Tuesday, May 2, 2000. He was born August 25, 1940 in
Joplin, Mo. to Herbert Porter and
Goldie Beatrice (Poole) Massey.
He grew up in the Joplin area and attended schools
there.

he had been a patient several days.
His family and caregivers were at his bedside
in love, devotion and respect.

Grove General Hospital, Grove, Okla., after a
four-month illness.

Dorah Edna Burke Hinton, age 82, Joplin, passed
away at 11:51 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2000 at the
home of her sister and brother-in-law after a
courageous battle against Leukemia. She was
affectionately referred to as "9 lives" Dorah by
the nursing staff on 4E at St. John's Regional
Medical Center.
