LoraBelle Wagner
LoraBelle Wagner, daughter of John Seth Zumwalt and Ina Laquey Zumwalt, was born March 25, 1918 near Richland. She departed this life Nov. 9, 2003 at Murrieta, Calif.
LoraBelle grew up in the Berean neighborhood, attending the Hilton School and later graduating from Richland High School in 1936. She moved to California in 1941 where she met and married Willard "Wag" Wagner on July 16, 1944. They lived in Lakewood, Calif., until 1979 when they moved to Richland to enjoy their retirement. During those years she was a member of First Baptist Church, the Sunshiners group, the Ozark Hills Club, and the Richland High School Alumni Association. They returned to live in California in June, 1977.
LoraBelle was preceded in death by her husband Willard "Wag" Wagner, two brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Margaret and Gary McCray, Johnnie and Joe Francis, and Mary Jo Wagner and Ed Keenan. Also surviving are six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, Calif., with Dr. Gary Alan Dickey officiating.

James Stanley Haage
James Stanley Haage, one of seven children born to the union of the late James Everett and Mary Ellen (Murphy) Haage, was born February 20, 1947 in Kahoka, Missouri in Clark County.
On August 27, 1965, James was united in marriage with Marjorie Ann Osbon. James and Marjorie were blessed with five sons: James, David, Daniel, Michael and Joseph.
In 1966, James enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served tours in Vietnam, Germany, Alaska and installations all over the continental United States. For his honorable and faithful service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze service stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal with seventh oak leaf cluster, Drill Sergeant Identification Badge, Mechanic Badge, Army Good Conduct Medal sixth award, Overseas Service Ribbon third award and the Non-commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon third level. Staff Sergeant Haage retired from his military career in 1986.
Upon retirement, James went to work as a millwright in the Fort Madison, Iowa area. In July of 1994 the family moved to the Waynesville area. James worked for several different employers including the Bell Cab Company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and tinkering as a shade tree mechanic.
James departed this life the morning of July 7, 2002 at the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, at the age of 55 years.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Marjorie of the home and five sons: James Haage and his wife, Sheila of Goodlettesville, Tenn., David Haage and his wife, Marcella of Ft. Campbell, Ky., Daniel Haage of Burlington, Iowa, Michael Haage and his wife, Tina of Keokuk, Iowa and Joseph Haage of the home. He also leaves four sisters: Mary Beck of Lake City, Iowa, Letha Sherrill of Kahoka, Goldie Laymon of Revere, and Esther Justice of Williamstown; eleven grandchildren, and several other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, James was also preceded in death by his only brother: Kenneth Haage and one sister: Mildred Simmons.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 10 at Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Keith Carnahan officiating. "Amazing Grace" was played. James' sons: James, David, Daniel, Michael and Joseph served as escorts.
Burial with military honors provided by the U.S. Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, was in Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery, Waynesville, Missouri. Services are under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

Florene Harrison
Florene Harrison of Crocker was born on Sept. 18, 1918 at Crocker, a daughter of Homer and Mary "Met" Caldwell Stites, and departed this life on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 in the Christian Health Care Center East, Springfield. Mrs. Harrison had attained the age of 84 years.
Mrs. Harrison was united in marriage on July 7, 1938, at Waynesville, to Burnis Nelson Harrison and to this union six children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, James "Jim" Harrison; six sister, Fern Carothers, Opal Bollinger, Violet Burnett, Virginia Perkins, Rosie Mae Stites, and Irene Stites.
Mrs. Harrison was baptized and joined the Concord Christian Church early in life. She was a devoted housewife and homemaker, and was always diligent in providing for the needs of her dear family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Harrison include: two sons, Roger Harrison, Crocker, and Steve Harrison, Waynesville; three daughters, June Hensley, Livingston, Texas, Brenda Finch, Springfield, and Mary Harrison, Lake Worth, Florida; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Precious memories of Mrs. Harrison will long be remembered in the hearts of her dear family and all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Harrison at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003 in the Long Funeral Home, Crocker, with Rev. Lee Todd officiating. Jimmy Moore sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden" and was accompanied by Betty Doyle who also provided the prelude and postlude.
Interment was in the Madden Cemetery, Crocker, under the direction of the Long Funeral Home, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mrs. Harrison were Randy Stroud, Bob Malmberg, Randy Malmberg, Dennis Thornsberry, Frankie Singleton, and Tom Shattuck.
Memorials are suggested to the Madden Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at the Long Funeral Home, Crocker.

Johanna S. McCoy
Johanna S. McCoy was born May 9, 1929 in Novi Sad Backa, Yugoslavia. She was one of four children born to the union of the late Oscar and Franziska (Teichmann) Hirsch. As an infant, Johanna was baptized into the holy Catholic Church.
The Hirsch family moved to Germany when Johanna was a teenager. Life was very difficult during the WWII occupation. The Hirsch's were later sponsored by the Busman family of St. Louis to come to the United States.
On November 8, 1952, Johanna married Paul Eugene McCoy in Pocahontas, Ark. Johanna and Paul were blessed with two sons: Paul Jr. and Danny.
Johanna was employed by the Jim Egan family of St. Robert for several years. She later worked at Jim's Sure Quick at Buckhorn.
Johanna was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dixon. She grew beautiful flowers in her yard, and had a special rose bush given to her by her son, Danny. She enjoyed singing, playing the accordion and visiting with family and friends.
Johanna departed this life the evening of June 29, 2002 at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri, at the age of 73.
Johanna was a wonderful wife and mother. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Paul and two sons: Paul McCoy, Jr. and Danny McCoy all of Dixon. She also leaves one brother, Steve Hirsch and his wife, Judy of Nixa and one sister, Helen Alexander of Dixon; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Johanna was also preceded in death by one brother: Johnny Hirsch and one brother-in-law: Jimmy Alexander.
A funeral service was held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 6 at the United Methodist Church in Dixon with Rev. Wilbur Warman officiating. Pianist, Becky Lercher sang, "Amazing Grace." Serving as escorts were Jim, Danny, Steve, Oscar and Justin Alexander and Allen Bullock. Brett and Jeremiah Alexander served as honorary escorts.
Burial was in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.

CSM (Ret) Lionel Gene Welker
CSM (Ret) Lionel Gene Welker, son of the late Clarence and Verna (Redford) Welker, was born Dec. 7, 1939 in Clarkton.
On May 7, 1975, Lionel was united in marriage to Kyu Y Kim in Seoul, South Korea. They enjoyed over 29 years of marriage together.
Lionel served his country in the U.S. Army attaining the rank of Command Sergeant Major. After retiring from the Army, he was employed as a prison guard for the Department of Corrections in Licking.
Lionel passed away the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield at the age of 63.
Lionel will be sadly missed by his wife, Kyu Welker of the home; two sons, one daughter, two grandsons, one brother, two sisters, several other relatives and friends survive.
A graveside service with military honors was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery's columbarium with Chaplain OCPT) Andre D'Arden officiating. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

Neoma Ruth Wolf Rowden
Neoma Ruth Wolf Rowden, daughter of William E. and Elizabeth B. Wolf, was born April 1, 1903 in Independence.
On July 27, 1922 she was united in marriage with John Walter Crick and to this union were born four daughters. John Crick preceded her in death on May 7, 1934. On Oct. 1, 1936 she was united in marriage with Florence C. Rowden who had one daughter.
Neoma accepted Jesus as her Savior at an early age and was baptized April 11, 1945 into the Richland First Baptist Church. She was active in her church and was instrumental in establishing the Grace Baptist Church.
Her hobbies were crocheting, playing cards, politics, working puzzles, taking long car rides and watching basketball and Cardinal baseball.
Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ took Neoma to her eternal heavenly home on Monday, May 12, 2003 in North Little Rock, Ark., having attained the age of 100 years.
She is survived by four daughters, Vivian Vaughan and husband Wendall of Lakewood, Colo., Mae Prewett and husband Pryor of Richland, Donna Gilbert and husband Nolan of Springfield, and Lois Gore of North Little Rock, Ark.; one step daughter, Betty Rowden Wells of Calif.; nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two brothers; one sister; one son-in-law, Bob Gore; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rowden were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2003 at Colonial Chapel, Richland, with Dr. Michael Hawkins and Pryor Ray Prewett officiating. Escorts were Phil Peters, Travis Prewett, Victor Vaughan, Mike Gilbert, Johnny Ray Prewett, Richard Newell, Jeffery Gore and Dennis Gore.
Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery, Richland, under the direction of Thieme-Shadel-Hicks Funeral Service at Colonial Chapel, Richland.

Virgil August Luebken
Virgil August Luebken, son of Gustav A. and Vera M. Ercazeale Luebken, was born Dec. 29, 1927 in Flagler, Colorado, and departed this life May 10, 2003 in Columbia, at the age of 75 years.
On Feb. 14, 1958, he was united in marriage with Bonnie Watts, and of this union, six children.
Virgil served his country with the United States Navy and United States Army from May 8, 1945 until he was honorably discharged Dec. 31, 1967. Following his discharge, he was employed as a supply clerk with civil service at Ft. Leonard Wood. He enjoyed playing the guitar, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Virgil was of the Lutheran faith.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie of the home; four daughters, Deborah Williams and husband David of Rolla, Marilyn Sue Brand, Roanoke, Al., Sandra Kay Robinson and husband Noel Dean of Waynesville, Mabel Lee Jones of St. Robert; one son, Freddie Joe Jones of Crocker; one half brother, Larry Smith, state of Arizona; one sister, Alice Mae Carr, Fairbury, Neb.; one uncle, Anton Luebken, state of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Beverly Jean Jones; an infant twin sister, Vera Luebken; one sister Shirley Ann Moran; and one half sister, Linda Lee Luebken.
Funeral services for Mr. Luebken were held at 2 p.m. Wed., May 1, 2003 at Colonial Chapel, Richland, with Minister Chris Robinson officiating.
