George K. Susan
Neck City, Mo. - George K. Susan, age 67, of 212 North St. Louis, died at 8:04 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2001 at McCune Brooks Hospital in Carthage, Mo.
Mr. Susan was born June 5, 1933 in Fort Wayne, Ind. He retired from Dana Corp in Syracuse, Ind. He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of D.A.V., Goshen, Ind., and Eagles, Syracuse, Ind.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Susan and George Susan, both of Neck City, Mo.; two daughters, Tammy Kappler, Neck City, Mo., and Lenneeaa Gans, Leesburg, Ind.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a stepson, Tim Alumbaugh, Carthage, Mo.; four stepgrandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11 at Friends Cemetery in Purcell, Mo. Pastor Norm Duncan will officiate. Pallbearers will be Robert Susan, Walter Jones, Tim Alumbaugh, Colby Miller, Wayne Barlow, Tony Barlow and Robert Jones.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Simpson Funeral Home, Webb City.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Marvin G. Dalton
Marvin G. Dalton, age 73, of 1309 Grand, Lamar, Mo. passed away Friday, July 6, 2001 at 6:50 p.m. in the Carthage Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Sarcoxie, Mo. on September 5, 1927, he was the son of Orba and Ocie Dalton and lived in Lamar most of his lifetime. On June 28, 1945 he married Millie Per in Kansas. She preceded him in death on March 19, 1995. He was a Christian and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Lamar.
During his lifetime Mr. Dalton was employed as a state trooper, Chief of Police in Lamar and Security Manager of Jones Store.
Survivors include a son, James Dalton of Blue Springs; two daughters, Nancy Taylor and Linda Hasson, both of Lamar; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2001 in Memory Gardens, Lamar, with Rev. Lonnie Pennell officiating. Pallbearers will be Boom Hasson, Nathan Hasson, Nick Dalton, Ryan Dalton, Blaine Dalton, Jim Hasson, Jess Taylor.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lohmeyer-Konantz Funeral Home of Lamar.

It's been a year, but it still seems like yesterday since our beautiful and caring Frances went to be with our Lord after a long courageous battle with cancer.
We all love and miss her so much. She touched so many lives through her career and her unwavering attitude, during this battle.
She will always be loved and remembered by those who knew her. She never complained.
She organized a cancer support group in Baxter Springs and that group is still carrying on in her memory.

James Michael Wilson
James Michael Wilson, age 40, of 413 S. Oak, Purcell, Mo., passed away Saturday, April 21, 2001 at 2:00 a.m. at his home, following a sudden illness.
A lifetime resident, Mr. Wilson was born April 19, 1961 in Whittier, Calif., to James L. and Opal B. Wilson. In 1978 he graduated from Webb City High School and recently worked as a supervisor for Carthage Underground.
He married Kelly A. (Simmons) Wilson, whom survives of the home.
Additional survivors include two sons, Jerad Wilson, Webb City, and Chad Wilson, Anchorage, Alaska.; his father and mother James L. and Opal B. Wilson, Purcell, Mo.; his birth mother, Margaret Kafka, Grove, Okla.; one brother, Louis W. Meador, Carl Junction, Mo.; one sister, Debra Collins, Dallas, Texas; and a grandson, Bryce Clayton Wilson.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2001 at Simpson Funeral Home, Webb City. Pastor Tony Martin will be officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Carthage. The family will receive friends and family from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Harvey Wilburn McDonald
NEOSHO, Mo. - Harvey Wilburn McDonald, 67, 1046 Bond St., died at 2:43 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2002, at his home following a long illness.
He was born Sept. 4, 1934, at Marshall, Mo. His parents were Audie and Martha (Tash) McDonald. He was a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
He pastored 23 years at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Kansas City, Kan., retiring in 1996. For several years, he was the Presbyter for the Kansas City Section 1. He started the overhand fast pitch softball league in Kansas City. His favorite pastime was fishing.
Harvey had married Shirley Arlene Adams on Jan. 31, 1953, in Baxter Springs, Kan. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Dan McDonald of Kansas City, Kan., and Randy McDonald of Olathe, Kan.; two daughters, Debbie Baker of Kansas City, Kan., and Jeannie Robinson of Neosho, Mo.; his mother, Martha McDonald of Lowell, Kan.; two brothers, Harlan McDonald of Long Beach, Miss. and Neal McDonald of Baxter Springs, Kan.; five sisters, Millie West of Joplin, Mo., Deanie Meyers of Grove, Okla., Jeane Harsch of Baxter Springs, Kan., Shirley Cox of Joplin, Mo. and Neville Stubblefield of Joplin, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, Brad Baker, Greg Baker, Heather Stafford, Jonathan McDonald, Kasey Robinson, Chad Robinson, Kaysha Robinson, Caylin Robinson, Jordan McDonald and McKinzie McDonald.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26, 2002, at the Spring River Assembly of God, Riverton, Kan. Pastor Dan McDonald will officiate. Burial will be in Lowell Cemetery, Lowell, Kan.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Elmer A. Johnson
Elmer A. Johnson, 87 of Webb City, Mo. passed away Feb. 17, 2003 at Spring River Christian Village in Joplin, Mo.
Mr. Johnson was born April 17, 1915 in Mammoth Springs, Ark. Elmer was a member of the First Baptist Church of Webb City, Mo. Mr. Johnson owned and operated the Johnson Paint and Farm Supply of Webb City from 1949 to 1989.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Finley Herrod Johnson of Webb City, Mo.; a son, Don Johnson of Carl Junction, Mo.; and a daughter, Karen Hutchings of Joplin, Mo. Also surviving are a brother, Roy Johnson of Bella Vista, Ark.; two sisters, Elnora Canady of Lake Havesu, Ariz., and Shirley Gray of New Berlin, Wis.; five grandchildren, Bill Hare, J.D. Hare, Mitchell Hutching, Derek Johnson and Gretchen Long; and six great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Jeanetta Johnson, preceded Mr. Johnson in death on June 30, 1990.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003 at the Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Rev. John Sherwood and Rev. Ron Woody will officiate. Burial will be in the Osborne Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Don Johnson, Derek Johnson, Bill Hare, J.D. Hare, Mitchell Hutching and Steve Hare.
Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
David W. Patterson, DDS
David Williams Patterson, DDS, 47, died Friday evening, August 24, 2001. Dr. Patterson was born October 4, 1953 in El Paso, Texas. He was a lifelong Joplin resident. He was a graduate of McAuley Regional High School and Missouri Southern State College. He received his dental degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City and his graduate degree from the School of Endodontics at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He started his practice in Joplin in 1979.
He was a member of the American Dental Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the American Association for Endodontists, Air Force Academy Association of Parents and the Alumni of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
He married Theresa Perrin on December 2, 1972 in Joplin. She survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Heather Patterson Knapp and her husband, Brian of Seattle, Wash.; a son, Gregory Williams Patterson of United States Air Force Academy, Colo. and his fiancee Tara Smith; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Donald R. Patterson of Joplin; six brothers, Keith Patterson of Kansas City, Mo., Mark Patterson of Roanoke, Va., John Patterson of Pierce City, Mo., Matthew Patterson of Ft. Smith, Ark., Andrew Patterson of Kansas City and Michael Patterson of New London, Conn.; two sisters, Anne Bickett of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Genevieve Montgomery of Golden City, Colo.; and a grandson, Matthew David Smith.
Dr. Patterson has been cremated. Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church. Rev. Steve Breon and James A. Dryden, DDS will officiate.
Contributions may be made to the Association of Graduates of USAF Academy, the MSSC Department of Biology or the Ronald McDonald House, all in care of the mortuary.
