Joy D. Ruble
Joy Dean Ruble, 73, died Jan. 22, 2005, at St. Anthony's Medical Center, St. Louis, Mo.
She was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Charleston, Mo., daughter of the late Paul and Nadine (Walton) Berry.
She was united in marriage to Lowell N. Ruble and to this union one son was born and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nephews, nieces and cousins.
She was a member of Gethesmine Lutheran Church, St. Louis.
The funeral was held Jan. 26, 2005 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Mark McMullin officiating with burial in the Sutton Cemetery, Vulcan, Mo.
Pallbearers were Leland Ruble, Joe Bollinger, Louie Dean, Dale Ruble, Steve Penn, and Gary Lewis.

Betty Jo Hixson
Betty Jo Hixson, 71, died Jan. 29, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Poplar Bluff, Mo.
She was born July 30, 1933, in Cedar Bay Leeper, Mo., daughter of the late Frank D. and Ida Ethel (Foster) Mann.
She was united in marriage to James M. Bates June 10, 1954 and he preceded her in death.
She married Clyde Hixson May 30, 1982 and he survives, residing in Piedmont.
She is survived by one daughter, Justina 'Tina' M. Allen and her husband Greg of Piedmont, one step-daughter, Sandy Benton of Fenton, four brothers, three sisters, and several grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
The funeral was held Jan. 31 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Gary Haynes officiating with burial in the Clay Cemetery, Piedmont.
Pallbearers were James Jones, Bill Davis, Ralph Lawson, Roy Duboise, Russell Wilson, and Houston Jones.

Eva Jane Wallace
Eva Jane Wallace, 87, died Jan. 27, 2005 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Poplar Bluff, Mo.
She was born Sept. 21, 1917, in Leeper, Mo., daughter of the late William and Eula May (Clyburn) Johnson.
She was united in marriage to Herman O. Wallace Aug. 31, 1933.
He preceded her in deth on Sept. 3, 1982.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Wallace and Stan Wallace both of Crestwood, Kent., five daughters, Phyllis Mollet, Jerry Montgomery, Nadine Brown, Karen Eaton all of Piedmont, Gail Brown of Ava, Ill. one sister, Aileen McMullin of Piedmont, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by two brothers, Henry Lee and Edgar Johnson, one granddaughter and one grandson.
She was a member of Shady Nook Missionary Baptist Church and she had worked for Brown Shoe Company of Piedmont as a caser.
The funeral was held Jan. 30, 2005 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. John Radford officiating.
Music was by Janeice Montgomery. Burial was in the Alwood Cemetery, Piedmont.
Pallbearers were Eli Twidwell, Andy Horvath, Jim Evans, Jim Gooch, Doug Porkorny, Mike Miller, Ed Knox, and Dennis Barrett.

Sarah A. Deering
Sarah Anne Deering, 64, died Jan. 25, 2005, at her home in Greenville, with her family by her side.
She was born Feb. 11, 1940, in Hot Springs, Ark.
She was a coook for the Greenville School and a member of the Kime General Baptist Church.
She was united in marriage to George Deering Feb. 28, 1959 and he survives.
She is survived by four sons, denny F. Deering, Greenville, Dan e. Deering, Maryville, Tenn., Darren g. Deering, Phoeniz, Ariz,. and Darrell L. Deering, Greenville, and one brother, Harold Robison, Lebanon and a daughter-in-law Sandy Deering, seven grandchildren, Dakota, Colby, Danica, Destin, Travis, Nicholas, Heather, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Baker and one brother, Carl Robinson.
The funeral was held Jan. 27, 2005 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Louie Robinson officiating with burial in the Greenville Cemetery, Greenville.
Pallbearers were her sons, Denny, Dan, Darrell, and Darren Deering, and grandsons, Travis and Nicholas Deering.

Sally E. Dement
Sally E. Dement, 103, died May 6, 2005, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Mo.
She was born Sept. 4, 1901, in Ellington, Mo., daughter of the late William and Minnie (Brewer) McMurry.
She was united in marriage to Elmer Dement Dec. 13, 1919, and he preceded her in death July 6, 1986.
Mrs. Dement was a homemaker and a member of the Evangel Baptist Church.
She is survived by five sons, Buell (Mae) Dement, Racine, Robert (Mary) Dement, Potosi, James (Pauline) Dement, Arnold, David (Shirley) Dement, Ironton, Darrell (Gloria) Dement, Ellington; one daughter, Alma McKittrick, Silva; daughter-in-law, Mary Dement, Lesterville; 36 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; 57 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Elmer Ralph Dement, three brothers, Carl, Tyman, and Edward McMurry, 10 sisters, Ann, Carrie, Margret, Nell, Myrtle, Goldie, Clara, Joyce, Ollie and Dorris, and one son-in-law, John McKittrick.
The funeral was held May 10 at New Hope General Baptist Church, Silva, with Rev. Dan Ross with the welcome and prayer; Rev. Mark Hunsberger delivering the message; Dr. Oman Dement giving the obituary; a special tribute by Rev. Donnie Dement and Rev. Richie Dement; and the graveside service conducted by Rev. Donnie Dement.
Music was by the congregation, Sandy Ross, Cindy McKittrick, Warren and Paula Dement, Gene Dement's family and Donnie Dement's family.
Pallbearers were Jerry McKittrick, Rick, Billy, Larry and Warren Dement, Michael Owen and Tim Hartman.
Burial was in Redford Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville.

Wanda B. Schuller
Wanda B. Schuller, 88, died May 2, 2005, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont, Mo.
She was born June 9, 1916, in Excelsior Springs, Mo., daughter of the late George and Mima (Poehlman) Bonnie.
She was united in marriage to George Schuller in 1945, and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Schuller was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Columbia, a past member of the AARP and Chamber of Commerce in Piedmont.
She had served as a board member of the Piedmont Public Library for several years and was past treasurer of the Thursday Study Club.
She had been employed as a secretary to the president of Stephens College in Columbia and retired in 1983 to be near her family.
She is survived by three sons, Bud (Lesa) Schuller, Gary (Susan) Schuller, Randy (Rae) Schuller, all of Piedmont; four grandchildren, Clarissa Schuller, Jacob (Sandi) Lutes, Magan (Tony) Smith, Whitney Schuller; three great-grandchildren, Andrew and Olivia Smith and Austin Lutes.
The funeral was held May 4 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Jack Ruble officiating and music by Glendell Twidwell and Jeanette Turnbough.
Pallbearers were Tony Smith, Jacob Lutes, Randy Schuller, Gary Schuller, Bud Schuller, Jon Kiser, Darren Garrison and Tab Chiasson.
Burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont.

Beulah E. Sipes
Beulah Elizabeth Sipes, 72, of Greenville, died May 5, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born in Marion County, Ala., daughter of the late Julius and Lillie (Fowler) Faucett.
She was united in marriage to Raymond Leon Dodd, and he preceded her in death in 1961.
She married James T. Snipes Aug. 19, 1989, and he preceded her in death Feb. 12, 2002.
Mrs. Snipes was a member of Jacktown General Baptist Church and had worked as a waitress.
She is survived by one son, Raymond (Shelby Jean) Dodd Jr., Fredericktown; four daughters, Betty (Dale) Campton, Rockford, Ill., Shelby (Jack) Finnegan, North Little Rock, Ark., Diane Dodd, Carterville, Ill., Kathy (Charlie) Speakman, Sparta, Ill.; one brother, Leon Faucett, Campbell; five sisters, Ethel Kemp, Fredericktown, Nellie May Lesieur, Colombia, Betty Sue Sisk, Texas, Bonnie Sue Frasier, Kentucky, Nettie Lou Crow, Doniphan; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Faucett, and one sister, Eulah Crow.
The funeral was held May 7 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Dennis Allen and Rev. Leslie Burchard officiating.
Music was provided by Jacktown Choir, Gary Reeves, pianist, John Stufflebean, guitarist, Sue Allen and Brenda Minks.
Pallbearers were Leon Tucker, Raymond Dodd III, Kevin Dodd, Samuel, Michael and John Clark, Steve Danner and Robert Boulton.
Honorary pallbearer was Paul Eads. Burial was in Balch Cemetery, Zalma.
