Maudie Eunice Black
Maudie Eunice Black, born Aug. 29, 1905, at Lindell in Maries County, Mo., passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Rolla Manor Care at the age of 95.
Maudie was the daughter of the late Elias and Cora Bishop.
She was united marriage to the late Elmer Black on Sept. 9, 1924.
She was converted in 1933 into the Pentecostal faith.
She faithfully served her Lord in the Assembly of God church in all her remaining years.
Maudie is survived by one sister, Lois Bowen, and one brother, Virgil (Pete) Bishop, both of Rolla.
Visitation for Maudie will be from 1 p.m.-the time of service at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 2000.
Interment following the service at Ozark Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Assembly of God; cards are available at and arrangements are under the direction of Null and Son Funeral Home, Rolla.

Eloda Fisher
Eloda Fisher, 89, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kordes Funeral Home in Rolla.

Donna K. Green
Donna K. Green, 44, of St. James, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at the Heritage Park Skilled Nursing Center in Rolla.
All arrangements are under the direction of Null and Son Funeral Home.

Albert Verlin Radford, 84, of Centerville, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000.

Homer L. Boxx, 74, Salem, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000.

Northern King, 67, of Crocker, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, in Columbia.

Wally Dearlove
Wally Dearlove, 65, of Swedeborg, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000.

Edna Mary Kuehn Hutchison
Edna Mary Kuehn Hutchison, 85, of Albaster, Ala., formerly of St. James, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2001.

John Thurston
John Thurston, 50, of Corpus Christi, Texas, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001.

Alma LaVerne Prater
Alma Laverne (Askew) (Estes) (Morris) Prater, 84, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at Rolla Presbyterian Manor.

Velma Eileen Vineyard
Velma Eileen Vineyard, 76, Dixon, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at her home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Long Funeral Home, Dixon.

Burtafay Johnson, 68, of Black, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000.
Arrangements are under the direction of James and Gahr Mortuary, Salem.

Clemmy P. Kinder
Clemmy P. Kinder, 92, Sullivan, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001.
Arrangements are under the direction of James and Gahr Mortuary, Rolla.

Albert K. Rollhaus
Albert K. Rollhaus, 99, St. James, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000.
Arrangements are under the direction of James and Gahr Mortuary, St. James.

Steven K. Shaffer
Steven K. Shaffer, 49, of Linn, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Susan A. Perry, of the home; one son, Steven K. Shaffer II, of Newburg; one daughter, Rebecca Whittaker, of Rolla; three step-children, Jennifer, Matthew and Megan Clark, of the home; two sisters, Martha C. Pogue, of Rolla, and Kathleen Williams, of Licking; a niece, several nephews, four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. today, Thursday, April 12, 2001, at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
Visitation will precede the service from 6-8 p.m.
The body was cremated.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, Columbia.

Virgie Ellen Day, 94, Salem, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001.
Arrangements are under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home, Salem.

Delmar F. Harris
Delmar F. Harris, of Edgar Springs, passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 76.

Lorena B. Coffman
Lorena B. Coffman, 86, Springfield, Mo., formerly of Rolla, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, in Springfield Rehabilitation Center at 1:15 a.m.

Annamae Penn
Annamae Penn, of Rolla, passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center at the age of 75 years.

Gladys Beam
Gladys Beam, 79, Bolivar, formerly of Dixon, died at 7:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at Citizens Memorial Hospital, Bolivar.

William Daggs Raine
William Daggs Raine died July 4, 2003 in Primrose Place Care Center, Springfield, MO.
He was born July 21, 1929 to Dr. Minor O. Raine and Anna Leila Daggs Raine at Kahoka, MO.
Bill graduated from Kahoka Schools and the University of Missouri-Columbia.
He received his law degree from Kansas University School of Law after being discharged from the USAF, Rank of Captain.
He joined the law firm of Shugert, Thompson and Kilroy, Kansas City, MO.
He later was employed at Commerce Bank, Kansas City, MO.
In 1972, he became a trust officer with the Boatmen's Bank of Springfield, MO.
After his retirement from Boatmen's, he was a trust officer with Commerce Bank of Springfield.
Bill played many games of golf at Twin Oaks Country Club.
After his retirement at Commerce Bank, he wintered in Palm Springs, CA, where he had many friends on the shuffleboard court as a player and a referee.
In his later years, he became a Mason and a Shriner in Springfield, MO.
He was preceded in death by a beloved daughter, Barbara Cooley; his parents; and special aunts, Thelma Daggs, Vivian Strong and Elisa Daggs.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Raine; six children, William Daggs Raine Jr. and wife Laticia "Rocky," their children, Kameron her husband Tony, their children, Andrew and Arieonna Graves, Kristen, Billy III and Linsday Raine, Robert David Raine, Terrence Lee Raine and his sons, Terry Jr., Joseph and Michael, and their mother, Vicki Phillips, Eric Albert Raine, his wife Alycia, and children Megan, Cody, Valerie, Patrick and Nick, a stepdaughter, Gretchen Evertsen and her husband Nicholas, and their sons, Forrester and Blake, one stepson, Richard Cochran and his wife Lorenda and son Alexander, and Sarah and Alysia; granddaughter April Raine Smith and her husband Gary and their children, Katerine, Erica and Derek; Barbara Raine's children, Joshua Cooley and Stephanie Cooley; his mother-in-law, Viva Lee Garner Stanley; his stepmother, Mary Lou Raine; half-brothers John Raine and family, and Tim Raine and family; and one first cousin, Darby Downey.
Memorial services will be held in Greenlawn Funeral Home South on Battlefield Road, at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2003, preceded by the visitation at noon until the time of service.
Interment of the ashes will follow in Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery with full military honors.

Vernon M. Lemmon
Vernon M. Lemmon died peacefully in his home Monday evening July 7, 2003 at the age of 81.
He was born north of Walnut Grove, Mo. on Nov. 21, 1921 to Roy M. and Alma Lemmon.
He was married to Geraldean Hayles of Athens, Texas on Aug. 25, 1950.
Vernon retired from the Frisco Railroad in 1980 with 40 years of service.
During World War II, he served as a medical corpsman in the U.S. Navy.
Surviving him are his wife, Jerri; his son and daughter-in-law, Curt and Susan Lemmon of Ozark; his grandson Matt and his wife, Nichole, of Springfield; three sisters and their husbands, Mary Mayes and Ellen Skouby of Springfield, and Marjorie Bradley of Jackson, Mo; and his sister-in-law and her husband, Jeane and Afton Willmon of Gun Barrell City, Texas.
A graveside service will be in the Shelter at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 10 a.m. Thursday, with burial to follow in the cemetery.
Rev. Rod Kelley will officiate.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to Children's Miracle Network, c/o Cox Health in Vernon's honor.

Theodore DeLaMatter
Theodore "Teddy" DeLaMatter, age 65, of Spokane, MO, died at 7:23 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2003 at a Springfield, MO hospital.
He was born July 27, 1937 in Zion, Illinois, to Truman Martin DeLaMatter and Anna May (Martin) DeLaMatter.
Mr. DeLaMatter served in the U.S. Army, 1957-1959.
He was a custodian for the Barrington School in Barrington, IL, retiring in 1989.
At the time of his death, he was a citizen of Silver Dollar City, MO.
He was a Baptist and member of the Moose Club of Woodstock, IL.
He and Janice Krueger were married September 24, 1961 in Illinois, and she survives.
Additional survivors include four children and their spouses, Tim DeLaMatter of Spokane, MO, Mark and Dawn DeLaMatter of Springfield, MO, Kim and Roger Bornhorst of Illinois, and Kris and Gary Dowdy of Illinois; one brother, Bill DeLaMatter of Anderson, MO; three sisters, Violet Fritz of Ava, MO, Cecil Pinkham of Ozark, MO, and Mary Olling of Breckenridge, MI; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Deanna Sarah.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10th, at Splitlog Baptist Church in Splitlog, MO.
Interment will follow in the Banner Cemetery.
Pastor Chadd Pendergraft will officiate.
Nicholas Kluth, Justin Dowdy, Christopher DeLaMatter, Roger Bornhorst and Gary Dowdy will serve as pallbearers.
Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today in Clark Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o the funeral home at P.O. Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
Services are under direction of Clark Funeral Home of Neosho.

Junior Bishop
Mr. Junior Bishop, age 73, of Eldridge, Mo, an owner/operator of a milk hauling business for 15 years, and a Missouri Department of Transportation employee for 25 years, retiring in 1990, died at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2003 in his home.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2003 in Thieme-Shadel-Hicks Funeral Service at Colonial Chapel, Lebanon, with burial in Hufft Cemetery.
Visitation is 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
