Theodore Roosevelt Heflin, age 75 of Jane, passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.
He proudly served his country for over 20 years in the United States Marines Corps; highly decorated Gunnery Sergeant defending our country in combat in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.
Velma Louise Carterman
Velma Louise Carterman, 80 of Granby, Mo. died 5:35 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Freeman Neosho Hospital following a short illness.
Mrs. Carterman was born September 27, 1925 in Newton County, MO, to Vernon and Chloe (Wingo) Sitler.
Fredrica Jean Hanson
Fredrica Jean Hanson, 82, of Neosho, died 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Medicalodge of Neosho after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 7, 1924 in Bismarck, N. D., to Francis and Hermina (LeFrink) Slag.
Mrs. Hanson lived many years in California before moving to Granby, Mo., in 1978.
In 1996, she and her husband relocated to Neosho, Mo.
Her most cherished roles were those of housewife, mother and grandmother.
She also worked as an executive secretary for a tooling company in Los Angeles and for the U.S. Government during World War II.
She kept the books and managed the family muffler and exhaust business located in Los Angeles.
She was a member of St. Canera Catholic Church and served as a church organist for many years.
She married L. Glen Hanson, Feb. 10, 1945, in Bismarck, N. D.
He preceded her in death, Sept. 25, 2005.
Survivors include five children, Mary Jo Hanson, of Neosho, Glenda Jean Hanson, of Anaheim, Calif., Edward F.B. Hanson, of San Diego, Calif., Margaret Leone Emery, of Palm Springs, Calif., and John Conrad Hanson, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bernard, Victor, and John Slag, all of North Dakota, and Tom Slag, of New Mexico; one sister, Magdeline Wanner, of North Dakota.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cara Jane Hanson (May 11, 1997), one sister, Mary Hesch, and three brothers, Joe, Bob, and Herman Slag.
Funeral services will be noon, Saturday, April 22, 2006, at St. Canera Catholic Church, with Father Jaroslaw Skrzypek officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Granby.
Pallbearers will be Clarence Nowak, Cliff Anthon, Kevin Vance, James Kelso, Bart O'Shea and Dave Vance.
The Rosary will be offered at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family visitation following until 7:30 p.m.
Additional viewing will be available noon - 7:30 p.m. today.

She had been hospitalized since suffering a pulmonary embolism on May 14, 2002.

Royce Woodworth
Royce Woodworth, 60, Granby, died at 9:16 pm, Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, following a one year illness.
Mr. Woodworth was born Oct. 2, 1943, in Southern Illinois and moved to the area in 1992.
He worked as a heat treater for Caterpillar, Inc. and retired in 1991.
He enjoyed hunting, restoring old cars and raising quarter horses and was a member of the Silver Moon Full Gospel Church.
Royce married Judith 'Judy' Breedlove in 1963 at Aurora, ILL, and she survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Steven Woodworth, Neosho; three sisters, Donna O'Neal and Rose Kennedy both of Ozark, ILL; Kay Laura, Vienna, ILL; a grandson, Colton Woodworth and his mother in law, Gladine Breedlove of Neosho.
Services will be Sat., April 3, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories.
Rev. Fred Franks will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from noon until 5 pm and Friday from 9 am to 7 pm and the family will receive friends from 6 pm to 7 pm Friday evening at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.

Bob Turner
Bob B. Turner, Sr., 76, Neosho, died at 11:05 a.m., Wed., March 31, 2004 at a Neosho Nursing Home, following a long illness.
Mr. Turner was born Feb. 12, 1928 in Stark City, MO, and was a lifelong area resident, moving to Neosho from Granby in 1982.
He was a farmer and a member of the Neosho United Methodist Church.
Bob married his wife, Opal (Wright) Turner on Feb. 14, 1954 in Hopewell, MO, and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by a son, Bob Turner, Jr. also of Neosho.
Graveside services will be Friday, April 2, 2004 at 1:30 pm at the Berwick Cemetery, near Pierce City, MO.
Rev. Gene Cole and Rev. Ken Robinson will officiate.
Friends may call Thursday from noon until 7 pm and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm Thurs. evening at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.

Rex Camerer
Rex N. Camerer, 82, Granby, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, following a sudden illness.
He was born Nov. 15, 1921 in Granby to Gus Camerer and Goldie (White) Camerer.
He was a lifelong area resident.
He worked at Atlas Powder Company in Joplin from 1952 to 1984.
He was also a farmer, rancher and a member of the Ritchey Baptist Church.
He married Ruth Green on Sept. 16, 1943. She preceded him in death July 18, 1990.
He later married Veva Beard Mayfield on Nov. 28, 1992.
She survives.
Additional survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and David Stanbery and Sheila and David Brummett, all of Granby; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Kim Camerer, also of Granby; four step sons, David Mafield, Neosho, Bud Mayfield and wife Sandy, Pierce City, Guy Mayfield, Ritchey, and Mark Mayfield, Amsterdam, Holland; two brothers, Wayne Camerer and Richard Camerer, both of Granby; one sister, Ellen Gamble, Granby; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Burress, Bentonville, Ark. and Quetta McDermott, Granby; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Merritt.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Grnaby with the Rev. Fred Franks officiating.
The Rev. Charles Leonard will assist.
Interment will follow at the Granby Memorial Cemetery.
Nephews, Mike Camerer, Pat Camerer, Bruce McDermott, Rex "Bub" McDermott, Jeff Burress, Richard Burress, Kevin Green and Jerod Swartz will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Camerer, Monty Gamble, Jerry Hawkins, Lewis Marion, Bill LeMaster and Bill O'Neal.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening.

Sheila Ann Michaels, 49, and her husband Robert Lee Michaels, 55, both of Pineville, died on Monday, March 29, 2004 at their home in Pineville.
They had moved to Pineville three weeks ago, coming from Garfield and Avaoca, Ark. areas.
They attended the Reddick Church in Garfield, Ark.
