Rev. Roger L. Connelly
Rev. Roger L. (Josh) Connelly, 86, died on November 5, 1999 at his home in Williamsville, Mo. He was born Jan. 1, 1913 in East St. Louis, Ill.
On May 19, 1934 he was united in marriage to Mildred Nadine Duckett and she preceded in death on January 5, 1995.
Also preceding in death is his parents, Charles Connelly and Nettie Alice (Swalley) Connelly, three brothers, James Robert Connelly, Ray Connelly and Robert Connelly, and two sisters, Lucille Connelly and Ella Mayes.
He is survived by two sons, Roger E. Connelly of Williamsville, Mo. and C. Richard Connelly of Birmingham, Ala., one daughter, Marilyn Slover of Williamsville, Mo., six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Rev. Connelly was a member of the Missouri East Conference of the United Methodist Church.
The service was at the United Methodist Church in Williamsville, Nov. 8, 1999, at 10 a.m. The Reverends Phil Coats, Kent Wilfond, and Glen Lashley officiated.
Pallbearers were Roger E. Connelly, Steven Fuchs, Clifford Smith, Paul Provow, James Hicks and John Bilbrey. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Williamsville, with arrangements by Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville.

Holly A. Whited
Holly Anne White, age 27, of Annapolis, died November 5, 1999 in St. Louis, Mo.
She was born February 11, 1972 in Ironton Mo.
Holly is survived by her parents, Fred Whited and Sharon Henson Whited; one brother, Greg Whited and wife, Stephanie; and one sister, Leslee Randazzo, and husband, Rick, all of Annapolis.
Holly was a 1991 graduate of South Iron School in Annapolis and a member of the Glover Baptist Church.
The service was at Ruegg Funeral Home, Nov. 9, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Kevin Kinnard officiated. Pallbearers were Rick Randazzo, Brian Pinkley, Robert Racer, Billy Whited, Anthony Hackworth and Willis Francis. Burial was in Huff Cemetery, Chloride, Mo., with arrangements by Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont.

Clifford M. Montgomery
Clifford M. Montgomery, 73, died November 6, 1999 at his home in Piedmont.
He was born March 22, 1926 in Silva.
He is survived by one son, Bobby D. Montgomery of Piedmont; one daughter, Jennifer Lynn Montgomery of Piedmont; and five grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Montgomery and Nora Clark Montgomery, and one sister, Goldie Marie DeShaney.
Clifford had worked in a sawmill and was of the Baptist faith.
The funeral was at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont Nov. 9, 1999 at 2 p.m. Rev. Dennis Allen officiated, with music by Glendell Twidwell, soloist, Jeanette Turnbough, pianist. Pallbearers were Rick McFadden, Alex Goodson, Dewell Whaley, Elzy Nash, John Whelehon and Gary Burch. Burial was in Twidwell Cemetery, Silva, with arrangements by Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont.

Rev. Eddie Martin
Rev. Eddie D. Martin, age 78, of Piedmont, died Nov. 8, 1999 at Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He pastored churches in Missouri and Arkansas for 25 years. He was the pastor at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Piedmont for a total of nine years, and was active in the Clearwater Ministerial Alliance for many years.
Born June 14, 1921 near Glen, Mo., he was the son of the late Teamous and Helen (Hess) Martin.
He was married to Mildred Foster in 1942, and she preceded him in death Dec. 1, 1972. He married Eunice Hale Feb. 15, 1974 at DeSoto, and she survives.
Other survivors are his children, Terry and Sherry Martin, Springfield; stepchildren, Darrel and Helen Hale, Festus; grandchildren, Terry and Ginger Martin, Jr., Springfield, Diana Martin, St. Louis; great granchildren, Hannah and Jeffery Martin.
Two brothers, Pepper and Stanley Martin, and one sister, Jean Brown, preceded him in death.
Rev. Martin was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1940 to 1945. He and his wife Eunice had made their home in Piedmont for the past several years.
The funeral was at 11 a.m. Nov. 10, 1999 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Piedmont. The Reverends Charlie Gillenwater and Gary Aubuchon officiated. Music was by Glendell Twidwell, Oresta Atnip, Cinda Wood, Ron Wood and Jeanette Turnbough. Casketbearers were church deacons, Melvin Moore, John Griffin, Eddy Hughes, Bob Sanders, Stan Garrison and Jim McFadden. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery at Naylor, directed by Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel, Piedmont.

Bobbie Bazzell
Bobbie Gale Bazzell, 58, died Feb. 14, 2000 in Piedmont.
He was born March 7, 1941 in St. Louis and was raised by his grandparents, the late Joseph Elijah and Ella Mae Bazzell.
Bobbie was a welder by trade and had worked at the American Car and Foundry.
He is survived by his mother, Georgia Simpson, Kennett, Mo; a son, Erman Kincaid, Jr., Hillsboro, Mo.; four daughters, Margaret Crocker, Cape Girardeau, Mo., Barbara Bazzell, Carrie Kincaid and Tara Kincaid, all of Park Hills, Mo.; three brothers, Darrell Bazzell, Windsor, Calif., Donnie and Jerry Bazzell, both of Creston, Calif.; four sisters, Carolyn Crawford, Kennett, Mo., Barbara Francis, Poplar Bluff, Cheryl Hunter, Goodlettsville, Tenn., Jocelyn Bazzell Hill, Montclair, Calif.; two grandchildren, Ashley Crocker, Alexandra Fitzpatrick; four aunts, Helen Hovely, Hazel Atnip, Nina Handy, Joann Gayle and Jean Husketh.
In addition to his grandparents, he was preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) Bazzell.
The funeral was Feb. 17, 2 p.m. at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont, officiated by Elder Bob Webb with recorded music.
Pallbearers were Daniel Crocker, Robert Gayle, Darrell Bazzell, Roger Meador, Richard Allen, Jason Myers. Burial was at Center Ridge Cemetery in Greenville.

Lola Yount
Lola Imogene Yount, 84, died Jan. 10, 2000 at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont.
She was born March 17, 1915 in Harviell, Mo., daughter of the late James Burton and Ethel (Ryan) Gowen.
Mrs. Yount had worked at a saw factory in St. Louis before her retirement.
Survivors include one daughter, Norma Louis, Piedmont; five brothers, Tom Gowen, Poplar Bluff, Ken Gowen, Tuscon, Ariz., Wilbur Gowen, Fredericktown, Darwin Gowen, Dean Gowen, both of St. Louis County; one sister, Aileen Holmes, St. Louis County; five grandchildren, Joseph and Carmen Louis, Piedmont, Jeana and Joe Boarman, St. Louis, James and Nikki Louis, Bonne Terre, Jerry and Cathy Louis, St. Louis, Jeff and Rhonda Louis, Ellsinore; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death were three brothers, Leonard, James and Ole Gowen and one sister, Fern Roberts.
The funeral was Jan. 13 at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont with Rev. Allen Calkins officiating.
Pallbearers were Joseph Louis, Jason Louis, Jeremy Louis, Jeffrey Louis, Jerry Louis, Jerrid Ross and James Louis. Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Louis and Damian Smith.

Missouri (Jane) Cravens
Missouri Jane Cravens, 82, died Feb. 15, 2000 at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
She was born Oct. 28, 1917 in Knoxall, Mo.
On Nov. 2, 1940 she was united in marriage to Merlin Cravens, who preceded her in death in 1967. Mrs. Cravens was a homemaker.
Surviving are one son, Roger Cravens, Williamsville; two daughters, Fonda J. Durrow, Greenville, Tonia D. Cornett, Arlington, Texas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Feb. 18 at Ruegg Funeral Home in Williamsville, officiated by Rev. Gary Wulverton with music provided by Jeanette Cox.
Pallbearers were Roger Cravens, Andy Durrow, Roger Cravens Jr., Jeff Lee, Gary Gramlich and Alex Ruegg. Burial was at Rucker Cemetery in Greenville.

Beulah I. Fair
Beulah I. (Morse) Fair, 79, died Feb. 17, 2000 in St. Charles, Mo.
She was born Oct. 30, 1920 in Chaonia, Mo., daughter of the late Charles and Nina (Birdnow) Morse.
On Nov. 26, 1938 she married John L. Fair, who preceded her in death Nov. 14, 1970. They spent much of their life in Winona, Mo., where Beulah was a charter member of the Baptist Church in Winona. She was employed by Paramount Cap Factory until she moved to St. Louis in 1977. She then worked for the National Park Service until her retirement.
Others preceding her in death were two brothers, Edgar and Joe Morse; one sister, Irene Page and her husband John.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ellen Towner, St. Charles, Mo.; one son, Richard Fair, DeSoto; one sister, Betty Piper, Metropolis, Ill.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Duncan Funeral Chapel in Winona on Saturday, Feb. 26, 1 p.m.
