Jack Kenneth Bobbitt was born April 17, 1933 to the late Albert Lee Bobbitt and Gurtie Callahan Bobbitt in Davisville, MO and departed this life January 8, 2000 at his home in Overland, MO at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 21 days.
Jack grew up in Davisville. He moved to St. Louis and joined the Carpenters Union Local 185. He worked as a carpenter over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising cattle.
On August 31, 1956 Jack married Vera Grace Ray in Bourbon, MO, and to this union two sons were born. Together they made their home in Overland, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Louis Bobbitt; one sister, Betty Bryant; brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Jerry Langley, Wilson Cole, George Smith, Bill Ashby, Marguerite Ray, Clint Ray, Frank Ray, Earl Ray, Gladys Ray, Lloyd and Lucy Rutledge, George and Johanna Ray.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving wife Vera of the home; two sons, Michael Bobbitt and wife Donna of St. Peters, MO; Kevin Bobbitt and wife Kitty of Ypsilanti, Michigan; two grandchildren, Sara and Michael Bobbitt of St. Peters, MO.
Two brothers, Joe Bobbitt and wife Dixie and Jim Bobbitt and wife Margie both of Salem, MO; four sisters, Marie Vaughn and husband Ralph of Huntsville, Texas; Lorraine Pinnell and husband Haskell of Villa Ridge, MO; Bonnie Langley of Steelville, MO; and Darlene Taber and husband Everett of Cuba, MO.
Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Chester Bryant of Cherryville, MO; Carolyn Bobbitt of Ashville, NC; Opal Cole of Kirkwood, MO; Lennie Smith of Junction City, KS; Beulah Ashby of Bourbon, MO; Pearl and Herschel Albright of Sullivan, MO; Clyde Ray of Rolla, MO.
Charles and Rose Ray of St. Louis; Edna Ray of St. Charles, MO; Hazel Ray of Arizona; Pat Ray of Sullivan, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends all who will sadly miss and fondly remember Jack Kenneth Bobbitt.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at the Hutson Funeral Chapel in Steelville, MO with Rev. Delmar B. Hutson officiating.
Visitation was held Monday, January 10, 2000 from 5-9 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO
Burial was in the Davisville Cemetery, Davisville, Missouri.
Those honoring Jack as pallbearers were: Matt Hudson, Mike Hudson, John Hudson, Joe Lee, Wes Bobbitt and Larry Albright.
Joe Bobbitt played the guitar and sang.

Richard Edwin Farris
Richard Edwin "Ed" Farris of Cuba, Missouri was born on March 8, 1915 at Hinch, Missouri to the union of Fred C. Farris and Julia Farris nee Woods and passed away on January 11, 2000 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital, Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 84 years 10 months and 3 days.
On January 25, 1941 Ed was united in marriage to Pauline Elizabeth Baker at Union, Missouri. They were happily married until Ed preceded Pauline in death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Harold and Ben Farris.
He was a long time resident of Crawford County and a retired farmer.
Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his loving wife Pauline E. Farris; one son David R. Farris & wife Barbara; four daughters Edwina Britton & husband James, Ava Waits, Rosemary Basham & husband Luther and Laverna Davis & husband Don; one brother William Farris & wife Georgia; three sisters Reba Amann, Sadie Woods and Janie Harmon; 24 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Ed was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, good friend to all who knew him.
Richard E. "Ed" Farris was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri where funeral services were held on Friday, January 14, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. William Beazley officiating. Interment was in the Lea Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri. Pallbearers were Curtis Dunakey, James Britton, Donald Bridgeman, Allan Branson, Kevin Farris, Ronald Martin, Jerod Wiles and Ken Weiberg.
All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Edith Isabell Stack
Edith Isabell Stack, nee Ryan, was born Monday September 23, 1912, at Steelville, Missouri, a daughter of the late James Ryan and Hattie Ryan (nee Ballard).
She entered eternal rest Monday, January 10, 2000, from Cuba Manor, Cuba, Missouri, at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 17 days.
On January 1, 1929, at Cuba, Missouri, Edith was united in marriage to Newton Stack. Newton was a minister with the Assembly of God. He and Edith were dedicated to their church and their home. He preceded her in death, March 6, 1980.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Gibson and Effie May Avery; one brother, Joel Ryan; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mabel Ryan, Effie Stack, Bill Stack, James and Lillian Stack, John Stack and Steven Stack.
Among those who remain to mourn her passing are two brothers, Paul Ryan and wife Dorothy of Florissant, Missouri, and Luther Ryan of Portland, Oregon; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Mildred Seitz and Lulla Wood both of Cuba, Missouri, Charles and Julia Stack of St. James, Missouri; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Edith Isabelle Stack lay in state 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2000, at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2000, in the Britton Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Webb officiating.
Interment and committal prayers were in Meramec Hills Memorial Lawn, Cuba, Missouri. Pallbearers were Carroll Gregory, Earl Halbert, Rodney Halbert, Shannon Halbert, Joel Ryan, and Mike Ryan.

Irene F. Kane
Irene F. Kane of Sullivan passed away Saturday, January 8, 2000 at the age of 88 years.
Irene was born a twin on October 21, 1911 to the late Edward and Effie May (Houston) Hulsey at Steelville, Missouri. On December 27, 1945 Irene was married to Frank Kinovsky at the First Presbyterian Church. Irene and two of her sisters, Marietta and Roseanna made news when they shared the same wedding gown at their respective weddings which all took place in the Presbyterian Church.
In 1968 Mr. Kinovsky changed his name to Kane for business purposes and they became Mr. and Mrs. Kane. They made their home in Chicago, Illinois area for many years where Mrs. Kane was employed as a bookkeeper for the Spiegel Catalog Company. For the past 20 years Irene made her home in Sullivan where she was a member of the Tuesday Club and the First Presbyterian Church. Irene enjoyed gardening, playing cards, crafts and crocheting. Irene's twin sister, Nadine Immekus passed away one year to the day on January 8, 1999.
She is survived by two sitsters, Marietta Howk and husband Art of Sullivan, Roseanna Netzela of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, one brother-in-law, Buddy Immekus of Sullivan, six nephews, Dana Wilcox and wife Sharon of Florissant, Albert Netzela II and wife Patty of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Winfred Immekus and wife Rita of San Antonio, Texas, Douglas Immekus of Mayfield, Kansas, Paul Howk and wife Nancy of Redbud, Illinois, Ray Howk of St. Louis, one niece, Sharon Kettlekhake of Sullivan, great neices and nephews, Jeanie Marie, Mark, Michelle, Jennifer and Karen Wilcox of Florissant, Albert Netzela III, Dawn and Arianna Netzela all of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Richard Kettlekhake of Germany, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2000 from the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Dale Jackson officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Point Cemetary in Steelville, Missouri. Arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home.
Emile Buddy Evrard
Emile Buddy Evrard was born Wednesday, November 24, 1915, at Windsor, Missouri, a son of the late Charles Evrard and Philemon Evrard (nee Mertens). He entered eternal life Tuesday, January 11, 2000, from the Gibbs Care Center, Steelville, Missouri, at the age of 84 years, 1 month, and 18 days.
Emile served his county in the United States Army as a bugler, from 1942 to December 1945.
In May 1942, he was united in marriage to Mary Rosella Cook. They have been blessed with over fifty-seven years together and three sons, Gary, Charles and Clinton.
He worked for a number of years as a yard mechanic for the railroad. When he came to Crawford County he worked for Chaumiere Farms and later he and Mary both worked for the Crawford County Elementary School.
In addition to his parents, Emile was preceded in death by four brothers, Norman, Edmond, William and Charles Evrard, and three sisters, Adeline, Elsie and Cecilia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Albert Cook, Walter Cook and Freddie Alfred Cook.
Among those who remain to mourn his death are his devoted wife Mary Rosella Evrard of Steelville, Missouri; three sons, Gary Evrard of Sparta Illinios, Charles Evrard and wife Sheila of Gastonia, North Carolina, Clinton Evrard and wife Lee of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Genevieve Evrard of Windsor, Missouri, Mary Evrard of Harrisburg, Illinois, Lydia and Don Hoefs of Petaluma, California, Emma and Joe Moen of Lowndes, Missouri, Charles Henry and Lottie Cook of Springtown, Texas, Bettie Cook and Emma Cook of Phoenix, Arizona.
Ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2000, in the Britton Chapel with Rev. Richard Wilber officiating.
Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri, under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Eloice Clella Garms
Eloice Clella Garms, need Hewkin, was born Tuesday, May 8, 1928, at Granite City, Illinois, a daughter of the late Walter Silas Hewkin and Clella (Greenwood) Hewkin.
She entered eternal rest Friday, January 7, 2000, at the Sullivan Nursing Care Center, Sullivan, Missouri, at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 30 days.
On December 1, 1946 at a friend's home in St. Louis, Missouri, Eloice was united in marriage to Jay A. Garms. They were blessed with over fifty-three years together, and two daughters, Vicki and Lavona.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Buster Hewkin and Rodney Hewkin; one sister Naomi Boll, sister-in-law Ruby Hewkin and brother-in-law Fred Garms.
Among those who remain to mourn her passing are her devoted husband Jay Garms of Sullivan, Missouri; their two daughters, Vicki and husband Rick Adams of Sullivan, Missouri, Lavona and husband Rick Jordan of St. Louis, Missouri, five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Four brothers Homer Hewkin and wife Leora of Cherryville, Missouri, Don Hewkin and wife June of Ferguson, Missouri, Jim Hewkin and wife Marilyn of Cuba, Missouri, Lynn Hewkin of Steelville, Missouri; two sisters, Darlene and husband Jim Cape of Cuba, Missouri, Colleen and husband Glen Woolbright of St. Louis, Missouri.
Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Vera Hewkin of Cummings, Georgia, Shirley Hewkin of San Diego, California, Walter Boll of St. Louis, Missouri, Raymond and Ruth Garms, Earl and Georgia Garms, Larry and Joyce Garms all of Steelville, Missouri.
Nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends who will remember her as a person full of love for her Lord, her family and her friends.
Eloice Clella Garms lay in state 4-8 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2000, at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2000, in the Britton Chapel with Rev. David Cartee officiating. Musical selections were provided by organist Darlene Cape and vocalist Finis Barr and Jim Hewkin.
Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri. Honoring Eloice as pallbearers were her grandsons Eric Jordan, Chris Jordan, Rick Jordan and Rick Adams, and her nephews Alan Cape and John Hewkin.
Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Arthur Tourville
Arthur Tourville of Sullivan, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2000 at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia at the age of 86 years.
Mr. Tourville was born December 31, 1913 in the Smith School area near Sullivan to the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Bacon) Tourville. On August 19, 1933 he was married to Esther Spaid at Steelville, Missouri, and to this marriage two children were born.
He engaged in various endeavors throughout his life, which included working for the Meramec State Park, serving as a guard for the Pea Ridge Mines, and, more recently, laboring as a machinist for Carden Machine Shop. He was especially fond of music, and, being skilled with the fiddle and guitar, would regularly play for nursing homes, hospitals, and weekly get-togethers with special friends.
He also enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his greatest pleasure was engaging in the lost art of trading. It was said that he could "out trade anyone" for a knife, watch or any object which caught his eye. Mr. Tourville was a member of the Temple Baptist Church of Sullivan.
He is survived by his wife Esther; one son, Jerry Tourville and wife, Mary, of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter, Carole Helton and husband, Gene, of Hazelwood, Missouri; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Roy Spaid; four sisters-in-law, Virginia Strothcamp, Mary Tourville, Lena Tourville and Doris Saucier; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ten brothers and four sisters preceded Mr. Tourville in death.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 14, 2000 from the Hassebroek Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastors Scott Perry and Robert Tourville officiating. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery, Sullivan, Missouri.
Harold "Hutch" Hutchins
Harold "Hutch" Hutchins of Japan, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 8, 2000 at the age of 79 years.
Mr. Hutchins was born on April 7, 1920 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio to the late Vera nee Lindall and Harold Hutchins, Sr. of Ormond Beach, Florida.
"Hutch" served his country with distinction as an Infantry Captain and Commander in World War II. He was wounded at Anzio, Italy and in 1944 was awarded the Purple Heart. He also participated in the landing at Salerno and Anzio, Italy, and received the Bronze Star award. He was honorably discharged after three years of service in the United States Army.
On January 15, 1962 "Hutch" was united in marriage to Gloria Ann Giancola. "Hutch" and Gloria spent the majority of their working lives together in the management and operation of numerous, large hotels and motels throughout the country. After retirement they traveled across the country, and also made five trips abroad to Italy and other European countries before settling in Japan, Missouri.
"Hutch" and the late Gloria Hutchins are survived by five daughters, Carol Bartlett of Wentzville, Missouri, Gloria "Deet" Bedrosian of Sullivan, Donna Blankenship and husband, Richard, of Spring Bluff, Debbie Sabatino and husband, Tony, of Sullivan, and Denise Bess and husband, Randy, of Cuba, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. "Hutch" was preceded in death by wife, Gloria Ann Hutchins, on November 24, 1990, and also by his brother, Dan Hutchins, of New Canaan, Connecticut.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2000 from the Holy Martyrs of Japan Church with the Reverend Father Robert Marshall officiating. Interment was in Holy Martyrs Church Cemetery. Visitation hours for Mr. Harold "Hutch" Hutchins were from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at the Hassebroek Funeral Home in Sullivan. All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
