Robert Wicks
Robert Stanley Wicks, 59, California, Mo., formerly of Joplin, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1996, at St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City, after an illness.
Mr. Wicks was born June 6, 1937, in Joplin. He was a 1955 graduate of Joplin High School. He was a retired conductor for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, California, Mo.
He married Jeanette Kesemann on Jan. 12, 1957, at Sedalia. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Jeff Wicks, California, Mo.; two daughters, Karla Strobel, California, Mo., and Sheri Draffen, Jefferson City; three brothers, James Wicks, Joplin, Gordon Wicks, Kincaid, Ill., and Pat Wicks, Neosho; three sisters, Margie Greninger, Ritchey, Anna "Ginger" Williams, Cleveland, Okla., and Patti Donica, Joplin; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, California, Mo., with the Rev. Peter Kurowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Contributions may be made to the church.

Mary Anderson
NEOSHO, Mo. - Mary Kay Homuth Anderson, 78, Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Neosho, died at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 1996, at her home after a sudden illness.
Mrs. Anderson was born Feb. 23, 1918, at Pierce City. She moved to Tulsa in 1955 from Neosho. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, Walter Anderson Jr., Belle Plain, Kan.; a sister, Margaret LaVrar, Neosho; and two grandchildren.
The body is to be cremated.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. The Rev. Phil McClendon will officiate.
Loy Boswell
AURORA, Mo. - Loy R. Boswell, 91, Aurora, died at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1996, at St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, after an illness.
Mr. Boswell was born Oct. 18, 1905, at Jenkins. He was a lifelong area resident and a retired retail merchant.
He married Geraldine Lassiter on May 20, 1928. She died May 26, 1994.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Boswell, Aurora; two daughters, Jo Burk, Marionville, and Joyce McClure, Aurora; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora. The Rev. Tommy Blair and the Rev. Lee Brownlee will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora.
Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Aurora.
Perna Henson
WENTWORTH, Mo. - Perna Frances Henson, 92, Wentworth, died at 8:18 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 1996, at her home after a sudden illness.
Mrs. Henson was born May 13, 1904, at Pierce City. She was a lifetime resident of the Pierce City and Wentworth areas. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church, near Pierce City.
She married Arthur Henson in 1928. He died July 6, 1975.
Survivors include three sons, Bob Henson, St. Charles, James Wesley Henson, Martin, Tenn., and Gene Henson, address unavailable; two daughters, Lois Jane Pizzoferrato, Rotunda, Fla., and Wanda Henson, Sausalito, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Monett IOOF Cemetery. The Rev. Charles D'Arcy will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
Terri Hoffman
WEBB CITY, Mo. - Teresa L. "Terri" Hoffman, 37, 1417 Eden Ave., died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1996, at Freeman Hospital West, Joplin, after a long illness.
Mrs. Hoffman was born Nov. 24, 1958, at El Paso, Texas. She moved to the Joplin area in 1971 from Charles City, Iowa. She had worked as a finance officer at Security Pacific, Dial Finance and Norwest Financial, and as a loan officer at Commerce Bank in Joplin. She recently was a branch manager forAmerican General Finance in Joplin.
She attended Christ Community United Methodist Church, Joplin. She was a member and board member of the Women's International Bowling Congress, and Loma Linda Golf and Country Club.
She married Ron Hoffman on June 6, 1986, in Joplin. He survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Misty Landers, Columbia, and Stacy Hoffman, Webb City; her father, Michael Marquardt, Friend, Neb.; her mother and stepfather, Marlos and Ken Lovett, Joplin; two sisters, Pamela Sharp, San Antonio, Texas, and Carrie England, Joplin; a half brother, Scott Marquardt, Friend; a half sister, Christy Marquardt, Lincoln, Neb.; two stepbrothers, Kenny Lovett and Keith Lovett, both of Brevard, N.C.; two stepsisters, Kathy Miller, Brevard, and Kristy Somerton, Virginia Beach, Va.; and paternal grandmother, Nadine Marquardt, Friend.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary, Joplin. Chris Sloan, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin.
Pallbearers will be Wes Brewer, Carl McConnell, Al Cade, John Richey, Sam Halama and Dennis Jones.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
The family will be at the home of her mother, Marlos Lovett, 2701 New Hampshire Ave., Joplin.

Clyde Mayfield
NEOSHO, Mo. - Clyde W. Mayfield, 76, 9523 Hammer Road, died at 8:16 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1996, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, after a sudden illness.
Mr. Mayfield was born April 13, 1920, at Wetumka, Okla. He moved to Neosho from the state of California in 1971. He worked in the finish room at La-Z-Boy Midwest in Neosho, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Silver Moon Full Gospel Church, Neosho.
He married Juanita Helvey on May 19, 1945, at Dallas, Texas. She survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Linda Butler, Tulsa, Okla., and Renee Gillett, Neosho; a brother, Frances Mayfield, Tulsa; a sister, Juanita Hoover, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Silver Moon Full Gospel Church, Neosho. The Rev. Fred Franks will officiate. Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Crane.
Pallbearers will be Mark Stuart, Kelvin Hall, Rick Helvey, Mark Akin, Bud Wilson and Perry Mason.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
Frances Pierce
WEBB CITY, Mo. - Services for Frances Pierce, 80, Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Webb City, who died Saturday, will be at 11 a.m. today at Simpson Funeral Home, Webb City.
The Rev. Bob Simon will officiate.
Burial will be in Carterville Cemetery.
