Mary Wilhelm
GOLDEN CITY, Mo. - Mary Wilhelm, 93, Golden City, died at 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, at a nursing home in Lockwood after a short illness.
Mrs. Wilhelm was born June 23, 1903, in Dade County. She was a retired teacher. She had taught in various country schools in the Lockwood and Golden City areas. She retired from the Miller R-2 school district in Lawrence County in 1969.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Golden City, Christian Women's Fellowship, and Retired Teachers Association.
She married Fritz Wilhelm on Feb. 27, 1942. He died March 26, 1968.
There are no immediate survivors.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Golden City. The Rev. Carl Shearer will officiate. Burial will be in Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery, Rogers, Ark.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Alma Wooten
AURORA, Mo. - Alma Godfrey Wooten, 81, Aurora, died at 6 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, at her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Wooten was born Oct. 22, 1915, at Parsons, Kan. She was a long-time resident of Aurora. She formerly lived in Pierce City. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, Aurora.
She married C.T. Wooten in 1938. He died in 1963.
Survivors include two daughters, Sally Keating, Sedalia, and Betsy Wooten Gray, San Carlos, Calif.; two sons, C. Tal Wooten, Springfield, and William Wooten, Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Evan Godfrey, Joplin; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Aurora. The Rev. Harold Gold will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora.

Nicholas Ybarra
DIAMOND, Mo. - Nicolas Ybarra, 68, Diamond, died at 6:59 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 1997, at Freeman Hospital West, Joplin, after a short illness.
Mr. Ybarra was born Nov. 28, 1928, at Mercedes, Texas. He moved to the Diamond area in 1973. He was a truck driver for Tri-State Motor Transit, Joplin. He retired in 1994. He was a Catholic.
He married Georgina Green on July 22, 1971, at Flint, Mich. She survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Gregory Ybarra, Flint, and Nicholas Ybarra Jr., Diamond; four daughters, Mary Woodard, Flint, Audrey Chambers and Linda Ybarra, both of Suttons Bay, Mich., and Maria Cruz, Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; five brothers, Guillermo Ybarra, Tony Ybarra, Edward Ybarra and Catriano Ybarra Jr., all of Pontiac, Mich., and Juan Ybarra, Lizburg, Fla.; two sisters, Lucinda Ybarra, Pontiac, and Carol Garcia, Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Joplin.
The body will be cremated after the services.
A prayer service will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Mason-Woodard Mortuary, Joplin.
Elverene Dale
Private graveside services for Elverene Chitwood Dale, 99, Joplin, who died Friday, will be Wednesday at Mount Hope Cemetery, Webb City.
The Rev. J.K. Wright will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Parker Mortuary, Joplin.

Gene Hatfield
Elvan Eugene "Gene" Hatfield, 67, Joplin, died at 4:40 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, after a short illness.
Mr. Hatfield was born April 10, 1929, at Globe, Ariz. He was a longtime area resident. He moved to Joplin from Noel in 1951. He had owned and operated an asphalt company in Webb City for several years.
He received the Webb City Mayor's Certificate of Appreciation twice for his work with youth softball and baseball leagues. He was a member of the Streetcar Committee in King Jack Park, and had been active in organizing the Miners Day Celebration.
He married Shirley Toutz on Oct. 16, 1955, in Carthage. She survives.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Hatfield and Carl Hatfield, both of Joplin; two daughters, Kimberly Libby, Neosho, and Robin Campbell, Joplin; his mother, Martha Hatfield, Noel; three brothers, Edward Hatfield, Noel, Jim Hatfield, Neosho, and Jack Hatfield, Anderson; three sisters, Doris Williams, Southwest City, Darlene Mitchell, Noel, and Pat Hutchens, Anderson; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Parker Mortuary, Joplin. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Webb City.
Pallbearers will be Richard Hatfield, George Campbell, Edward Hatfield, Jim Hatfield, Jack Hatfield, Jeff Bedsaul and Junior Clifton.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, in care of the mortuary.
Harold Jones
Services for Harold H. Jones, 84, 2414 Kansas Ave., who died Friday, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's Funeral Service, Des Moines, Iowa.
Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, Des Moines.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home in Des Moines.

Agnes Munson
Agnes Nadine Munson, 91, Joplin, died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, at University Medical Center, Columbia, after a short illness.
Mrs. Munson was born April 1, 1905, at Webb City. She moved to Joplin in 1922. She had been an English teacher at Webb City Junior High, retiring in 1970. She was a member of South Joplin Christian Church, the National Retired Teachers Association and the American Association of Retired Persons.
She married Harry A. Munson on Sept. 26, 1946, at Columbus, Kan. He died June 19, 1975.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Wrench, Dell; a granddaughter; four stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Hope Cemetery, Webb City. The Rev. Ron Wade will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
