Shirley V. Jackson
Shirley Virginia Jackson, 84, died Aug. 18, 2005, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont, Mo.
She was born April 28, 1921, in East St. Louis, Ill., daughter of the late Albert and Clara (Fehse) Siefert.
She was united in marriage to George Edward Jackson Feb. 28, 1942, and he preceded her in death July 3, 1978.
Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker.
She attended the Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Georgia Elaine (Lonnie) Goehman, Des Arc; one grandson, Donnie Warren (Pam) Charlton Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Dakota Shay Charlton, all of Troy.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Siefert Jr., and one sister, Juanita Jung.
The funeral was held Aug. 20 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Clarence Casteel officiating.
Pallbearers were Skip Grove, Norman Jackson, Norman Jackson Jr., Darrell Beshears, Tony Waller and Jeff Eldridge.
Burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont.
Boyce Ray Cheatham
Marble Hill, MO
Boyce Ray Cheatham, age 61 of Marble Hill, MO, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the family home near Marble Hill.
He was born May 21, 1943, at Manila, AR, son of Willie W. and Vera Edna Sanders Cheatham.
He and Betty Barks were married Dec. 8, 1986.
He was a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church at Leopold and a retired over the road truck driver for Redman Trucking of Advance, Mo.
Survivors include his wife of Marble Hill, mother of Essex, MO, two step daughters; Julie Long, Marble Hill, Amy James, Zalma, MO, brother Ronnie Cheatham, Sikeston, MO, two half brothers; Calvin Arnold, Sikeston, Tommy Cheatham, Lindale, TX, two sisters; Theresha Harris, Bloomfield, MO, Shirley McIntire, Sikeston, five half sisters; Betty Jones, St. Louis, Anna Bell Simpson, Manila, Virginia Wright, Decatur, AL, Betty Grubbs, Essex, Jean Burkett, Lindale, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with the Fr. Bill Huggins officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. John’s Church Cemetery.
Della Mae Myers
Sedgewickville, MO
Della Mae Myers, age 68, of Sedgewickville, passed away Thursday April 21, 2005 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Girardeau, MO.
She was born March 12, 1937 at Painton, MO, daughter of Lloyd and Leona Marcus Armstrong.
She and Clarence A. Myers were married May 19, 1951 at Hernandez, MS.
She was a member of the Scopus United Methodist Church a former Nurse and Co-Owner of Kevcon Home Care at Sedgewickville.
Survivors include her husband, three sons; Danny Myers, Fairfield, CA, Arthur Myers, Palm Springs, CA, Scott Myers, Marquand, MO, two daughters; Patricia Ann Turner, Horseshoe Bend, AR, Tina Lynn Myers, Marble Hill, one brother Frank Armstrong, Poplar Bluff, MO, one sister Della M. Strop, Cape Girardeau, eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her parents, one brother, and two sisters.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4:30 to 7:30 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton and after 9:30 am at the Scopus United Methodist Church.
The funeral service will be at the church at 10:30 am with Rev. Anthony Stewart and James Hartman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Cook Cemetery at Scopus.
Dorothy Pauline Dickerson

Dorothy Pauline Dickerson, age 78 of Grassy, MO, died Friday, April 22, 2005 at the St. Francis Medical Center following an auto accident in Bollinger County.
She was born March 27, 1927 at Schlatitz, MO, daughter of Robert H. and Ada Nevels Collins.
She and Paul C. Dickerson were married April 24, 1950 and he died Dec. 15, 1992.
She married Roy Spenner Jan. 14, 2001 and he survives of Glen Allen.
She was a member of the Pentecostal faith and attended the Marble Hill United Methodist Church at Marble Hill.
Survivors include her husband, sons; Paul D. Dickerson, Granite City, IL, Clayton Dickerson, Grassy, MO, Mike Spenner, Nashville, IL, daughters Donna Young, Granite City, Debra Stanley, Grassy, Cindy Murphy, Taylor Springs, IL Cathy Cook, Virginia Beach, VA, one sister, Helen Cooper, Cahokia, IL, 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son Bruce Spenner, one daughter Carolin Julian, three brothers and one sister.

Glen Allen, MO
Harold Chronister, age 72 of Glen Allen, MO, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO.
He was born March 4, 1933 at Glen Allen, Son of Buford and Emma Jane Burns Cobb.
He served his country first in the Army and then in the Air force during the Korean conflict.
He retired as an office equipment repairman and was a member of the Glen Allen United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son James P. Hritz, a daughter Kathy Snyder both of St. Louis, one brother Jackie Cobb, Morris, IL, two sisters Jan Proffer, Marble Hill, Betty Kirkpatrick, Poplar Bluff, MO and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and stepfather Jack Cobb and one sister Rosemary Fox.

Pauline Beard, age 78 of Eolia, MO, and formerly of Marble Hill, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital West, St. Peters, MO.
She was born July 2, 1926 at Advance, MO daughter of Albert and Pearl Elledge Winchester.
She married Warren Karr Jan. 3, 1946 and he died March 11, 1972.
She married Darris K. Beard, Sept. 1, 1972 and he died Nov. 24, 1996.
She had operated Paula’s Beauty Shop for many years prior to retirement.
Survivors include a son Stanley Karr, Eolia, MO, Judy Barnoski, Manchester, MO, brothers; Ray Winchester, Mt. Morris, MI, Clyde Winchester, Jonesburg, MO, Bill Winchester, Washington, MO, Wayne Winchester, Wildwood, MO, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by parents, husbands and one sister.

Verna Mae Hanners
Marble Hill, MO
Verna Mae Hanners, age 74, of Burfordville, MO, died Sunday, April 10, 2005 at her residence.
She was born on April 18, 1930 in Millersville, MO daughter of Arvel and Mildred S. Hanners Cook.
She and Roy “Bud” Hanners were united in marriage on Sept. 27, 1947 in the Jackson, MO, courthouse.
Mrs. Hanners was a member of the Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church, a Sunday school Teacher, worked for the Jackson R 2 School District as a Cook, and for Sandy & Wayne’s Hutch for many years.
Survivors include; her husband, one son Dwayne and Sandra Hanners, Sedgewickville, three brothers, Raymond and Oda Cook both from Millersville, and Gary Cook, Burfordville.
Preceding her in death were her Parents, and one brother.
Visitation will be Monday, April 11, 2005 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmie Fulbright, Rev. Steve Sander and Rev. Mark Davis officiating.
Burial will be in the Cook Cemetery.
