Doyle Moss
Doyle Moss, 65, died June 12, 2004, at ClaRu DeVille Nursing Center in Fredericktown, Mo.
He was born Dec. 26, 1938, in Williamsville, Mo., son of the late James and Sylvia (Dees) Moss.
Mr. Moss was a self-employed stone mason and a musician.
He served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was a Christian.
He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Moss, Hopedale, Ill., Michael Moss, Illinois; two daughters, Sheila Adams, Fredericktown, Paula Peterson, Poplar Bluff; one brother, Joe Moss, Watkins, Iowa; three sisters, Pat Santhuff, Piedmont, Peggy Burrow, Patterson, Linda Kirkpatrick, Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeffrey Stuart Moss and David Earl Moss.
The funeral was held June 15 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Elmo Parker officiating.
Pallbearers were David Earl, Joe and Scotty Moss, Red Santhuff, Mike Hornung, Frankie Chaffing and Bob Hoy.
Burial was in Holiday Cemetery, Williamsville.
Graveside military honors were provided by Southeast Missouri Veterans Honor Guard, Poplar Bluff.

Kathy A. Cusack
Kathy Ann Cusack, 44, died May 23, 2004, in Williamsville, Mo.
She was born Jan. 25, 1960, in Danburg, Conn., daughter of Grace (Gennerich) Cusack, who survives and resides in New Fairfield, Conn. and the late Norman Richard Cusack.
Kathy was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by her companion of 15 years, Kevin Kinney, Williamsville; four sons, Michael Scofield, O'Fallon, Ill., Max Robinson, Silva, Kevin Kinney Jr., Broseley, Tyler Kinney of the home; one daughter, Elizbeth Hunter, O'Fallon, Ill.; one sister, Jacqueline Cusack, Madison, Conn.; grandmother, Claire Scofield, New Fairfield, Conn.
Graveside services were held June 12 at Carson Hill Cemetery, Piedmont, with Rev. David Million officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont.

Scott S. Warmack
Scott Shawn Warmack, 38, died June 3, 2004, in an automobile accident near Patterson, Mo.
He was born Jan. 12, 1966, in Kalamazoo, Mich., son of Calvin Warmack, who survives and resides in Kentucky and the late Naomi Warmack.
He was united in marriage to Connie Strossner Aug. 27, 1996, in Piedmont and she survives, residing in Patterson.
Mr. Warmack was self-employed. He attended the Lord's Chapel in Poplar Bluff and established the Born Again Heathen ministry.
In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by one daughter, Kelly; four brothers, David Warmack, Grand Rapids, Mich., Larry Warmack, Kenosho, Wisc., Terry Warmack, Jackson, Roger Warmack, Rockford, Ill.; one sister, Connie Nielson, Rockford, Ill.
The funeral was held June 7 at Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel, Piedmont, with Pastor Rowdy Boyer officiating.

Jerome 'Buford' Lewis
Jerome "Buford" Lewis, 88, died June 3, 2004, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born Jan. 23, 1916, in Des Arc, Mo., son of the late Jerome and Zella (Seal) Lewis.
He was united in marriage to Janet King in October of 1947, and she preceded him in death Dec. 18, 2001.
Mr. Lewis was owner/operator of a general merchandise store in Des Arc.
He was a merchant marine and a member of Wayne Masonic Lodge #526 AF&AM; and Scottish Rite of St. Louis.
He was of the Presbyterian faith.
He is survived by one son, Greg B. Lewis, Jackson; two brothers, Carter Lewis, Kansas City, Howard Lewis, Van Buren; one sister, Vela Nichols, St. Louis; one granddaughter, Victoria Lewis.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Lewis, four sisters, Avis Jones, Inez Knight, Juna Lovelace and Alta Lindquist.
The funeral was held June 10 at Des Arc Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Belmar officiating and music by Leslie McCaig.
Burial was in Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc.
Arrangements were under the direction of Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont.

Emma Lou Crites
Emma Lou Crites, 69, died Oct. 10, 2005, at her home in Greenville, Mo.
She was born July 2, 1936, near Greenville, Mo., daughter of the late Clyde and Audrey Deering.
She was united in marriage to Weldon E. Crites June 23, 1956, and he survives, residing in Greenville.
Mrs. Crites lived in St. Louis, for many years where she worked for the C.V. Mosby Publishing Company.
She returned to Greenville in 1969, where she and her husband ran the Mid-Way Drive-In for 29 years, until their retirement in 1998.
She was a member of OES #337, Greenville, and served as chapter secretary for 15 years.
She was a Past Matron in 1976, District Deputy Grand Matron in 1983, and was a member of the State Grand Office in 1986.
She wad a member of First Baptist Church, St. Peters.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Larry (Marjorie) Crites, Festus; one brother, George Deering, Greenville; one sister, Carolyn (Sidney) Mann, Greenville; three grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Crites, Laura and Cassie Crites.
The funeral was held Oct. 12 at Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel, Greenville, with Bro. Dan Ross officiating. Glendell Twidwell and Jeanette Turnbough provided music.
Pallbearers were Denny, Danny and Darrell Deering, Kenny Mann, David Mann and Paul Richmann.
Burial was in Greenville Cemetery.

Christopher T. Courtway
Christopher Thomas Courtway, 25, died Oct. 10, 2005, in Herculaneum, Mo.
He was born June 10, 1980, in St. Louis, Mo., son of Dale and Mary (Eldridge) Courtway.
Mr. Courtway worked as a laborer for a residential construction company.
He was an avid motorcycle rider.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Courtway, High Ridge; father and stepmother, Dale and Angela Courtway, House Springs; one son, Austin Joseph Foster; one daughter, Kurstin Angela Courtway, Ellington; one brother, Justin Courtway; one sister, Amanda Courtway, High Ridge; grandparents, Willie Eldridge, Piedmont, Ed and Marilyn Gamache, Arnold.
He was preceded in death by one grandfather, David Wesley Eldridge, July 2, 2005.
The funeral was held Oct. 15 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. John Smith officiating.
Pallbearers were Ed Siery, Pete Miscella, Donnie Lane, J.R. Weingenhoffer, Cory Carver and Justin Hienes.

Robert W. Laxton
Robert W. Laxton, 45, formerly of Piedmont, died Oct. 13, 2005, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
He was born June 21, 1960, in Wentzville, Mo., son of the late Willard and Evelyn (Stocker) Laxton.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Works June 16, 2005, and she survives, residing in Dexter.
Mr. Laxton was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was employed as a janitor for Kneibert Clinic, Poplar Bluff.
He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeffery Laxton, Poplar Bluff, Robert Laxton Jr., Piedmont; one daughter, Brittany Laxton, Farmington; three brothers, Willard Laxton Jr., Bismarck, Charles Laxton, Poplar Bluff, John Laxton, Piedmont; two sisters, Wanda Wenzel, DuQuoin, Ill., Georgia Smith, Cutler, Ill.; one grandchild, Jillian Wells; four stepdaughters; eight step-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Oct. 16 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Cody Mosbey officiating and providing music.
Pallbearers were Donnie O'Neal, Alex Goodson, John Laxton, Charles Laxton, Willard Laxton Jr., and Nick and Wendell Laxton.
Burial was in Mill Spring Cemetery, Mill Spring.
