Glenn Paris Fry, 1926-2002
Graveside services for Glenn Paris Fry, 75, of Tecumseh, were held Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Clear Springs Cemetery with Roy Simmons officiating.
Mr. Fry died Nov. 8, 2002, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark. He was born Nov. 14, 1926, in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of William Stedman and Emma Margaret (Harmon) Fry.
He was a member of Clear Springs General Baptist Church and a builder and construction worker.
He was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II.
Mr. Fry is survived by three children, Fran Fry of Newport News, Va., Gary Fry of Mount Juliet, Tenn., and Jerry Fry of Palm Springs, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Helen Marie Kastning, 1923-2002
Services for Helen Marie Kastning, 79, of Buffalo, formerly of Ozark County, were held Thursday, Nov. 21 at Lilly Ridge General Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Hamby and Mike Allcorn officiating. Burial was in Lilly Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Kastning died Nov. 18, 2002, at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield. She was born Aug. 31, 1923, in Sycamore, the daughter of Lonzo and Ethel (Shipley) Allcorn. She was married to Clarence Kastning.
They made their home in Brixey for several years. Following the death of her husband in 1984, Mrs. Kastning moved to Buffalo.
She enjoyed attending area bluegrass festivals, being outdoors, tending her flower and vegetable gardens and was an avid deer hunter.
She was saved several years ago and was baptized at Hodgson Mill on Bryant Creek. She was a loving wife, sister and friend who enjoyed visiting with her family and friends on the telephone.
She is survived by one brother, Bacil Allcorn and his wife, Wanda, of Fair Grove; six sisters, Thelma McCleary and Darlene Cox and her husband, Bob, of Buffalo, Ella Mae Johns and her husband, Larry, of West Plains, Beulah Epley and her husband, Roy, and Shirley Craig and her husband, Steve, of Springfield, and Betty Beeman and her husband, Norman of Fair Grove; special friend, Louie Vincen; several nephews and nieces; and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her parents; and one infant brother.
Pallbearers were Bill Beeman, Larry Beeman, Dennis Beeman, Larry Freeman, John Peacock and David Freeman.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Allcorn, Monty Smith, Darren Peacock, Terry Freeman and Derek Peacock.

Ruth O. Farmer, 1912-2003
Funeral services for Ruth O. Farmer, 90, of Springfield, formerly of Gainesville, will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Dillin officiating. Burial will be in Sims Cemetery.
Mrs. Farmer died Jan. 27, 2003, at James River Care Center in Springfield. She was born Sept. 12, 1912, at Grabil, the daughter of Robert and Amanda (Foster) Brown. She married Claude Farmer Nov. 24, 1933, at Ava.
She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Chruch. She was a retired public school teacher.
Mrs. Farmer is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ann Miller of Lake of the Ozarks; one son, Gene Farmer of Springfield; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude; her parents; and one brother, Ernest Brown.

Josephine Ruth David, 1923-2003
Josephine Ruth David, 79, of Gainesville, died March 19, 2003, at Gainesville Health Care Center. She was born Oct. 8, 1923, in Ottawa, Kan., the daughter of William and Sephorina (Carr) Phariss.
Mrs. David was a healthcare worker at Baxter Lab.
Mrs. David is survived by four children, Jean Rex David of Larchwood, Iowa, James Paul David of Dora, Rickie Lee David and Billy Joe David, both of Wasola; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four sisters and brothers, Isabell Thomas of Independence, John Phariss of Alaska, Vernie Phariss and Arthur Phariss, both of Kansas City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Margaret Darlene Miller, 1941-2003
Funeral services for Margaret Darlene Miller, 62, of Gainesville, were held Tuesday, June 3 at Lilly Ridge General Baptist Church with Dale Roberts officiating. Burial was in Sallee Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller died May 31, 2003, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark. She was born Feb. 16, 1941, in Silver Mine, the daughter of Tallie and Zola (Vance) Pinkley. She married Elmer Miller Nov. 22, 1967, in Ironton.
She worked at Baxter Lab.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Elmer; two children, Jarrett Miller of Gainesville and Mike Miller of Spokane; her mother, Zola Pinkley of Ironton; three grandchildren; five brothers, Danny Pinkley of O'Fallon, Johnny Pinkley of Farmington, Kenneth Pinkley and David Pinkley, both of Fredericktown, and Bobby Pinkley of Ironton; and one sister, Elaine Adams of Ironton.
She was preceded in death by her father; one brother, Maurice Miller; and one sister, Sharon Hensen.
Pallbearers were Kurt Gott, Monty Hambelton, Bobby Anderson, Larry Miller, Raymond Pace and Walker Blackburn.
Honorary pallbearers were Marty Hambelton, Elzie Loftis, Bob Grisham and Jim Hicks.

Cecil Hardcastle, 1920-2003
Funeral services for Cecil Hardcastle, 83, of Caulfield, will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 20 in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains with Evangelist Kevin Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19 at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fowler Cemetery.
Mrs. Hardcastle died Feb. 17, 2003, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark. She was born Feb. 12, 1920, in Caulfield, the daughter of John Preston and Cytha Ellen (Martin) West. She married Leith Hardcastle Aug. 3, 1942, in West Plains.
She was baptized in 1954 and attended the Elijah Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and worked on the family farm. She attended Oak Grove and Bakersfield schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Hardcastle is survived by one son, Charlie Hardcastle and his wife, Paula, of Mountain Home, Ark.; one daughter, Cindy Kirkland and her husband, Bob, of Caulfield; six grandchildren, Rickey Kirkland, Michael Kirkland and his wife, Lisa, Robbie Kirkland and Samuel Kirkland, all of Caulfield, Dakota Hardcastle of Mountain Home, Ark., and Buddie Hardcastle of Jonesboro, Ark.; one great-grandchild, Dalton McDaniel; one sister, Audrey Hall of South Fork; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leith; her parents; one son, Clifford Lynn Hardcastle; four sisters; and three brothers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fowler Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.

Clyde D. Nesbitt, 1914-2003
Funeral services for Clyde D. Nesbitt, 88, of Hardenville, were held Monday, March 24 at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home with Dale Roberts officiating. Burial was in Lilly Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Nesbitt died March 21, 2003, at Brook View Nursing Home in Maryland Heights. He was born June 28, 1914, in Gainesville, the son of Andrew McFarland and Mamie (Payne) Nesbitt.
He worked at a Standard Service Station.
Mr. Nesbitt is survived by one nephew, Tim Lee of Hardenville, and one niece, Marilyn Haynes of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and David; and one sister, Mary.
Pallbearers were Tim Lee, Jack Lee, Robert Huse, Sid Smith and Wayman King.
