Zola Fletcher
CASSVILLE, Mo. - Zola Elizabeth Fletcher, 82, Cassville, died at 3:25 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, at a local nursing home after a long illness.
Mrs. Fletcher was born Aug. 18, 1914, at Washburn. She moved in 1960 to Eagle Rock, where she and her husband owned and operated Fletcher's Restaurant and Motel. In 1970, they sold the business and moved to Cassville, where she was a member of the Mill Street Church of Christ.
She married Howard Taft Fletcher on Jan. 2, 1930, at Cassville. He died April 22, 1989.
Survivors include three sons, J.D. Fletcher, Eagle Rock, Gerald D. Fletcher, Cassville, and James J. Fletcher, Louisville, Ky.; a half brother, Oscar Vanzandt, Washburn; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Williamson Funeral Home, Cassville. Wayne Deffenbaugh, minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill
Cemetery at Cassville. Pallbearers will be Ronald Dale Cline, Bryan Dean Fletcher, Jeffrey David Fletcher, Terry Glenn Fletcher, Billy Ray Vanzandt and Carroll Gene Vanzandt.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
William Forbragd
CASSVILLE, Mo. - William L. Forbragd, 79, Cassville, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, at South Barry County Hospital after suffering a heart attack.
Mr. Forbragd was born Nov. 12, 1917, in the state of Montana. He had lived in Pineville, where he managed The General Merchandise Store. He moved in the 1970s to Cassville. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a salesman for Central States Health and Life Co., Omaha, Neb. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and American Legion Post No. 118, both of Cassville.
He married Nancy Ellen Henson in 1942. She preceded him in death.
He married Margaret McDaniel on Sept. 6, 1971. She died Dec. 5, 1990.
He married Lora Ryan on July 15, 1991, at Miami. She survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Sandra Letterman, Joplin; a stepdaughter, Betty England, Neosho; a stepson, Robert Atkinson, Neosho; two grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three great-step-grandchildren.
The body will be cremated.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. The Rev. John Duncan will officiate.
Contributions may be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church, Cassville.
Marjorie Jones
STOTTS CITY, Mo. - Marjorie Dorothy Jones, 82, 103 Porter St., died at 8:25 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, after a short illness.
Mrs. Jones was born Oct. 10, 1914, at Red Oak, east of Carthage. She was a homemaker and a lifelong Carthage area resident. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene at Carthage.
She married Earl Jones on June 25, 1930, at Carthage. He died in 1954.
Survivors include a son, Denny Jones, Carthage; four daughters, Stirlene Howell, Stotts City, Earlene Shaw, Avilla, June Carney, Granby, and Sharon Myers, Jasper; a brother, Eugene Carnes, Carthage; two sisters, Nancy Clark, Carthage, and Marie Greer, state of California; 30 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Avilla Cemetery, north of Avilla. The Rev. Kenneth Carney will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Weng Funeral Chapel at Jasper.
Hope Kennon
LOCKWOOD, Mo. - Hope Renee LaFon Kennon, infant daughter of Johnny Ray Kennon and Kimberly Lynn LaFon, both of Lockwood, died shortly after birth at 4:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.
She was born at 3:37 p.m. Friday at Springfield.
Additional survivors include maternal grandparents, Kathy Jean and Jess Loyd LaFon, Lockwood; maternal great-grandmother, Katherine Imogene McManis, Lockwood; paternal grandparents, Janice Irene and Mark Steven Sutton, Greenfield; paternal grandfather, Paul Edward Kennon, Lamar; and paternal great-grandparents, Jeanette and Walter Ray McGhee, Greenfield.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Liberty Cemetery, east of Greenfield. The Rev. Jack Martin will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Lockwood Funeral Chapel.

Katherine Khrishanda
DIAMOND, Mo. - Katherine Khrishanda, 71, 20530 Aspen Road, died at 12:25 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, at her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Khrishanda was born May 12, 1925, at Ranchvale, N.M. She moved several years ago to the Diamond area from New Mexico. She was a cosmetologist.
Survivors include three sons, Billy Bob Cumpton, Diamond, Tommy Cumpton, Clovis, N.M., and Greg Hinds, Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters, Lisa Moore, Diamond, and Faye Cumpton, Rochester, N.Y.; two brothers, Elmer Jones and Elsie Jones, both of Clovis; three sisters, Louise Nichels, Diamond, Gladys Binning, Joplin, and Mabel Mitchell, Denver, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Jones Family Cemetery, northeast of Diamond. Owen Benion, minister, will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
Wanda Marshall
MONETT, Mo. - Wanda M. Marshall, 73, Monett, died at 8 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997, at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield after a brief illness.
Mrs. Marshall was born on May 9, 1923, in Miami, Okla. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death be her husband, William Marshall, who died in 1970.
Survivors include three sons, Roy Marshall and David Marshall, both of Monett, and Lonnie Marshall, of the home; two daughters, Shirley Fry and Laverne Frazier, both of Monett; two sisters, Billie Bingham, Fairland, Okla., and Mildred Colter, Tacoma, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Lakin Funeral Home, Pierce City. Burial will be in the Monett IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call after noon on Monday at the funeral home.
Alvin Michael
GOODMAN, Mo. - Alvin M. "Dock" Michael, 79, Sebeka, Minn., a former Goodman resident, died at 5:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997, at his home after a short illness.
Mr. Michael was born Jan. 16, 1918, in Goodman. He moved to the state of Minnesota from Goodman in 1978. He had been a farmer and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He married Hazel Pauline Ledford in 1941. She died April 1, 1984.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Jones, Sebeka; six sisters, Jean Byers, St. Louis, Ruth Seger, the state of Kansas, Louise Williams, Neosho, La Dean Ledford, Tiff City, Vernie Ledford, Joplin, and Ruby Porton, Neosho; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. The Rev. David Keith will officiate. Burial will be in the Cummings Chapel Cemetery, Tiff City.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
