Curtis Donald French of Bell City, FL died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003 at his home.
He was 72.
He was born at Silver Lake, the son of the late Arthur and Ellen French.
He was married to Pauline (Rodgers) French, who survives in Bell City, FL.
Other survivors include one daughter, Linda Greenwood of St. Charles; one son, Donald French of Bell City, FL; three brothers, Kenneth French, Clovis French, and Herbert French, all of Perryville; three sisters, Ruby Cox of O'Fallon, and Leona Drury and Judy Groomer, both of Fenton; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Wanda (French) Hahn.
Mr. French served in the U.S. Navy.
He worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis as a steel heat treater before moving to Florida, 12 years ago.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Fanning Springs, FL.
He was a member of Priscilla Baptist Church in Florida.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Watson Funeral Home in Trenton, FL, with the Rev. Ray Scott officiating.
Burial was in Priscilla Cemetery in Florida.

Robert Y. Williams
Robert Young Williams of Perryville, died Saturday, May 13, 2000 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was 72.
He was born June 10, 1927 in St. Louis, the son of the late Carl F. and Ruth (McCauley) Williams.
He was married on March 22, 1963 to Doris M. Door who survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Carol O'Shields of St. Louis; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scot and Pat Williams and Roy and Jane Williams, all of St. Louis; one son-in-law, James Stringer; one sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Don Kurt of St. Louis; eight grandchildren, Jenny Williams, Mike Williams, Shawn O'Shields, Shannon O'Shields, Greg Williams, Kelly Williams, J.R. Stringer, and Randee Stringer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Robin Stringer.
Mr. Williams was a Navy Veteran. He was the retired owner of Security Business, past exalted ruler of Perryville Elks Lodge 2701, leader of Boy Scout Troop 821 in Affton, vice commander of Commonwealth Yacht Club, and a member of the board of directors of Grand Lake Yacht Club.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Ronald McDonald House or cancer research.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 10 at 11 a.m. at Perryville Elks Lodge #2701 in Perryville.

Betty D. Tant
Betty D. (Breland) Tant of Gulfport, Miss., formerly of Perryville, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000 in Biloxi, Miss.
She was 43.
She was born the daughter of Julian and Reva (Henderson) Breland of Wiggins, Miss., formerly of Perryville.
She was married to Gary Tant who survives in Gulfport, Miss.
Other survivors include two sons, Zachary Tant and Eli Tant both of Gulfport, Miss. and two sisters, Nancy Gable of Talledega, Ala. and Judy Woods of Topeka, Kan.
Mrs. Tant was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for 22 years.
She was employed as a medical technologist for Gulf Coast Medical Center in Gulfport, Miss.
She was a member of Camp Ground Missionary Baptist Church and the Eastern Star in Perryville.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Gulfport, Miss.
Burial was in Paramount Cemetery in Stone County.

Erwin Dreyer
Erwin A. Dreyer of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000 at his home in Cape Girardeau.
He was 85.
He was born May 27, 1915 in Frohna, the son of the late Joachim and Anna (Schlimpert) Dreyer.
He was married June 7, 1936 in Shawneetown to Lucille (Gerharter) Dreyer, who preceded him in death March 19, 1974.
He was next married Jan. 24, 1976 in Cape Girardeau to Lorna M. Schilling Weber, who survives in Cape Girardeau.
Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Leonard G. and Sharon Dreyer of Jackson; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Martin B. and Paula Weber, Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Marlene and Morris Stough of Jacksonville, Fla., Loretta and William Leroy Duckett of Cape Girardeau, and Geneva and Gary Brandes of Oak Ridge; one step-daughter, Maxine Hessel of Phoenix, Ariz.; twin brother, Gib Dreyer of Frohna; one sister, Myrtle Petzoldt of Altenburg; three grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 16 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; and one daughter, JoAnn.
Mr. Dreyer was baptized, schooled, and then confirmed in 1929 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.
While residing in Shawneetown, he served on the Board of Trustee at Trinity Lutheran Church until 1944 when they moved to Frohna.
He was on the Concordia Lutheran Church Finance Board, Board of Elders, Board of Trustees, Men's Club, a Sunday school teacher, and was one of the charter founders at Saxon Lutheran Memorial, and served on Town Board and was with the Volunteer Fire Dept., and was co-owner of Frohna Feed Store.
He moved to Cape Girardeau, in 1975 and worked for Rental Land in Cape Girardeau, retiring after twenty years employment.
He was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
He served as an usher, Board of Elders, Property Board, and Finance Board.
He and his wife were very active as volunteers at St. Francis Medial Center, Red Cross, and with Fish Line.
The family prefers memorials to be made to Saxony Lutheran High School Building fund.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 5 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Short officiating.
Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Anna M. (Clements) Finger of Perryville, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001 at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.
She was 71.
She was born April 26, 1929 in Perry County, the daughter of the late William and Lena (Ruch) Clements.
She was married Oct. 4, 1947 to Lawrence Finger, who preceded her in death Oct. 20, 2000.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law and one daughter and son-in-law, Roy and Louise Finger of Perryville and Linda and Dwight Caldwell of St. Louis; seven brothers and one sister, Sylvester Clements of Lake Charles, La.; Gilbert Clements, Ralph Clements, and Raymond Clements, Elmer Clements all of Jackson; Edward Clements of Malvern, Ark.; and Hilda Zoellner of Longtown; four grandchildren, Barbara Finger of Perryville; Richard Finger of St. Louis; Jennifer Koontz of Ozark; and Randy Finger of Perryville; and one great-grandchild, Melanie Dodd of Perryville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Norbert Clements; one sister, Hattie; and one grandson.
Mrs. Finger was a home maker.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Marie E. (Elder) Schindler of Perryville, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001 at PerryOaks Manor in Perryville.
She was 80.
She was born April 19, 1920 in Perryville, the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Clara (Balsman) Elder.
She was married June 19, 1946 to Edgar C. Schindler, who preceded her in death April 13, 1959.
Survivors include many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Robert Elder.
Mrs. Schindler was a retired bookkeeper from Rozier Mercantile Company in Perryville.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Ladies Sodality, and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary all of Perryville.
The family prefers memorials to be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church or St. Vincent de Paul Educational Foundation.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

Mildred (Duncan) Rolens of Perryville, died Thursday, April 5, 2001 at her home.
She was 72.
She was born Nov. 22, 1928 in Bollinger County, the daughter of the late Ruben and Mary Duncan.
She was married February 1947 to Ivan Rolens, who preceded her in death October 1993.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Johnson of Perryville; June Rolens of Fredericktown; and Wilma Ochs of Uniontown; three sons, Ronnie Rolens of Frohna; Paul Rolens and Glen Rolens, both of Guthrie, Okla.; one sister, Ruby Haile of Woodstock, Ga.; one aunt, Ruth Shrum of Marble Hill; 23 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Johnny Duncan.
Mrs. Rolens had been a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Perryville.

The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 9 at First Assembly of God Church in Perryville with the Rev. John Chamness officiating.
