Geneva V. Perry
Geneva V. Perry, 82, Seneca, died at 11:20 PM Sunday, July 25, 2004 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin after an illness.
Mrs. Perry was born June 6, 1922 in Oklahoma the daughter of William and Flosie Lawhon. She had lived in the Joplin and Seneca area for many years. She was of the Baptist faith and had retired from Sears where she was Accounts Secretary.
Survivors include one son, Gary Winchester, Joplin; Seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Perry, March 3, 2001 and one daughter Sue Lawson, February 19, 1999.
Graveside service under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 29, 2004 at the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery, south of Seneca. Rev. Fred Mills will officiated.
George H. Boster
George H. Boster, 60, Seneca, Missouri, died at 2:40 PM, July 7, 2004 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO after an illness.
George was born November 9, 1943 in Staunton IL the son of James and Dorothy Boster. He formerly served in the Arm Reserves. George retired form the Milnot Company in Seneca and was a carpenter.
Survivors include: three sons; Jerry Boster, Auburn, IL, Thomas Boster, Clen Carbon, IL and Dennis Boster, NE: two daughters Marie Nix, Chenoa, IL, and Tamra Pitzer, Seneca, MO. and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Memorial services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 16, 2004 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Chapel.

Kayla Dawn Walls
Kayla Dawn Walls, 9, Joplin passed into eternal rest, 5:20 PM, July 7, 2004 at her home after a long illness.
Kayla was born December 25, 1994 to Donna Walls in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She moved to the south of Joplin four years ago. Kayla was a member of Mrs. Frye second grade class at the Seneca Elementary School and a member of West 20th St. Christian Church, Joplin.
Survivors include her mother Donna Walls, Joplin; Maternal grandmother and grandfather James and Sally Walls, MannFord, OK; Aunt Candy Morrow; Uncle James P. Walls; Cousins Holly Morrow and Michael Morrow.
Funeral Services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 10, 2004 in the funeral home chapel with Ron McMillan officiating. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM the same day at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Mannford, OK.
Pallbearers will be James P. Walls, Scott A. Burcham, Holly Morrow, Kenneth Bussel and Candy Morrow; Honorary Pallbearer will be Lyndsay Day.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Lester “Ton” Griffin
Lester “Ton” Griffin, 93, Wyandotte, OK, died at 4:25 PM, July 2, 2004 at his sons home in Goodman, MO.
Ton was born March 6, 1911 the son of David and Susan Griffin. He retired from Safeway Bakery and was a farmer. Ton had lived in the Grove, Wyandotte and Goodman areas most of his life. He was a member of the Seneca Assembly of God church.
He married Anna Mae Beaver, June 20, 1932 in Seneca, MO and she survives.
Additional survivors include: one son; Lester Vaughn Griffin and wife Della, Goodman, MO: one daughter; Vivian Fink and husband Shannon, Wyandotte, OK: two sisters, Mildred Massey, Wyandotte, OK and Lorene Masterson, Miami, OK: 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Ton was preceded in death by one brother; Walt Griffin and two sisters; Ercel Long and Ola Massey.
Funeral Services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Seneca Assembly of God Church with Rev. Calvin Ackerson, Rev. Larry Convirs and Rev. Herman Jolly officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with grandson and great-grandson serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home Monday.
Billie Jean Lankford
1945-2006
Billie Jean Lankford, 61, Rural Neosho, MO, passed into eternal rest at 7:16 am, Thursday, September 14, 2006 at her home in rural Seneca after a long illness.
Billie was born July 5, 1945 in Delaware County, Oklahoma the daughter of Sam and Josie Chunestudey and had lived in the area most of her life. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Seneca Church of Christ, Seneca Area Fire Protection District Ladies Auxiliary, Internal Tribal Council, Neosho and Volunteered as a coach for the girls basketball team at Westview Schools.
Billie married David (Joe) Lankford December 4, 1970 in Pineville, MO. and he survives.
Additional survivors include, four sons, Roy Lankford, Randy Lankford Ryan Lankford and Rowdy Harris, all of Neosho; Two brothers, Robert Chunestudey, Vian, OK and Ralph Chunestudey, Jay, OK.; two sisters, Mary Ann Tucker, Salina, OK and Trisha Goodman, Grove, OK; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services under the personal care of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the Thompson Grove Cemetery, South East of Seneca, with Bob Hampton officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM, Saturday at the Seneca Church of Christ located at 1820 St. Louise behind the Seneca High School.
Marvin Delbert Keeler
Marvin Delbert Keeler, 65, Seneca, died at 10:00 pm, Saturday, September 6, 2003 at National Health Care Center, Joplin after an illness.
Mr. Keeler was born August 20, 1938 at Ponca City, Oklahoma the son of Marvin and Ruby Keeler. He was a Veteran serving in the Navy.
Survivors include his mother Ruby Keeler Long, Wichita, KS. One brother Charles Keeler, Oklahoma City, One sister, Nancy Shelton, Enid, Oklahoma.
He was proceeded in death by two brothers, Dale Keeler and Kenneth Keeler and two sisters, Carol Tally and Shirley Ray Keeler.
Graveside services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Seneca Cemetery with Harold Reaves officiating.
The casket will be closed at all times.
Walter Scott Yeakey
Scott Yeakey went to be with our Lord Sunday, September 7, 2003. He was born April 23, 1926 to Walter Scott and Della Morris Yeakey in Joplin, Mo. and they preceded him in death.
He married Ruth Golden September 7, 1947 in Seneca and she survives. They enjoyed 56 wonderful years together and were blessed with four children.
Mr. Yeakey was an elder of the Swars Prairie Church of Christ and owned and operated the Seneca Locker Plant for 36 years. He was a proud WW II Veteran.
Survivors include two sons, Scotty and Maureen Yeakey, Seneca and Bill and Lisa Yeakey, Fort Worth, Tx.; two daughters, Marilyn and Jim Long, Seneca and Jeanine and Gary Wolfinbarger, Neosho. They were blessed by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at Swars Prairie Church of Christ with Gale West and Darrell Fisher officiating. Burial will be in the Swars Prairie Church of Christ Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The body will lie in state at the home, 2981 Holly Rd. Seneca, friends may call at any time.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Swars Prairie Church of Christ Cemetery fund of the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
