Keith Edwin Stout, 47, died Dec. 21, 2005, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
He was born Oct. 8, 1958, in St. Louis, Mo., son of Helen (Middleton) Stout, who survives and resides in Patterson, and the late Dale Stout.
He was united in marriage to Cathie Silvy May 13, 1978, and she survives, residing in Des Arc.
Mr. Stout had worked for a pallet mill as an equipment operator. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Jason (Melissa) Stout, Vulcan; three sisters, Debra Wentz, Annapolis, Vicki Russell, Patterson, Sandra (Larry) Hughes, Carrollton, Ga.; four grandchildren, Dale Stout II, Caleb Stout, Jonathon and Matthew Keplinger.
The funeral was held Dec. 24 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Jerry Cunieo and Rev. Elmo Parker officiating.
Pallbearers were Darrell Middleton, Barry Hughes, Bobby Wentz, Christopher Hughes, Jeffrey Brewer and Keith Brewer. Burial was in Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc.
Mary J. Nuccio
Mary Josephine Nuccio, 78, died Dec. 2, 2005, at Burgan Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.
She was born Jan. 26, 1927, daughter of the late Raney and Sallie (Yancey) Allen.
As a young teenager she sang, along with her sister Ola Ward and nephew Bobby Ward, on KMOX radio in St. Louis. There, she met Joseph Nuccio, an accomplished accordion player, and they were married Jan. 28, 1944. He preceded her in death April 1, 1982.
She is survived by four children, Judy (Terry) Battiato, Kathy (Paul) CreMeens, all of Omaha, Neb., Michael (Margie) Nuccio, Sally Jo (David) Miller, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; five sisters, Gladys Sullivan, Piedmont, Pauline Hale, Silva, Eunice Howard, St. Louis, Virginia Roussin, St. Clair, Shirley Smith, Hillsboro; two brothers, Glen Allen, Clubb, Jerry Allen, Silva; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were five brothers, Andrew, Edward, Gilford, Grady and Richard Allen, and two sisters, Ola Ward and Kathleen Albrecht.
The funeral was held at St. Mark Lutheran Church. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Omaha, Neb.
Spencer Lyon
Spencer Lyon, 62, died Dec. 31, 2005, at his residence in Piedmont, Mo., after a yearlong battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 17, 1943, in Evansville, Ind., son of Edna "Jewby" (Mills) Lyon, who survives and resides in Washington, and the late Richard Henry Lyon.
Mr. Lyon was a graduate of St. Francis Borgia High School, where he was a member of the first football team. He was a photographer for the United States Army from 1967 to 1970. He was stationed in Germany. Spencer graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a BS in secondary art. He was also graduated from Lindenwood University with an MFA in photography. He was an art and photography teacher for nearly 20 years at Clearwater High School in Piedmont. He was also the girls softball coach, cheerleading and pep club sponsor. He retired from teaching to open his own photography studio, which he operated until his illness forced him to retire. He loved football, especially the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and enjoyed auto racing, especially Formula One and Grand Prix. He was an avid supporter of Clearwater basketball, baseball and volleyball. He enjoyed reading mysteries and biographies. He began an arts and entertainment tabloid in Cape Girardeau in the early 70s, called the
"River City Review." He loved writing articles and critical reviews about entertainment and photography. He had his own photography and articles published in nearly all major photography magazines.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Brown Dec. 8, 1983, in Poplar Bluff, and she survives, residing in Piedmont.
Mr. Lyon was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Parish in Piedmont.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one sister, Ann Broeker, Union; mother-in-law, Louise Brown, Poplar Bluff; one nephew, Clay Spencer (Maria) Broeker, Affton; great-niece, Kenlee Broeker, Affton; Spencer was a big brother to Jake Hime of Piedmont; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Ken Broeker.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 3 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Washington. Celebrant was Rev. James Byrnes. Burial was in St. Francis Borgia Cemetery, Washington.
Arrangements were under the direction of Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
Joe L. Huett
Joe Lee Huett, 83, formerly of Piedmont, died Dec. 30, 2005, at the Missouri Veterans' Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born March 1, 1922, in Whitewater, Cape Girardeau County, Mo., son of the late Joe Loyd and Willnie (Proffer) Huett.
He was united in marriage to Doris Maxine Bushe at Holloran General Hospital, Staten Island, N.Y., July 26, 1945. Joe and Doris met in Seattle, Wash. They lived in Ellington from 1946 to 1989, before they relocated to Piedmont.
Mr. Huett graduated from Ellington High School in June 1940 and enlisted in the U.S. Army Oct. 15, 1940. While serving in the armed forces, he was stationed at Fort Raymond, Alaska, Howard Air Force Base in Panama; Temple, Austin and Port Arthur, Texas; Heidelberg and Baumholder, Germany; Fort Leonard Wood; Fort Huachuca, Ariz.; and Camp Zama, Japan. He retired from the U.S. Army Aug. 31, 1964, with the rank of captain. He then worked for Ozark Lead Company in Reynolds County for 13 years and for the Division of Labor for 10 years before fully retiring in 1990.
Mr. Huett entered the nursing home in Piedmont after suffering a stroke in 1999 and later was admitted to the Missouri Veterans' Home in Cape Girardeau. Mrs. Huett resided in Piedmont until she preceded him in death in 2002.
He was very proud of his military service. At one time, his father, mother, brother and wife were all serving at the same time-J. Loyd served with the U.S. Navy; Winnie served with the U.S. Air Force; Frederick served with the U.S. Navy; and Doris was assigned to the U.S. Coast Guard and a SPAR.
Surviving are their four children, Sandra (Dwayne) Hackworth, Ellington, Charles (Shirley) Huett, DeSoto, Texas, Philip Huett, Poplar Bluff, Judy (Larry) Hughes, Scranton, Ark.; six grandchildren, Michael (Terri) Hackworth, Jennifer (Ben) Thompson, Julie (William) Johnston, Rachel (Alan) Sharp, Jonathan Hughes, Christopher Huett; five great-grandchildren, Madison Johnson, Evan and Trenton Johnston and Tyler and Gretchen Hackworth.
Graveside services were held Jan. 1 at Ellington City Cemetery with Pastor Marvin Richards officiating and music by Geraldine Raines.
Pallbearers were Ben Thompson, William Johnston, Jonathan Hughes, Michael Hackworth, Charles Huett and Philip Huett.
Arrangements were under the direction of McSpadden Funeral Home, Ellington.
Fern A. Haddock
Fern Adeline Haddock, 81, died Dec. 27, 2005, in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born Sept. 25, 1924, in Lowndes, Mo., daughter of the late Sylvester and Eunice (Mullins) Thurston.
She was united in marriage to Samuel Haddock Nov. 22, 1942, in Lowndes, and he survives, residing in Puxico.
Mrs. Haddock taught school in Wayne County for many years and worked as a secretary at the Wayne County Courthouse in Greenville. She was a member of the Crossroads General Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Joe (Renee) Haddock, Lowndes, Theresa (Dale) Bunyard, Williamsville; three sisters, Hearthel Miler, Poplar Bluff, Jeanie Miler, Couer d'Alene, Idaho, Carolyn Shirrell, Zalma; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John Thurston, and one sister, Bettie Miler.
The funeral was held Dec. 30 at Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel, Greenville, with Rev. Earl Elfrink officiating.
Pallbearers were Bill Milster, Fred Miler, Billy Shirrell, David Melson, Dale Bunyard and Joe Haddock Jr. Burial was in Crossroads Church Cemetery.
Lanell A. Price
Lanell A. Price, 85, died Dec. 26, 2005, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont, Mo.
She was born Sept. 19, 1920, in Oklahoma City, Okla., daughter of the late Fred and Virgie (Miller) Proffitte.
Mrs. Price had worked as a machine operator for Century Electric Motor Factory. She attended Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Dennis James (Lori) Price, Piedmont; one brother, Fred (Lois) Proffitte, Clinton; one sister, Joyce (Leroy) Aldrich, Greenville; two grandsons, D.J. and Gerald Price; two dogs, Belle and Cocoa.
The funeral was held Dec. 29 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Tim Adams officiating and music by Missy Adams.
Pallbearers were Haskell Loucks, Nick Clifford, Tom Reich, Danny Gentles, Ronald Pickett, Gerald Price and D.J. Price. Honorary pallbearers were Danny Proffitte, Mike Proffitte and Jerry Clifford. Burial was in Yount Memorial Cemetery, Garwood.
Homer 'Peck' Hamilton
Homer R. "Peck" Hamilton, 72, of Des Arc died Dec. 25, 2005, at Advanced Health Care Medical Center in Ellington, Mo.
He was born May 20, 1933, in Minimum, Mo., son of the late Dallas and Nellie (Jones) Hamilton.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Goodman Jan. 10, 1953, and she survives, residing in Des Arc.
Mr. Hamilton was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had been a truck driver and attended the Nazarene Church in Annapolis.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Kevin (Lisa) Hamilton, Charles (Paula) Hamilton, Russell (Bonnie) Hamilton, all of Des Arc, Rockey (Susan) Hamilton, Manchester, Tenn.; one daughter, Sherry (Jim) Smith, Bismarck; two brothers, Charles (Judy) Hamilton, Festus, Drew (Donna) Hamilton, Annapolis; two sisters, Louise Toppins, Karen (Charles) Sutton, all of Annapolis; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Sylvia Propst.
The funeral was held Dec. 28 at Nazarene Church, Annapolis, with Rev. C.J. Casteel and Rev. Shirley Royer officiating. A poem was read by Brandy Hamilton and music was provided by Beverly Johnson.
Pallbearers were Jeremiah Hamilton, Derrick Smith, Joe Hamilton, Ryan Scaggs, Justin Hamilton and Chuck Toppins. Burial was in Meadows Cemetery, Annapolis. Graveside military honors were provided by the U.S. Army.

Wayne M. Worley
Wayne Mitchell Worley, 48, of Fenton died Dec. 21, 2005, in Millersville, Mo.
He was born April 12, 1957, in Red Bud, Ill., son of the late Claude and Marie (Hagen) Worley.
Mr. Worley was a truck driver for Penske Logistics.
He was married to Kitty Williams Nov. 14, 1987.
He is survived by one daughter, Jamie Worley, Miami, Fla.; three brothers, Gene Worley, Hecker, Ill., Kenneth Worley, St. Charles, James Worley, Minnith.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Leonard Worley, three sisters, Patricia Nora Lee Baker, Anna Mae Loness and Goldie Roth.
The memorial service was held Dec. 31 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rick Worley, speaker.
W. Taylor Montgomery
Winfred Taylor Montgomery, 89, died Jan. 15, 2006, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont, Mo.
He was born Nov. 25, 1916, in Patterson, Mo., son of the late Joseph and Julia (Daggett) Montgomery.
He was united in marriage to Bessie Evelyn Lutes June 4, 1938, and she preceded him in death June 7, 2005.
Mr. Montgomery had worked for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. He was a member of the Piedmont Nazarene Church.
He is survived by three sons, Charles (Joann) Montgomery, Piedmont, Johnny (Donna) Montgomery, St. Louis, Glendall (Nancy) Montgomery, O'Fallon; one daughter, Mary Ann Madding, O'Fallon; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Harry Junior Montgomery; five brothers, Silas, Arnold, Delbert, Marion and Otha Montgomery; three sisters, Carrie Ward, Jennie Lutes and Mary Shearrer.
The funeral was held Jan. 18 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Gary Rhodes and Rev. Kenneth Harper officiating. Music was provided by Alicia Mallody, Sean, Genice and Shaylin Montgomery.
Pallbearers were Tim, Rob, Terry, Michael and Stephen Montgomery and Greg Madding. Burial was in Montgomery Chapel Cemetery, Silva.
Eva Street
Eva Street, 93, died Jan. 22, 2006, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont, Mo.
She was born Feb. 26, 1912, in Des Arc, Mo., daughter of the late James and Annie (Gray) Chilton.
She was united in marriage to Ernest Street July 16, 1935, and he preceded her in death April 1968.
Mrs. Street was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one son, Linden Street, Buffalo, Kan.; one grandson, Jeff Holder; two nieces, Lola Baum, Lois (Stan) Bryar; one great-niece, Christine.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Essie Talley, Opal Clifford, Gusty White, four brothers, Courtney, Leslie, Marshal and Ira Chilton.
The funeral was held Jan. 25 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Mark McMullin officiating.
Pallbearers were Terry Kincaid, Mark McMullin, Doyle Middleton, Jim Ruegg, Melvin Dildine and Floyd Henson. Burial was in Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc.
Stella M. Braswell
Stella Marie Braswell, 83, formerly of Greenville, died Jan. 26, 2006, in St. Louis, Mo.
She was born Dec. 2, 1922, in Pascola, Mo., daughter of the late Porter and Mayme (Rettig) Eveland.
She was united in marriage to Warren C. Braswell Dec. 14, 1946, and he preceded her in death Oct. 20, 2003.
Mrs. Braswell had been a nurse for Missouri State Hospital, Deaconess Hospital and John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, and a store clerk at York Village. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two brothers, Samuel Eveland, Gary Eveland; one sister-in-law, Mary Eveland, all of St. Louis; nieces, Cindy, Traci, Nicole and Michelle; nephews, Brad, Gregg, Chris, Dan, J.D., Cotton, George, Joe and Warren; and many friends..
She was preceded in death by one sister, Frieda Eveland Parris.
The funeral was held Jan. 29 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Louie Robinson officiating.
Pallbearers were Brad Gregg, Chris and Gary Eveland, Jim Ruegg, Ron Street and Nick Helm. Burial was in Greenville Cemetery, Greenville.
Feix Fonzalez
Felix Gonzalez, 75, of Van Buren died Jan. 26, 2006, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. after a lengthy illness. His family was by his side.
He was born March 25, 1930, in Veta Grande, state of Zacatecas, Mexico, son of the late Francisco and Ysabela Gonzalez Lopez.
He was united in marriage April 3, 1957, to Helen Marie Keeney in Albany, Ky., and she survives.
Mr. Gonzalez served in the Mexican Army, then came to the United States in 1952. He worked on oil rigs with his uncle and arrived in Van Buren in 1954, where he was a self-employed water well driller for many years. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed hard work, spending time with his family, fishing and gigging and trips to his beloved farmland in Mexico. He was well known for his unique personality and sense of humor.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Greg (Julia) Gonzalez, Ricky Gonzalez, Tina (Stuart) Reed, all of Van Buren, Teresa (John) West, Springfield; three sisters; eight grandchildren, Cara, Clayton, Raquel, Tori and Zoie Gonzalez, Derek West, Kasey West and Luke Reed; one great-grandson, Cayden Baker; a host of other relatives of Zacatecas, Mexico, friends and family in both countries.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
A memorial service was held Jan. 29 at McSpadden Funeral Home, Van Buren. A private burial will take place in the Van Buren Cemetery at a later date.
