sister, Effa Mae James Scott of Parsons, Tenn.
One son, Randy Williams, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, Ill.
Pastor Willard V. Meyer officiated.
Burial was in Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Wood River Township Hospital Hospice.
