Mary M. Dunavant, 77, died Feb. 15, 2005, in St. Louis, Mo.
She was born March 15, 1927, in Greenville, Mo., daughter of the late Luther and Ona Twidwell.
She was united in marriage to Roy G. Dunavant and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Dunavant was raised in Patterson and lived in Piedmont before moving to St. Louis in 1968.
She is survived by five children, Mary Allen, Arnold, Johnny Wiederman, St. Louis, Robert (Lana) Woods, Imperial, Sue (Gary) Jackson, St. Louis, Ruth Hays, St. Paul; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Susan Jackson.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at Baumann Colonial Chapel in Overland.
Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in the Masonic Cemetery in Piedmont.
John M. Willard
John M. Willard, 69, formerly of Wayne County, died Feb. 13, 2005, at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Mo.
He was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Wayne County, Mo.
Mr. Willard graduated from Greenville High School in 1953.
He was a retired, self-employed businessman and the crew chief for his family's race team.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by two daughters, Pattie Willard, Kansas, Susan Adams, Grand Island, Neb.; seven sons, Lloyd Willard, Westphalia, Kan., John Willard Jr., Poplar Bluff, Joseph Willard, Osawatomie, Kan., Matthew Willard, Alan Willard, both of St. Joseph, Jeff Johnston, Greeley, Kan., David Johnston, Blue Mound, Kan.; four sisters, Dorothy Whittier, Geneva Kisner, both of Poplar Bluff, Mattie Skibinski, Linda Lombardo, both of Las Vegas; four brothers, William Willard, James Willard, both of Irondale, Larry Willard, Imperial, Gary Willard, Williamsville; 30 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Feb. 16 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, Poplar Bluff.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Butler County.
Sally E. Dement
Sally E. Dement, 103, died May 6, 2005, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Mo.
She was born Sept. 4, 1901, in Ellington, Mo., daughter of the late William and Minnie (Brewer) McMurry.
She was united in marriage to Elmer Dement Dec. 13, 1919, and he preceded her in death July 6, 1986.
Mrs. Dement was a homemaker and a member of the Evangel Baptist Church.
She is survived by five sons, Buell (Mae) Dement, Racine, Robert (Mary) Dement, Potosi, James (Pauline) Dement, Arnold, David (Shirley) Dement, Ironton, Darrell (Gloria) Dement, Ellington; one daughter, Alma McKittrick, Silva; daughter-in-law, Mary Dement, Lesterville; 36 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; 57 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Elmer Ralph Dement, three brothers, Carl, Tyman, and Edward McMurry, 10 sisters, Ann, Carrie, Margret, Nell, Myrtle, Goldie, Clara, Joyce, Ollie and Dorris, and one son-in-law, John McKittrick.
The funeral was held May 10 at New Hope General Baptist Church, Silva, with Rev. Dan Ross with the welcome and prayer; Rev. Mark Hunsberger delivering the message; Dr. Oman Dement giving the obituary; a special tribute by Rev. Donnie Dement and Rev. Richie Dement; and the graveside service conducted by Rev. Donnie Dement.
Music was by the congregation, Sandy Ross, Cindy McKittrick, Warren and Paula Dement, Gene Dement's family and Donnie Dement's family.
Pallbearers were Jerry McKittrick, Rick, Billy, Larry and Warren Dement, Michael Owen and Tim Hartman.
Burial was in Redford Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville.
Wanda B. Schuller
Wanda B. Schuller, 88, died May 2, 2005, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont, Mo.
She was born June 9, 1916, in Excelsior Springs, Mo., daughter of the late George and Mima (Poehlman) Bonnie.
She was united in marriage to George Schuller in 1945, and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Schuller was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Columbia, a past member of the AARP and Chamber of Commerce in Piedmont.
She had served as a board member of the Piedmont Public Library for several years and was past treasurer of the Thursday Study Club.
She had been employed as a secretary to the president of Stephens College in Columbia and retired in 1983 to be near her family.
She is survived by three sons, Bud (Lesa) Schuller, Gary (Susan) Schuller, Randy (Rae) Schuller, all of Piedmont; four grandchildren, Clarissa Schuller, Jacob (Sandi) Lutes, Magan (Tony) Smith, Whitney Schuller; three great-grandchildren, Andrew and Olivia Smith and Austin Lutes.
The funeral was held May 4 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Jack Ruble officiating and music by Glendell Twidwell and Jeanette Turnbough.
Pallbearers were Tony Smith, Jacob Lutes, Randy Schuller, Gary Schuller, Bud Schuller, Jon Kiser, Darren Garrison and Tab Chiasson.
Burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont.
Beulah E. Sipes
Beulah Elizabeth Sipes, 72, of Greenville, died May 5, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born in Marion County, Ala., daughter of the late Julius and Lillie (Fowler) Faucett.
She was united in marriage to Raymond Leon Dodd, and he preceded her in death in 1961.
She married James T. Snipes Aug. 19, 1989, and he preceded her in death Feb. 12, 2002.
Mrs. Snipes was a member of Jacktown General Baptist Church and had worked as a waitress.
She is survived by one son, Raymond (Shelby Jean) Dodd Jr., Fredericktown; four daughters, Betty (Dale) Campton, Rockford, Ill., Shelby (Jack) Finnegan, North Little Rock, Ark., Diane Dodd, Carterville, Ill., Kathy (Charlie) Speakman, Sparta, Ill.; one brother, Leon Faucett, Campbell; five sisters, Ethel Kemp, Fredericktown, Nellie May Lesieur, Colombia, Betty Sue Sisk, Texas, Bonnie Sue Frasier, Kentucky, Nettie Lou Crow, Doniphan; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Faucett, and one sister, Eulah Crow.
The funeral was held May 7 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Dennis Allen and Rev. Leslie Burchard officiating.
Music was provided by Jacktown Choir, Gary Reeves, pianist, John Stufflebean, guitarist, Sue Allen and Brenda Minks.
Pallbearers were Leon Tucker, Raymond Dodd III, Kevin Dodd, Samuel, Michael and John Clark, Steve Danner and Robert Boulton.
Honorary pallbearer was Paul Eads.
Burial was in Balch Cemetery, Zalma.
William Preston Atnip
William Preston Atnip, 68, died May 30, 2005, at home in Springfield, Mo.
He was born Nov. 18, 1936, in Patterson, Mo., son of the late Herbert William and Lamoriah (Shearrer) Atnip.
He was united in marriage to Helen Worley of Piedmont on June 19, 1955.
She survives and resides in Springfield.
Mr. Atnip became a Christian at the age of 12 at the Lodi Church of the Nazarene and served the Lord throughout his life.
He loved Southern Gospel music and played piano for the Ozark Harmony Boys.
He later sang with the Little Brushy Quartet.
He was a lifelong resident of the Piedmont area and was known to many through various church and community activities.
He served in various positions in the Piedmont First Church of the Nazarene, including Sunday School superintendent.
He also served on the Clearwater School Board in the 1970s.
He delivered pallets for Worley Log and Lumber Company for nearly 40 years until his retirement in 2001.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Brenda Roberts of Springhill, Fla., Bryan Atnip of Topeka, Kan., and Regina Dodson of Independence; one brother, Oresta Atnip of Piedmont; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Atnip.
The funeral was held June 2 at Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel, Piedmont, with Rev. Gary Rhodes leading with the opening prayer, Bryan Atnip sharing family remembrances, a poem read by Rev. Rebecca Atnip, Rev. Grant Foster delivered the message and the closing prayer was given by Dr. L.D. Holmes.
A solo was performed by Steve Reynolds and special gospel songs were sung by the quartet of Glendell Twidwell, Alvie Richmond, Tommy Knodell and Oresta Atnip, accompanied by Jeanette Turnbough.
Pallbearers were Russell Moss, Jim Miller, Alvie Richmond, Glendell Twidwell, Lamar Hill and Bob Worley.
Honorary pallbeaer was Will Wallace.
Burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Preston's name.
Vester Leonard 'Speck' Lewis
Vester Leonard "Speck" Lewis, 79, died May 29, 2005, at his home in Piedmont, Mo.
He was born Oct. 29, 1925, in Piedmont, son of the late Doris and Nora (Duncan) Lewis.
He was united in marriage to Minnie Mae Theobald June 14, 1947, in St. Louis, and she preceded him in death June 18, 1999.
Mr. Lewis had worked for Independent Tool and Die Company in St. Louis.
He was saved at an early age.
He is survived by five sons, Sparkie Ray Lewis, Piedmont, Jack Leonard Lewis, Lilbourn, Montie Lewis, Atoka, Tenn., Paul Edward Lewis, California, Ernest Scott Lewis, Silva; two daughters, Diane Lynn Lewis, Piedmont, Jerri Ann Lewis Quantz, Indianapolis, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Marie Lewis, three brothers, Vern "Bob" Lewis, Jimmy Lewis, Verl Lewis, and one sister, Verna Street.
A memorial service was held June 1 at Clearwater Lake, Piedmont, with Rev. Wayne Street officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Ruegg Funeral Home.
Rolley E. Gore
Rolley E. Gore, 71, died June 6, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was born Jan. 7, 1934, in the Dry Valley area of Reynolds County, son of Toney Gore, who survives and resides in Piedmont, and the late Velma (Fox) Gore.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel, Piedmont.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 9, in the chapel with burial at Mill Creek Cemetery.
Amy F. Bollinger
Amy Fred Bollinger, 96, died June 9, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was born Aug. 28, 1908, in Lake Creek, Wayne County, Mo., son of the late Henry and Lilly (Costner) Bollinger.
He was united in marriage to Reva Marie Gibbs Sept. 22, 1928, and she preceded him in death Oct. 29, 1999.
Mr. Bollinger had been an agriculture farmer.
He was a member of the Baptist Church in Greenville and was a mason for 50 years.
He is survived by one sister, Freda Masdon, Midland, Texas; one sister-in-law, Myra Barrow, Poplar Bluff; one brother-in-law, John Glenn, Poplar Bluff.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lora Tinnin and Mary B. Glenn.
The funeral was held June 13 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Gary Aubuchon officiating and music by the Community Choir and Daphne Hershey.
Pallbearers were Earl Baumgardner, Leroy Bennett, Lavern Daves, C.L. McLane, Jim Dunn and Paul Bridges.
Burial was in Greenville Cemetery.
Rolley E. Gore
Rolley E. Gore, 71, of Piedmont, died June 6, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Ceenter in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was born Jan 7, 1934, in the Dry Valley area of Reynolds County, son of Toney Gore, who survives and resides in Piedmont, and the late Velma (Fox) Gore.
He married Shirley LeChance and she preceded him in death.
He was united in marriage to Juanita Dane Sept. 15, 1958, and she preceded him in death April 15, 1994.
In addition to his father, Mr. Gore is survived by John Crisp, whom he raised as a son; two brothers, Leonard Gore, House Springs, Douglas Gore, Cedar Hill; one sister, Bessie Carter, Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Louise Gore.
The funeral was held June 9 at Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel, Piedmont.
Burial was in the Mill Creek Cemetery.
William H. Dixon
William H. Dixon Jr., 47, died June 8, 2005, at Marshall Voss Nursing Home in Farragut, Tenn.
He was born in October 1957, in Newark, N.J., son of the late William and Grace Dixon.
Mr. Dixon was a former employee of Sam & Andy's Restaurant in Farragut.
He is survived by one son, Sean Dixon, Knoxville, Tenn.; four sisters, Laura (Rick) Noles, Farragut, Cheryl (Doug) Enyart, Piedmont, Susan (John) Rickershauser, Morristown, N.J., Grace (Randy) Slater, Henderson, Nev.; one brother, Andrew Dixson, Knoxville, Tenn.; former wife, Diane Dixon, Knoxville, Tenn.; nieces and nephews, Kira, Erik and Keith Enyart, Emily, Julia, John, James and Paul Rickershauser and Daniel and Brian Noles.
A graveside service was held June 11 at Pleasant Forest Cemetery, Farragut, under the direction of Click Funeral Home.

Nellie Jo Quinton
Nellie Jo Quinton, 72, died June 8, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
She was born Aug. 8, 1932, in Piedmont, Mo., daughter of the late Ralph and Nellie (Webb) Harrison.
She was united in marriage to James "Sebert" Quinton Dec. 15, 1951, and he survives, residing in Piedmont.
Mrs. Quinton had worked for the Shirt Factory in Piedmont as a supervisor.
She professed her faith as a teenager and attended the Faith Christian Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Jim (Debi) Quinton, Piedmont; three sisters, Shirley Eads, Cuba, Wanda Winemiller, Piedmont, Linda Faye Clements, Olathe, Kansas; one grandson, Seth Quinton.
Graveside services were officiated by Rev. Jack Ruble June 10 at New Prospect Cemetery, Silva.
Pallbearers were Jim Quinton, Seth Quinton, Justin Mann, Gene Eaton, Tim Burkett and Wayne Dodson.
Arrangements were under the direction of Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont.
