Euritha York
CARTHAGE, Mo. - Euritha Howrey York, 89, died at 12:10 a.m. Monday, March 10, 1997, at a Carthage nursing home after a long illness.
Mrs. York was born Oct. 27, 1907, in rural Jasper. She lived most of her life in Barton and Jasper counties. She was a homemaker and taught school in rural Jasper.
She married Earl York on Aug. 5, 1933, at Greenfield, Mo. He died April 1, 1976.
Survivors include a son, Edwin Rex York, Vallejo, Calif,; three daughters, Pat Ritchie, Carthage, Betty Lou Palmer, Wellington, Kan., and Loretta Hawkins, St. Joseph; a brother, E.W. "Cap" Howrey, Jasper; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Waters Cemetery, northwest of Jasper. Visitation will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Weng Funeral Home, Jasper.
William Coffey
William Robert Coffey, 66, London, Calif., a former Joplin resident, died Saturday, March 8, 1997, at Veterans' Administration Medical Center, Fresno, Calif., after a long illness.
Mr. Coffey was born Jan. 3, 1931, at Philadelphia, Mo. He served 10 years in the Marine Corps. He operated service stations in Joplin in the late 1960s and was a truck driver for 20 years in California.
He married Denzil Coffey on Feb. 21, 1953, at Carthage. She survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Charles Coffey, Ronald Coffey, Lloyd Coffey and James Coffey, all of London, and William Coffey, state of North Carolina; three daughters, Dorothy Keltner and Susan Coffey, both of London, and Debra Coffey, Exeter, Calif.; two brothers, Charles Coffey, Joplin, and Louis Coffey, Libertyville, Ill.; a sister, Doris Dowler, London; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at London Pentecostal Church of God. Burial will be in San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Gustine, Calif.
Clarence Folkins
The Rev. Clarence P. Folkins, 82, Springfield, a former Joplin area resident, died at 4:08 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 1997, at a nursing home in Springfield after an illness.
Mr. Folkins was born Sept. 14, 1914, at Langsask, Canada. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Southwest Missouri State College, Springfield; a bachelor of divinity degree from Garrett School of Theology at Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill.; and a doctor of divinity degree from Central Methodist College, Fayette, in 1969.
He served United Methodist churches in the Vienna circuit, and at Oakland, Mount Pisgah and Malden in Illinois, and at Morrisville, El Dorado Springs, Lamar, Lee's Summit and Springfield in Missouri.
He was district superintendent of Kansas City and St. Charles, and he retired as district superintendent in Joplin in 1981. He served with Wesley United Methodist Church in Springfield from 1981 to 1989.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Springfield, and the Springfield Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife, Vieta Folkins; two sons, Milton Folkins and Larry Folkins, both of Springfield; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield. The Rev. J. Wesley Ummel will officiate.
Celebration services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church, Springfield.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Klingner Mortuary, Springfield.

Bonnie Hunzeker
Bonnie Faye Hunzeker, 86, 125 McConnell Ave., died at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 1997, at a local nursing home after a short illness.
Mrs. Hunzeker was born Sept. 18, 1910, near Joplin. She was a lifelong Joplin area resident. She was a homemaker and a member of Harmony Heights Baptist Church.
She married Clyde R. Hunzeker in Joplin. He died June 21, 1969.
Survivors include a son, Jim Hunzeker, Tahlequah, Okla.; a daughter, May Fogerson, Joplin; a brother, Earl Adair, Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Goldie Forkner, Joplin; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Harmony Heights Baptist Church. The Rev. Charlie Davidson will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin.
Grandsons Mike Fogerson, Tom Girratano, Tom Howard, Rusty Hunzeker, David Hunzeker and Joey Leep will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
Herman Kruger Jr.
Herman Kruger Jr., 96, Joplin route 7, formerly of Cherokee, Kan., died at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 1997, at St. John's Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
Mr. Kruger was born Aug. 21, 1900, at Yale, Kan. He attended schools in Yale and at Burgess, Kan.. He also attended the Finley School of Engineering, Kansas City. He had been an electrician. He was honored as a 50-year member of the Independent Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in 1992.
He was a longtime resident of Cherokee, moving to Joplin in 1985.
He married Lola Marie Redington in 1932. She died Nov. 2, 1984.
Surviving are two sons, Oliver Kruger, Springdale, Ark., and Kenneth Kruger, Joplin; three brothers, Otto Kruger, Lee's Summit, Paul Kruger, Mission, Kan., and William Kruger, Cherokee; three sisters, Elizabeth Benson and Marie Kruger, both of Pittsburg, Kan., and Irene Michalewicz, Rosebud, Texas; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg. The Rev. Johns Swadley will officiate. Burial will be in Cherokee Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary, where friends may call after 1 p.m. today.
John Anderson
SENECA, Mo. - John David Anderson, 51, Seneca, died at 2:04 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 1997, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, after a long illness.
Mr. Anderson was born June 11, 1945, at Esterville, Iowa. He moved to Seneca four years ago. He had been chief executive officer for Reproductive Systems Inc., Kansas City, for several years. He was a Lutheran.
Survivors include a son, John Charles Matthew Anderson, Alta Loma, Calif.; a daughter, Josette Lorainne Lewis, Marietta, Ga.; his parents, Maynard and Hazel Anderson, Cathedral City, Calif.; two sisters, Starlyn Kaye Anderson, Fairland, Okla., and Donna Faye Sarkisian, Hanford, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
The body will be cremated.
Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Lake Fremont Cemetery, Dunnell, Minn.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
Anna Fenstermacher
CARTHAGE, Mo. - Anna Lou Fenstermacher, 73, 1020 Gene Taylor Drive, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 1997, at her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Fenstermacher was born Aug. 29, 1923, at Dighton, Kan. She moved to Carthage in 1972 from Kenvil, N.J. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Carthage. She was active in the McCune-Brooks Hospital Auxiliary and Meals on Wheels, Carthage.
She married Dale R. Fenstermacher on Jan. 24, 1945, at Great Bend, Kan. He survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Karen Ann Fenstermacher, Carthage; two sons, Paul E. Fenstermacher, Springfield, and Myk R. Fenstermacher, Katy, Texas; a brother, Charles Brown, Great Bend, Kan.; three sisters, Ruth Luckert, Perry, Okla., Barbara Wooten, Fort Worth, Texas, and Mary Hutchins, Scott City, Kan.; and four grandchildren.
Private family services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. The Rev. H.L. Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
