Graveside services for Robert E. “Bob” Bagent, 77, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at Mint Springs Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Bagent passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, in Reynoldsburg.
He was born Jan. 16, 1931, in Highwater, Ohio, to Orville and Julia Ruth Funk Bagent.
In 1963, Mr. Bagent was married in Denver, Colo., to Vernie E. Englen, who preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 2004.
He was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army, and was a retired electrical engineer from Ranco.
He also was an enthusiastic and devoted member of the Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival, Reynoldsburg Truro Historical Society and the Senior Citizens of Reynoldsburg.
He is survived by his daughters, Sue Howell, Lansing, Mich., and Reba Riley, husband, Carrol Doug, Monticello, Ark.; grandchildren, Nick Howell, wife, Casandra, and Tia Reid, husband, Les; great-grandchildren, Madison Eve Howell and Landon Tate Reid; “Ohio daughter” Nancy and Bob Mergel; as well as numerous close friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Harvey “Bud” Bacon Holbrook
Funeral services for Harvey “Bud” Bacon Holbrook, 73, West Plains, Mo., will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, at First Baptist Church of West Plains under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Holbrook died 9:55 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Mo.
He was born Oct. 30, 1934, in West Plains, Mo., to Harvey Henry and Syble Ellouise Bacon Holbrook.
On Jan. 29, 1955, Mr. Holbrook was married at West Plains, Mo., to Wanda Jean Roberts.
He was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army and participated in the Nike Ajax Radar Program.
Mr. Holbrook was a journeyman and lineman for 55 years, and also was a foreman, general foreman, union steward and safetyman with the electrical industry. He was a member of Mt. Zion Lodge No. 327, West Plains, and was a member of the I.B.E.W.
Mr. Holbrook was of the Baptist faith with his membership in the First Baptist Church of West Plains for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Holbrook, of the family home; two children, Rhonda Lynn Ruth and David Leon Holbrook, both of West Plains; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Holbrook, Surprise, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Angela Holbrook, West Plains, and Sarah Holbrook, Surprise, Ariz.; three great-grandchildren, Shyonna Holbrook, Janeal Talton and Emonie Talton; two sisters, Mable Holbrook Wilson and Lois Holbrook Dobbs, both of West Plains; two brothers-in-law, Darrell Roberts, wife, Betty, Grove, Okla., and Jerry Roberts, wife, Cathy, West Plains; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Roberts Hall, husband, Hubert, West Plains; a cousin who was raised by his parents, Fay Ganley, Kansas City, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
His parents; son, Ronald Keith Holbrook; daughter, Patricia Jean Holbrook; granddaughter, Amy Holbrook; brother, Richard Holbrook; sister, Laverne Holbrook; mother-in-law, Helen Grisham Roberts; father-in-law, Virgil Roberts; three brothers-in-law, Ed Dobbs, Joe Ray Roberts and Les Wilson; two nephews, Owen Roberts and Virgil Wayne Roberts, and Roy Johnson, a cousin who was raised by his parents, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Homeland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Hospital and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Lawrence Allen “L.A.” Ford
Lawrence Allen “L.A.” Ford, 84, West Plains, Mo., formerly of the Many Springs community, was born Feb. 17, 1924, in Alton, Mo., and passed away March 2, 2008, at NHC HealthCare in West Plains.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Guffey) Ford, of the home; two daughters, Barbara Martin and husband, Kenneth, and Shirley Green and husband, David; two grandchildren, Rex Martin and Sonya Martin, all of Bois D’Arc; one stepson, Clinton Guffey and wife, Vicky, West Plains, Mo.; two stepgrandchildren, Heather Bunch and husband, Mark, and Barbara Guffey, all of West Plains, Mo.; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Landon and Carter Bunch, West Plains, Mo.; four sisters, Anna Barton, Peace Valley, Mo., Delora Vest and Martha Warren, Alton, Mo., and Olive Bales, Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one brother, David Ford, Peace Valley, Mo.; a special nephew, Cleve Warren, West Plains, Mo.; and numerous other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Daisy (Williams) Ford; his parents, Farris and Winnie (Houdek) Ford; a sister, Frances Ford; a brother, Chris Ford; and two infant brothers, Daniel and Jessie.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Clary Chapel, Alton, Mo., with Brother Ronnie Blanks officiating, and interment following in Many Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Clary Funeral Home, Alton, Mo.
Betty Jo (Cresap) McMillian
Betty Jo (Cresap) McMillian, 84, Farmington, Mo., quietly slipped away to her eternal rest Feb. 24, 2008, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 2, 1923, in Brandsville, Mo., the daughter of Charles P. Cresap and Florence Capshaw Cresap.
On May 21, 1946, she married John Russell McMillian.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia McMillian, and one son, Michael McMillian and wife, Carla; two granddaughters, Cherilyn Franklin and husband, Joe, Kelly McMillian; four great-grandchildren, Madison McMillian, Alex and Emma Grace Franklin, all of Farmington, Emily Evans, Ashland, Ky.; two sisters-in-law, Sybillia Cresap, Advance, Mo., and Jennie Cresap, Brandsville, Mo.; four nieces, Ann Smalley, Rebecca Kucera, Debbie Bollinger and Nancy Tribble.
Mrs. McMillian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters and three brothers.
Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brandsville, Mo., under the direction of White Funeral Home, Ironton. Graveside services were noon Feb. 27, 2008, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brandsville, with Rev. Roger Hogan officiating.
Mrs. Ivalee Christopher
Mrs. Ivalee Christopher passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008, while at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Mo. Born March 13, 1934, in Mtn. Grove, Mo., to George and Freda Richmond, she was 73 years old.
Ivalee was raised in Dawson, Mo., and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School.
On Sept. 5, 1952, Ivalee married John T. Christopher in Mtn. Grove, Missouri and the couple eventually settled in Willow Springs.
Ivalee had many enjoyments in her life such as crochet, golfing and camping at Bidwell Point in Mtn. Home, Ark.; however, she mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and was described as a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be missed on Fridays at Toby D’s for her weekly beauty appointment and lunch afterward with her granddaughter, Chrissy.
Ivalee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John T. Christopher, on October 31, 2005; and a son, Harold Max Christopher, on May 26, 2003.
Mrs. Christopher is survived by her daughter, Brenda “Sue” Kidwell and husband, Bob, Willow Springs; grandchildren, Kyle Kidwell, West Plains, Chrissy Crudgington and husband, Jeremy, Willow Springs, and Shirley Brown, West Plains. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Austin Kidwell, West Plains, and Wyatt, Landon and Aspen Crudgington, and Paisley (who is on the way), all of Willow Springs. Ivalee will be dearly missed by her special friend and domino partner, Opal Pierce.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Willow Funeral Home, 106 E. Third St., Willow Springs. The funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at Westside Family Life Center, 1274 County Road 5270, Willow Springs. Burial will follow Thursday’s service at the Willow Springs City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home in Willow Springs.
R V Pitcock
Funeral services for R V Pitcock, 85, Caulfield, Mo., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pitcock died 7:57 a.m. Sunday, March 2, 2008, in Gainesville Health Care Center, Gainesville, Mo. She was born Jan. 16, 1923, in Bendavis, Mo., to Golden Milford and Ora Leona Williams Mitchell.
Mrs. Pitcock enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, crocheting, knitting and going to yard sales.
She attended the Non-Denominational Church of Bakersfield, Mo.
She is survived by four children, Milford May, wife, Freda, Calico Rock, Ark., Pete Pitcock, Liberal, Kan., Allen Pitcock, Lincoln, Neb., and Ruth Ann Coffman Olson, Mesa, Ariz.; brother-in-law, Perry Hayes; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Mitchell and Dimple Mitchell; grandchildren, Deanna Aubrey, Ashley Olson, Melissa Horton, husband, Terry, Judy Hale, Beth Young, husband, Billy, and Gene May; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents; one daughter, Nona Joy Rhine; two sons, Larry Manuel Pitcock and Victor Pitcock; five brothers; one infant brother; and two sisters preceded her in death.
Burial will be at Bakersfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bakersfield Cemetery and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Norman Lee Boggs
Norman Lee Boggs, 57, Benton, Ark., died March 30, 2008 in Weleetka, Okla. He was born Aug. 27, 1950, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Hubert Benjamin and Lois Foster Boggs.
He served in the U. S. Marine Corp. from Oct. 1, 1969, through July 18, 1974, during the Vietnam War, where he earned a Purple Heart Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, a Rifle Expert Badge, a Combat Action Ribbon, a Vietnam Service Medal and a Vietnam Campaign Medal.
He was a retired transportation expert for Arkansas Best Freight, a member of Teamsters Union Local No. 878 and an avid bluegrass fan.
In addition to his parents, two sisters, Jean McClain and Linda Miller, and one brother, Delton Boggs, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Boggs, Benton; one son, Chris Boggs, Benton; two daughters, Desiree and husband, Lyndell Beard, West Plains, Mo., and Angela and husband, Rusty Winfield, Hope, Ark.; two brothers, Finus Boggs, Marysville, Wash., and Arlie Wakely, Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, Yvonne Roach, Dewey, Ariz., Gledea White, Alma, Ark., and Marla Duba, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; seven beloved grandchildren, Stephanie, Zach and Josh Winfield, and Spencer, Austin, Weston, and Olivia Beard; and many, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Norman was a doting father and grandfather and a friend to all. He will be deeply missed.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2008, at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, with Rev. William Penn officiating. Pallbearers are Gary Harvey, Clint McLaughlin, Bobby Cunningham, Kevin Koller, Lee BeCraft and J.C. Winningham. A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008, at the residence.
