Mr. Carty was born May 25, 1921 in rural Dent County to J.E. and Ellen (Musgraves) Carty. He married Alma Carty October 17, 1975. Mr. Carty died August 18, 2007 in Salem at the age of 86 years, two months and 24 days.
Survivors include his daughter, Sharrin Kay Dietz, Las Vegas, Nev.; granddaughter, Sherry Kellogg and husband, Chuck, Las Vegas, Nev.; great-granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Kellogg, Las Vegas, Nev.; stepchildren, Gene Shaw and wife, Sue, Salem; Larry Shaw, Salem; Bobby Shaw, Salem; Leon Shaw, Salem; Johnny Shaw and wife, Brenda, Salem; Kenny Shaw and wife, Cindy, Salem; Jack Shaw, Viburnum; Beulah Bond, Salem; Sue Garmany, St. Charles; Kathy Prince and husband, Jimmy, St. Charles; and a host of step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.

Mr. Curtis was born July 24, 1935 in Portland, Maine, to Russell Hubert and Thelma Irene (Smith) Curtis. He married Karen S. Putman April 6, 1974. They were the parents of nine children. Mr. Curtis died August 18, 2007 in Indianapolis, Ind., at the age of 72 years and 25 days.
Survivors include nine children, Sheryl Lynn Hendrickson, Warsaw, Ind.; Judith Gail Holt, Electra, Texas; Robert W. Curtis and wife, Linda, Sweetser, Ind.; Hiawatha Kay Myers, Salem; David E. Curtis, Portland, Ind.; Lora S. Oswalt, Toledo, Ohio; Archie "Sam" Flynn, Salem; Stacy Ann Cavinder and friend, Paul Mesey, Salem; and Sabrina Lynn Curtis, Portland, Ind.; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nephew, Robert Johns and wife, Joyce, Moberly; great- niece and nephew, Sarah and Kyle Johns.

Linore (Ball) Massey

Mrs. Massey was born March 7, 1913 in Howes Mills to Morgan Anvil and Belle (Hughes) Ball. She married Dr. A. Mont Massey June 1, 1930. Mrs. Massey died August 17, 2007 in Springfield at the age of 94 years, five months and ten days.

Mrs. McDaniel died November 5, 2007 at the age of 89 years.
