Miss Edith Leonard
Miss Edith Leonard, 84, Clarksburg, died Monday, April 12, 1999, at Tipton Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 1, 1915, in Latham, a daughter of Joseph Lee and Maud Grace Medlin Leonard.
Miss Leonard was a presser at Tipton Pants Factory, retiring in 1965.
She was a member of Clarksburg Baptist Church and the Ready Willing Club at Clarksburg.
She graduated from Latham High School.
Surviving is one brother, Harold Leonard with his wife, Lelith, Tipton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Warren Leonard, Frank Leonard, Norman Leonard and Edward Leonard; and three sisters, Lena Scott, Melba Scott and Maxine Coffelt.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Leroy Moon and the Rev. Ivan Dameron officiating.
Burial will be in Latham Cemetery near Latham.
Pallbearers will be Leo Jordan, Jamie Peters, Danny James, Junior Lucas, Louie Elgin, James Gross and John Gross.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Debbie Gross Benefit fund in care of Tipton Latham Bank.

Carl B. Hilty
Carl B. Hilty, 90, Versailles, died Monday morning, April 12, 1999, at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
He was born March 30, 1909, in Donnellson, Iowa, a son of Peter P. and Barbara Mary Koller Hilty.
Dec. 24, 1934, in Versailles, he married Gladys Viola Driver.
She died May 27, 1984.
Mr. Hilty was a retired farmer and a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church near Versailles.
Surviving is one son, Chester D. Hilty, Dixon, Ill.; three daughters, Twila Garber, Kathryn Nikkel and Doris Hilty, all of Versailles; three brothers, Dr. Hiram Hilty, Green sboro, N. C., Dr. Peter Hilty, Cape Girardeau, and Calvin Hilty, Strathmore, Calif.; one sister, Dorothy Mae Baumgartner, Versailles; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Paul Hilty; two sisters, Esther Gerber and Winifred Lutman; and one granddaughter, Alice Rebecca Nikkel.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday (today) at Bethel Mennonite Church with the Rev. Tom Voth officiating.
Music will be by a quartet comprised of Stanley Garber, Barry Garber, Melvin Gerber and Phil Hilty, accompanied at the piano by Mary Gerber and at the organ by Elizabeth Groth.
Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charles Bennett, Adair Bennett, James Nikkel, Benjamin Hilty, Timothy Hilty and Matthew Hilty.
Memorials are suggested to Bethel Mennonite Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

Russell A. Pethan
Russell A. Pethan, 40, Bunceton, died Monday, April 5, 1999, at the University of Missouri Health Science Center in Columbia as a result of injuries sustained in an explosion at his Lone Elm shop.
He was born Jan. 18, 1959, in Boonville, the son of Earl William and Margaret Borgmann Pethan.
Mr. Pethan was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Clark's Fork.
He opened a small engine automobile repair shop in Lone Elm after his return to Missouri seven years ago.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Margaret and Hubert Shemwell, Boonville; two brothers, Earl Pethan Jr., Aurora, Colo., and Daniel Pethan, Prairie Home; two sisters, Patricia Campbell, Boonville, and Kathleen Grindstaff, Licking; nine nieces and nephews and four great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Elmer Schiefer officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steven Bryan, Gary Todd, Steve Huth, Mike Burke, Gary Lohse and Neil Sanders.
Memorials are suggested to the Clark's Fork Church Organ Fund.

Mrs. Eunice A. Seek
Mrs. Eunice Ann Seek, 76, Eldon, formerly of Tipton, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City.
She was born Aug. 1, 1923, in Sedalia, a daughter of Lester H. and Elsie Lee Perdue McClure.
She was married Aug. 1, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan., to Billy E. Seek, who died June 22, 1968.
Mrs. Seek was a homemaker and did volunteer work.
She attended the Methodist church.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Albin, Boonville, and Lauren Fox, Bowling Green , Ky.; four sons, Billy M. Seek, Festus, Robert J. Seek, Eldon, Dr. Melvin M. Seek, Ocala, Fla., and Kenneth G. Seek, Boneville, Ga.; two brothers, Jerry McClure, Boonville, and Lee McClure, Waynesboro, Va.; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Janice Keeley, preceded her in death.
Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eldon United Methodist Church with the Rev. Fred Smith officiating.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse, with burial under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.
Memorials are suggested to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Claud E. Parker
Claud E. Parker, 90, Clarksburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999, at California Care Center in California.
He was born April 29, 1909, in Cooper County north of Clarksburg, the son of Charles Monroe and Ollie Mae Simms Parker.
He was married in February 1940 to Lula Evelyn James in California.
She preceded him in death.
Mr. Parker was a self-employed mechanic and welder, retiring in 1989 due to ill health.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are six sons, Jr. Parker with his wife, Linda, Charles Parker, Leon Earl Parker and Robert Parker, all of Clarksburg, Larry Parker with his wife, Sherry, Tipton, and Ed Parker with his wife, Gail, California; three daughters, Alice Pate with her husband, Walter, and Dorothy George, all of California, and Ruby Birdsong with her husband, William, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark.; one brother, James R. Parker, Clarksburg; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Tom Parker, Willis Parker and Norman Parker.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Chapel in California.
Burial was in Hickman Cemetery south of Clarksburg with the Rev. Ivan Dameron officiating.
Pallbearers were Randy Parker, Phillip Schroeder, Thomas Parker, Larry James Parker, Wesley George, Jimmy Pate, Carl Pate, Steven Pate, Christopher Parker and Rusty Parker.
The family suggests memorials to the Hickman Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 124, California, Mo. 65018, or a charity of the family's choice.

B. W. Meyer
B. W. Sapp Meyer, 86, Boonville and formerly of Bunceton, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at Lake View Nursing Home, Boonville.
He was born June 5, 1913, at Pilot Grove, a son of Dan and Lucy Ann Daugherty Meyer.
On June 14, 1941, at Waynesville, he married Ruby Alice Mixer who died May 7, 1999.
Mr. Meyer was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Bunceton Masonic Lodge #456 and the Bunceton Lions Club.
He worked for 30 years for the Missouri State Highway Department, retiring in 1967.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Meyer, Bunceton, and Gary Meyer, Climax Springs; one sister, Helen Eichelberger, Collinsville, Ill.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Bill Meyer; and one sister, Ruby Livingston.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove.
Burial was in Bunceton Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Hurt, Darren Meyer, Roy Jeffries, Butch Larimore, Camron Cathey and Bill Harned.
The family suggests memorials to the Bunceton Masonic Cemetery.
