Fred Campbell
MONETT, Mo. - Fred Nicholas "Trigger" Campbell, 87, Liberty, formerly of Monett, died at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997, at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Campbell was born Oct. 31, 1909, at Monett. He was a lifelong resident of Monett, before moving to Liberty nine years ago. He had been a conductor for 30 years for Frisco Railroad. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Monett.
He married Lois Idella "Trixie" Binion on Jan. 1, 1937. She died Jan. 26, 1973.
Survivors include two daughters, Sue Ellen Kellerman, Roeland Park, Kan., and Jimmie Lee Campbell, Liberty; a sister, Camilla Lee Bell, Cedar Park, Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The body has been cremated.
Memorial services will be at Liberty this week.
Graveside services will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Monett, at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
Dale Hilton
AURORA, Mo. - Dale Lee Hilton, 91, Aurora, died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997, at a local nursing home after a long illness.
Mr. Hilton was born Nov. 14, 1905, at Crane. He was a lifelong Aurora area resident. He was a retired retail merchant and a farmer. He was a member of Aurora United Methodist Church.
He married Alice Stringer on April 1, 1934, at Las Animas, Colo. She died Sept. 9, 1982.
His wife, the former Norma Rowley, survives.
Also surviving are a son, Marvin Hilton, Fayetteville, Ark.; two daughters, Margaret Hall, Aurora, and Linda McLeod, Columbia; a sister, Maxine King, Purdy; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora. The Rev. Fred Young will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
James Johnson
GRANBY, Mo. - James D. Johnson, 78, Granby, died at 4:25 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 1997, at a local nursing home after a short illness.
Mr. Johnson was born March 27, 1918, at Neosho. He was a lifelong Granby area resident. He worked several years for the Frisco Railroad and a carpenter for James Davidson Contracting.
He married Nettie Draper on Aug. 12, 1938. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ralph E. Johnson and James Johnson Jr., both of Granby; six daughters, Wilma Shields, Joplin, Charlotte Orshall, Sharon Reed, Thelma Hawkins, Evelyn Ward, all of Granby, and Ruth Williams, Neosho; a brother, G. Leo Johnson, Granby; two sisters, Minnie Bell, Carthage, and Bessie Rogers, Mexico, Mo.; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Clark Funeral Home, Granby. John Culver and Eric White, ministers, will officiate. Burial will be in Granby Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Orshall, William Haneline, Lloyd Haneline, David Youngblood, Mike Hawkins and Joe Lawyer.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Leota Keene
WEBB CITY, Mo. - Leota Mae Keene, 87, Webb City, died at 2:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, after a long illness.
Mrs. Keene was born May 11, 1909, at Parsons, Kan. She had lived the last 14 years in the Joplin area, moving from Parsons. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Oronogo.
She married Freeman Keene in October 1940 at Columbus, Kan. He died in September 1969.
Survivors include a son, Donald Keene, Oronogo; a daughter, Norma Douglas, Carterville; a sister, Mary Kellogg, Cherokee, Kan.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stone Cemetery, east of Joplin. The Rev. Jerry Mayfield will officiate.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Parker Mortuary.
Lucille Kerrick
JASPER, Mo. - Lucille May Kerrick, 86, Raytown, formerly of Jasper, died at 2 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 1997, at Medical Center, Independence, after a long illness.
Mrs. Kerrick was born May 17, 1910, in Jasper County. She moved from Joplin to Jasper in 1962. She moved to Raytown in 1983. She worked for Hudson Oil, Molline, Ill. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
She married Raymond Kerrick on Dec, 25, 1929, in Jasper County. He died Feb. 5, 1996.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Bessenbacher, Independence; a sister, Dorothy Davis, Carthage; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Paradise Cemetery, south of Jasper.
Arrangements are under the direction of Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper.
Rosalie Peterson
NEVADA, Mo. - Rosalie Grace Peterson, 82, Nevada, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997, at a Nevada area nursing home after a long illness.
Mrs. Peterson was born Oct. 6, 1914, at Schell City. She was a homemaker. She moved to Nevada from Schell City in 1941. She moved to Rich Hill in 1946, but returned to Nevada in 1992. She was a member of Rich Hill Methodist Church.
She married Otto Marion Peterson on Aug. 26, 1934, at Schell City. He died Dec. 11, 1981.
A son also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Denzail Cunningham, Nevada; a brother, James Maus, Elk Grove, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Milster Funeral Home, Nevada. The Rev. Scott Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Newton Burial Park, Nevada.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. today to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Moore-Few Nursing Home activity fund, in care of the funeral home.
Milton Rouch
MONETT, Mo. - Milton C. "Windy" Rouch, 69, Monett, died at 4:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 1997, at St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, after a long illness.
Mr. Rouch was born Feb. 15, 1927, at Monett, where he was longtime resident. He was a retired wood carver and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Monett.
He married Betty Baird on Sept. 14, 1948, at Monett. She survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Doug Rouch, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and David Rouch, Monett; two daughters, Cindy Darnaby, Aracadia, Kan., and Carri Baird, Blue Springs; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Monett IOOF Cemetery. The Rev. Adcock Wayne will officiate.
Contributions may be made to the Loaves and Fishes fund, in care of the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
