Christian Luginbill
Christian R. Luginbill, 81, Airport Drive Village, Joplin route 3, died at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 1996, at his home after a long illness.
Mr. Luginbill was born Feb. 2, 1915, at Opheim, Mont.
He moved to Northern Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1930.
He attended Winnipeg University, Winnipeg, Canada.
He moved to Wichita, Kan., in 1937 to become a bus driver for the original Santa Fe Trailways Bus Co., that later became Continental Trailways.
He moved to Joplin from Wichita in 1951.
He retired in 1980 after working 43 years for Continental Trailways and logged nearly three million miles without an accident.
He was a member of the Christian Church and a 50-year member of Mount Washington Masonic Lodge No. 614 AF/AM at Kansas City, Mo.
He also raised black Angus cattle.
He married Loretta Mitchell on Feb. 8, 1941, at Joplin. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Caroline Morton, Joplin, Diane Luginbill, Phoenix, Ariz., and Susan Little, Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Jim Luginbill, Eau Claire, Wis., and Curt Luginbill, Eason, Ga.; a sister, Blanche Hudson, Anaheim, Calif.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The body has been cremated.
No services are planned.

Mary Mullen
Mary L. Mullen, 71, 1610 Indiana Ave., died at 7:10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 1996, at her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Mullen was born Aug. 2, 1924, at Marshall.
She moved to Joplin in 1971 from North Kansas City.
She was a secretary for an auto parts supply store in Joplin and later worked at Lafayette House.
She retired in 1988.
Survivors include a son, James Willyard, Houston, Texas; three daughters, Rita Painter, Pineville, Carla McCoy, Joplin, and Kim Pasini, Gardner, Kan.; two brothers, Marvin Willyard, Lebo, Kan., and Howard Willyard, Kansas City; a sister, Frances Willyard, Kansas City, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
The Rev. Max Bishop will officiate.
Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gregg Pasini, Bill McCoy, Earl McKeehan, Donny McKeehan and Richie Harmon.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
Clint Palmer
Marlin Clinton "Clint" Palmer, 90, 201 Northpark Lane, died at 10:05 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 1993, at a Joplin nursing home after a long illness.
Mr. Palmer was born Dec. 21, 1906, in Lamesa County, Texas.
He moved to Joplin in 1982 from Purdy.
He worked in the trucking industry and had owned and operated Palmer Trucking Company at Phoenix, Ariz., for several years.
He retired in 1970 and moved to Purdy from Phoenix.
He married Juanita "Pat" Lynch on Dec. 21, 1957, at Las Vegas, Nev. She died Oct. 22, 1991.
Survivors include two sons, Marlin Palmer, Osburn, Idaho, and Carter Palmar, Rowlett, Texas; three daughters, Virginia Stephenson, Purdy, Joyce Lewis, Sacramento, Calif., and Dayne Eppright, Joplin; a brother, Ernest Palmer, Big Springs, Texas; two sisters, Bertie Kinsey, San Antonio, Texas, and Flora Porter, Big Springs; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
The Rev. Allen Brintnall will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Research Center, in care of the mortuary.
Glen Casto
WEBB CITY, Mo. - Glen D. Casto, 79, 1919 S. Hall St., Webb City, died at 7:16 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 1996, at McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage, after a long illness.
Mr. Casto was born Feb. 13, 1917, at Carterville.
He had lived most of his life Webb City.
He worked as a machinist for Vickers Co., Joplin.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of First Christian Church, Webb City.
Survivors include a son, Robert Casto, Carthage route 2; a stepson, Steve DeBerry, Springfield; two stepdaughters, Pat Moore and Cathy Dawson, both of Springfield; a brother, Fred Casto, Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Webb City Cemetery, with Calvin St. Clair, minister, officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home, Webb City.
Jimmy Culton
WEBB CITY, Mo. - Jimmy R. Culton, 64, formerly of Webb City, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1996, at a Joplin nursing home after a lifelong illness.
Mr. Culton was born Oct. 5, 1932, at Webb City.
Survivors include two brothers, Gene Culton, Webb City, and Ron Culton, Oronogo route 1; and four sisters, Betty Bailey, Oronogo, Sylvia Blackburn, Carterville, Lavern Bailey, Seattle, Wash., and Carrol Wagnon, Memphis.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Webb City Cemetery.
The Rev. Junior Elam will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Simpson Funeral Home, Webb City.
Henry DeCocq
WHEATON, Mo. - Henry W. "Hank" DeCocq, 73, Wheaton, died at 2:41 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 1996, at St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, after a short illness.
Mr. DeCocq was born May 12, 1923, at Purdy.
He was a 1953 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University at Springfield, where he received a degree in business.
He owned and operated D&D Oil Company at Wheaton since 1965.
He was a member of Wheaton Church of Christ, Missouri LP Gas Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Wheaton.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was awarded a Purple Heart.
He married Dorothy Lucile Snyder on May 23, 1953, at Springfield.
She died Sept. 18, 1993.
He married Dorothea B. Lankford on Oct. 23, 1994, at Gatlinburg, Tenn.
She survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Stephen H. DeCocq, Washburn, and Gary W. DeCocq, Deltona, Fla.; a daughter, Pamela J. Spillman, Purdy; three brothers, Cecil L. DeCocq and Fred E. DeCocq, both of Sand Springs, Okla., and Norman W. DeCocq, Ozark; a sister, Helen Leak, Wagoner, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
The Rev. Gary Culp, the Rev. James E. Lankford and Richard Anderson, minister, will officiate.
Burial will be in Muncie Chapel Cemetery, Wheaton.
Pallbearers will be Cecil DeCocq, Fred DeCocq, Norman DeCocq, Olan DeCocq, Tim DeCocq, Hurbert Leak, Lester Leak and Warren Spillman.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Bryan Fenton
NEOSHO, Mo. - Bryan H. Fenton, 74, Neosho, died at 3:05 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 1996, at Freeman Neosho Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Fenton was born Jan. 11, 1922, at Centralia. He moved to Neosho in 1956 from Mexico, Mo.
He was a commercial printer for Neosho Printing Company for 30 years.
He retired in 1986.
He was a member of American Legion Post No. 163, Neosho.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He married Marjorie Reid on Feb. 5, 1945, at Omaha, Neb. She survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Bryan R. Fenton, Brookings, Ore.; a daughter, Rita S. Ramey, East Wenatchee, Wash.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The body will be cremated. No services are planned.
