Pete Campbell
NEOSHO, Mo. - Pete Campbell, 84, 1219 Circle Drive, died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997, at a Joplin nursing home after an illness.
Mr. Campbell was born March 30, 1912, at Rock Bluff, Neb. He moved to Neosho in 1976 from Omaha, Neb.
He had been a repairman of survey equipment for the Standard Blueprint Company at Omaha.
He also had been the county surveyor for Cass County, Neb., in the 1940s.
He was a member of Neosho United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Omaha.
He married Wilma Potts on June 27, 1937, at Papillion, Neb. She died July 13, 1946.
He married Lucille Robinson on Sept. 18, 1965, at Omaha. She survives.
Additional survivors include three sons, Warren Frank Campbell, Lakewood, Colo., Calvin Clair Campbell, Elk City, Neb., and Thomas Peter Campbell, Neosho; a brother, Herbert Clyde Campbell, Rochester, Minn.; a sister, Josephine Hostetter, Nebraska City, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Roby Funeral Home, Plattsmouth, Neb.
Burial will be in Lewiston (Neb.) Cemetery.
Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Woodard-Freund-Thompson Funeral Home, Neosho.
The Rev. John C. Harp will officiate.
Masonic services will be conducted by Neosho Masonic Lodge No. 247.
Donald Norris
NEVADA, Mo. - Donald E. Norris, 86, Nevada, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997, at Nevada Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
Mr. Norris was born Feb. 12, 1911, in Vernon County. He was a lifelong resident of Nevada and Vernon County. He attended Nevada schools.
He worked for Firestone Tire Co., Nevada; Dunlop, Pittsburg, Kan.; Montgomery Ward, Fort Scott, Kan.; and Missouri Pacific Railroad.
He worked for Continental Oil Co. as a bulk agent until he retired in 1975.
He was a former member of the Nevada Golf Association.
He married Veronicia Soward Norris on Oct. 17, 1937, at Bolivar. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Dustin Norris, Nevada; two daughters, Karen Phipps, Nevada, and Debby Rasnic, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Cliff Norris, Nevada; two sisters, Elsie Young and Norma Breen, both of Nevada; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Scott Hall officiating. The body has been cremated.
Contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church, Nevada.
Dean Randles
LAMAR, Mo. - Dean N. Randles, 64, Port Angeles, Wash., a former Barton County resident, died at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997, at the University Medical Center, Tuscon, Ariz., after a sudden illness.
Mr. Randles was born Jan. 15, 1933, in Stevens County, Kan.
He moved to the state of Washington eight years ago from Arizona.
He was a law enforcement officer for many years, working in Wichita, Kan., and Ontario, Calif.
He worked for the sheriff's department in Pinal County, Arizona, for 15 years. He retired in 1987.
He was a Southern Baptist and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion in Sequim, Wash.
He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War.
He married Barbara J. Klee on Nov. 9, 1985, at Flint, Mich. She survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Derek Randles, Los Angeles, and Don Randles, Puerto Rico; two stepsons, Richard Klee and Thomas Klee, both of Flint; two stepdaughters, Carol Carter and Susan Taubitz, both of Fenton, Mich.; five brothers, Robert Randles, address unavailable, Francis Randles, Seattle, Wash., Arthur Randles, Hubert, N.C., Leroy Randles, Pittsburg, Kan., and Gary Randles, Lamar; two sisters, Audrey Tooley, address unavailable, and Maxine Carrick, Hermiston, Ore.; two grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lamar. The Rev. Jackie Harris will officiate.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lohmeyer-Konantz Funeral Home, Lamar.
Graveside services will be conducted by Veterans of Foreigns Wars Post No. 3691, Lamar.
Lorene Sehnert
MOUNT VERNON, Mo. - Lorene Sehnert, 79, Mount Vernon, died at 11:44 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997, at the Missouri Rehabilitation Center after an illness.
Mrs. Sehnert was born Dec. 14, 1917, at Springfield.
She lived most of her life in Mount Vernon.
She was a Missouri Rehabilitation Center ward clerk, retiring in 1981.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mount Vernon.
Her husband, Sam Ireland, died in 1955.
Her husband, John H. Sehnert, died in 1980.
Survivors include a son, Sam Ireland, Reston, Va.; a stepson, John K. Sehnert, Sarcoxie; a stepdaughter, Janet Downing, Lewisville, Texas; a sister, Pauline Parten, Mount Vernon; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Ed Neimeyer will officiate. Private burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, Springfield.
Pallbearers will be Neal Underwood, Bob Woodson, Jerry Wood, Dana Spradling, J.C. Robb and Lee Kern.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, Mount Vernon.
Neva Twitty
CASSVILLE, Mo. - Neva Twitty, 76, Cassville, died at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997, at South Barry County Hospital, Cassville, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Twitty was born March 5, 1920 at Imperial, Neb. She moved to Cassville in 1955. She was a homemaker.
She married Boyd Jack Twitty on December 27, 1967, at Miami, Oklahoma. He died July 5, 1978.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Claney, Strafford, and Gary Claney, Springfield; a brother, Ralph Reynolds, Grant, Neb.; a sister, Wava Brown, Benton, Ark.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Williamson Funeral Home, Cassville.
The Rev. Don Beeson will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
Pallbearers will be Bob Baker, Bob Ennes, Dayne Lee, Jack Nash, Gary Schell, and Bill Shiveley.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Nellie Wilson
NEOSHO, Mo. - Nellie L. Wilson, 69, 1409 Hillcrest Terrace, died at 12:15 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 1997, at Freeman Neosho Hospital, Neosho, after an illness.
Mrs. Wilson was born Dec. 17, 1927, at Prairie Home.
She moved to Neosho in 1958 from Tulsa, Okla.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal church.
She married Walter Wilson on Dec. 21, 1950, at Tulsa. He survives.
Additional survivors include three sons, Walter Wilson Jr., Fullerton, Calif., Rick Wilson and Tom Wilson, both of Neosho; three daughters, Peggy Allen, Eufaula, Okla., Sandy Raulston and Terri Stuart, both of Neosho; two brothers, F.H. Deuel, Macomb, Ill., and James Roy Deuel, Bullhead, Ariz.; two sisters, Carol Bush, Billings, Mont., and Laura Bertha Altermatt, Kansas City; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery.
The Rev. Freddie Franks will officiate.
Arrangements are pending with Woodard-Freund-Thompson Funeral Home, Neosho.
Louis Baillargeon
Louis A. Baillargeon, 67, 2031 Pennsylvania Ave., died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 1997, at a Joplin nursing home after a short illness.
Mr. Baillargeon was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Canada. He moved from Dover, N.H., to Joplin in 1960.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include four daughters, whose names and addresses were unavailable.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Osborne Cemetery. VFW officers will conduct the service.
Services are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
