Sandra Hernandez, 63, of Eldon died Thursday, May 4, 2000, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.
She was born Feb. 6, 1937, in Providence, R.I., to Leroy and LeVira McCallum Wilkinson.
Mrs. Hernandez is survived by three sons, Roger Grady of St. Ann, John Grady of Colcord, Okla., and Robert Grady of Arkansas; a brother, Paul Wilkinson of Sarasota, Fla.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Harris.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Eldon Cemetery with the Rev. Randall Bunch officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon.
Elnora Agnus Sears
Elnora Agnus Sears, 77, of Tuscumbia died Friday, May 5, 2000, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Jefferson City.
She was born Oct. 23, 1922, in Olathe, Kan., to James Earl and Mamie Roberts Thompson.
On June 6, 1969, she was married to Ralph Sears, who died Sept. 21, 1971.
Mrs. Sears was a member of the Church of Christ.
She served in the U.S. Army, where she was a clerk typist.
She lived most of her life in Miller County.
Surviving her are two sons, Joe Hillhouse of Tuscumbia and Don Hillhouse of Hemet, Calif.; two brothers, Wayne Thompson of Eldon and Donald Thompson of Tuscumbia; and three sisters, Grace Dake and Belie Jordan, both of Eldon, and Earline Caldwell.
Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating.
Burial will be in the Tuscumbia Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Frances L. Bacon
Frances L. Zingsheim Bacon, 91, of Eldon died Thursday, May 4, 2000, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
She was born May 12, 1908, in St. Louis to James Houston and Alice Ryan Radford.
She was married in May 1933 to Harvey F. Zingsheim.
She was preceded in death by both her husbands.
Surviving her are a daughter, Fran Schall of Eldon; a sister, Beulah Harman of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Harvey F. Zingsheim Jr., preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon with Pastor Larry Ollison officiating.
Burial was in Greenmore Memorial Gardens at Barnett, with the Rev. Jasper Hunter officiating at graveside.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Shirley Mae Maxwell Robinson
Shirley Mae Maxwell Robinson, 75, of Eldon, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, in Eldon.
She was born April 13, 1925, in St. Louis to Thomas and Josephine Boyd Mellow.
Mrs. Robinson belonged to Eldon VFW Post 2442 Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving her are a son, Scott Maxwell of Highland, Ill.; a daughter and son-in-law, Janeen and Johnny Martino; her fiance, Elbridge Catron of Eldon; two adopted daughters, Dee Barger and Betty Cantwell, both of Eldon; a sister, Nancy Diebel of Lake Ozark; and three grandchildren, Josh Maxwell, Manuel Maxwell and Nicole Maxwell.
A daughter, Leanna Maxwell, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon with the Rev. Jasper Hunter officiating.
Private services will be held at Memorial Park in St. Louis.
Memorials may be given in care of the family.
L. Elizabeth Maupin
L. Elizabeth Maupin, 85, of Tipton died Thursday, May 4, 2000, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
She was born Aug. 16, 1914, in Camden County to James and Ida Farmer Ayers.
On Oct. 1, 1932, she was married to Raymond L. Maupin, who died Jan. 11, 1983.
Mrs. Maupin had worked at the Biltwell Pants Factory in Tipton.
She was a member of the Fortuna United Methodist Church, the Missionary Society, Fortuna Senior Citizens and the Fortuna Homemakers Club.
Surviving are a son, Ed Maupin of Independence; two daughters, Jacqueline Clark of Tipton and Glenda Veulemans of Sunrise Beach; a brother, James H. Ayres of Eldon; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fortuna United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Adkison officiating.
Burial was in Newkirk Cemetery near Fortuna under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
Bill E. Denton
Bill E. Denton, 63, of Olean died Monday, June 12, 2000, at his home.
He was born Jan. 12, 1937, in Brinkley, Ark., to Bill and Virginia Bartrand Denton.
Mr. Denton had worked as a marine repairman.
He was a member of the Lake Ozark Christian Church and the Brazito VFW.
Surviving him are two daughters, Mary Beth Lamb of Independence and Rebecca Suzanne Regan of South Carolina; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon.
Burial was in Greenmore Memorial Gardens at Barnett.
Memorials may be made to the Lake Ozark Christian Church or the American Lung Association.
Frank J. Clark
Frank J. Clark, 60, of Eldon died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
He was born Jan. 14, 1940, in Pittsburg, Kan., to Albert Earl "Spec" and Dorothea Catherine Sanders Clark.
On Dec. 1, 1967, he was married in Fulton to Sally Robinson, who survives at the home.
Mr. Clark was a U.S. Marine veteran and owned and operated a roofing company, several restaurants and lounges in southern California.
Also surviving him are two sons, the Rev. Kent Clark of Moundridge, Kan., and Tracy Clark of Eldon; a daughter, Mindy Scott of Omaha, Neb.; three brothers, Larry G. Clark of Kansas City, James Clark of Fulton and Gerald P. Clark of Moreno Valley, Calif.; two sisters, Caroline Kubins of Kansas City and Patricia Tutt of Fulton; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hedges Funeral Home in Osage Bech with the Rev. Kent Clark officiating.
Ethel C. Manring
Ethel C. Manring, 71, of Eldon died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.
She was born June 14, 1928, to Charles C. and Ethel M. Linda Riedel.
She was married to Linza "Gene" E. Manring, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Manring was a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 1563, in Cahokia, Ill.
Surviving here are four sons, Wayne Manring of Houston, Texas, Pete Manring of Chatham, Ill., and Michael and Darren Manring, both of Eldon; a daughter, Catherine Manring of Anna, Ill.; two brothers, Walter Riedel of Eldon and Don Riedel of High Ridge; two sisters, Doris Hubbart and Cheryn Wright, both of Maryland Heights; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Braun Colonial Funeral Home in Cahokia, Ill, with the Rev. Jonathon Winterfeldt officiating.
Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
