Michael David Perry
Michael David Perry of Cuba, Mo. was born on July 21, 1956 at St. Louis, Mo. to the union of Harvey James Perry, II and Gloria June Perry nee Crabtree and passed away on November 20, 2000 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital, Sullivan, Mo. at the age of 44 years, 3 months and 29 days.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Marsha LaChance.
Mike was a long time employee of Chrysler of Fenton, Mo. and a member of the United Auto Workers.
Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his two loving sons, Kristopher and Kevin Perry; two brothers, Harvey J. Perry, III and Patrick Perry; two sisters Sue Love and Cindy Williams; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Mike was a loving father, brother, good friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed.
Michael David Perry was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo. where funeral services were held on Saturday, November 25, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Likely officiating. Interment was in the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Mo. All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo.

Katherine Cromwell Yeager
Katherine Cromwell Yeager, (nee Clark) 89, died November 7th in Westport, Connecticut.
Mrs. Yeager was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire daughter of the late Jack and Marguerite Cole Clark. Her maternal great grandfather was Judge Daniel Donahoe and her paternal great grandfather was General Nelson Cole. Gen. Cole was also former Mayor of St. Louis, Missouri.
Survivors include one daughter, Jane C. Bulkley and one granddaughter, Pamela Bulkley, both of Westport, CT. Two sisters, Nancy Ransome of Morrestown, NJ, and Joan Wilson of So. Strafford, VT. Two cousins, Mary Elders Pounds and family of Cuba, MO and Robert Brickner of Texas and San Francisco, CA.
Interment in Rolla Cemetery, Rolla, MO will be private. The Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, MO is in charge of arrangements.

Rose Mary Turnbough
Rose Mary Turnbough (nee Downs) was born Tuesday, June 7, 1927 at Elvins, Mo., a daughter of the late Roy Downs and Myrtle (Fingers) Downs.
She entered eternal rest Wednesday, November 22, 2000, in the Fountain Blue Nursing Center, Festus, Mo., at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 15 days.
On June 7, 1944, at Tower Grove Baptist Church, St. Louis, Mo., Rose was united in marriage to Elvin James 'Al' Turnbough. Four sons and two daughters were born to this union. They were sixteen when they were married and enjoyed over fifty-two years together before his death, July 22, 1996.
Among those who remain to mourn her passing are her daughter, Linda and husband Al Melchior of Festus, Mo.; two sons, Bruce 'Huck' Turnbough and wife Brenda, John Turnbough and wife Tracy, all of DeSoto, Mo., daughter-in-law Jackie of St. Charles, Mo.
Four sisters, Lucille McIntyre, Wanda and husband Ernie Devoti, Millie Scronce, and Peggy, husband Ray Durrance, all of Florida.
Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Hazel and John Kozlowski of Texas, Betty and Ken Schenck of Scottsdale, Arizona, Sarah Kuntz of Viburnum, Mo., Anthony Jackson of St. Charles, Mo.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents and Al, Rose was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Turnbough; two sons, Elvin James Turnbough, Jr., and Richard Edmond Turnbough; one sister Ruth Boly; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carl Boly, Mac McIntyre, Robert Kuntz, Brenda Jackson, Glenwood Turnbough and William "Bill" Turnbough.
Rose Mary Turnbough lay in state after 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2000, at the Britton Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo. Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2000, in the Britton Chapel with Rev. Glenn and Shirley Gowen officiating.
Committal prayers and interment were in Czar Cemetery, Viburnum, Mo. Honoring their grandmother as pallbearers were Jesse Kerby, Al Melchior, Nik Melchior.
Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo.

William Edward "Bill" Blue
William Edward Blue was born Friday, May 24, 1929, in St. Louis, Mo., a son of Beulah (Westerman) Blue and the late William Henry Blue. He was an only child.
Bill enlisted in the United States Naval Reserves, January 28, 1947. September 15, 1950, he enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged May 23, 1954.
On December 21, 1979, at El Dorado, Kansas, Bill was united in marriage to Doris Lorraine Keeven. They have enjoyed twenty-one years together.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one step-son, Michael David Keeven.
Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his devoted wife, Doris Blue of the home in Steelville, Mo.; his mother, Beulah Blue of Manchester, Mo.; four sons, Richard Blue and wife Dana of Stanton, Mo., Robert Blue of St. James, Mo., Bill Blue, Jr. and wife Brenda of Texas, Wayne Blue and wife Christine of Steelville, Mo.; one daughter Karen Martin and husband John of Steelville, Mo.
Step-children, Renee and husband Blaine Parrett, Donna and husband Roger Housewright, Cathy Sherill, Jeff Keeven and wife Tracy, Kenny Keeven and wife Becky, all of Steelville, Mo., Karen and husband Bob Pinnell of Cuba, Mo., Larry Keeven of Pacific, Mo.
Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward and Carol Lorraine of Cuba, Mo., Mike and Brenda Lorraine of Steelville, Mo., Patricia and Ken Hammers, and Marie Korte of St. Peters, Mo., Cathy and Gary Miller of Sedalia, Mo., Joan and Frank Barteau, and John Lorraine of Florissant, Mo., Vernon (Bruce) and JoAnn of O'Fallon, Mo.; twenty grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
William Edward "Bill" Blue lay in state at 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo. Prayer services were held 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2001, in the Britton Chapel with Father Bob Duesdieker officiating. Music was provided by Lisa Lorraine. A poem written by Brian Sellers was read by Brian in Bill's honor.
Graveside services were held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2001, at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Mo., with Father Bob Duesdieker officiating.
Pallbearers were Frank Barteau, Richard Blue, Ed Lorraine, Mike Lorraine, Bob Pinnell, Wesley Sherrill, and Doug Tiberghein. Committal prayers and interment were in Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Mo.
Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo.

James E. Williams
James Earl Williams was born on May 23, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri to Earl T. Williams and Irene Vincent Williams and passed away suddenly on May 23, 2001 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 68 years.
Jim grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict. Jim professed his faith in Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Leasburg, Missouri.
On May 21, 1955 James E. Williams was united in marriage to Shirley E. Ennis at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Leasburg, Missouri and to this union five children were born.
Jim was a welder most of his career. He worked many years at Steel Weld in St. Clair. He retired from Rockwell-Ace Manufacturing in Sullivan. Having been a welder, Jim enjoyed building things from metal in his spare time and after retirement. He also enjoyed fishing especially with the children when they were growing up.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Larry Williams, one grandchild Robert Thomason Jr., and one great grandchild Megan Cencelewski.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his dear wife Shirley of the home, five children, Pamela Thomason and husband Robert of Leasburg, Missouri, Cathy Harmon of Sullivan, Missouri, James D. Williams and wife Trina of Leasburg, Missouri, Kim Gorzik and husband Ryan of Leasburg, Missouri and Melanie Eckert of Sullivan, Missouri; one sister-in-law Nelda McArthur of Potosi, Missouri; a special nephew Larry Williams of St. Louis, Missouri; 19 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, others relatives and many friends, all who will sadly miss and fondly remember James E. Williams.
Visitation was held at Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba from 5-9 on Thursday, May 24, 2001.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2001 at Hutson Funeral Chapel in Cuba with Rev. Walter "Bud" Sanders and Rev. Terry King officiating.
Burial was in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery at Leasburg, Missouri.
Memorials may be given to First Southern Baptist Church in Leasburg, Missouri.
All arrangements were under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.

Robert A. Bock
Robert A. Bock of Bourbon, Mo. passed away Thursday, October 25, 2001 at the age of 66 years.
Bob, as his family and friends knew him, was born in the New Rock area near Bourbon on October 28, 1934 to Andrew and Carrie (Merkel) Bock. His vocation in life was that of a self-employed carpenter. Bob was also a heavy equipment operator for K. R. Wilson Co. and owned and operated his own backhoe service. His carpentry work was known throughout the area. He honorably served his country with the United States Marine Corps during the Korea War.
On August 30, 1958 Bob was united in marriage to Mary Lee Vance at Bourbon, Mo. and to this union three children were born. Bob was saved and baptized into the Baptist faith. He enjoyed camping and boating. He taught his children how to water-ski and would often take Mary Lee fishing. Bob had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good joke and pulling pranks.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee nee Vance of Bourbon; two sons, Keith Bock and wife Nickie of Bourbon and Kevin Bock of Sullivan; one daughter, Tammy Ware and husband Leonard of Bourbon, seven grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Along with his parents Bob was preceded in death by a half-brother, Eugene Beamey and a sister Karen Bock who died in infancy.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2001 from the Eaton Funeral Chapel in Bourbon, Missouri with Pastor Mike Bates officiating. Interment was in Bourbon Cemetery.

John W. Coleman
John W. Coleman was born Wednesday, February 16, 1916 at Davisville, Mo., a son of the late Otis F. Coleman and Delila Catherine (Setzer) Coleman. He died suddenly Saturday, October 20, 2001, in Summerville, Mo. at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 4 days.
On June 19, 1943, John was united in marriage to Maudie Fay Swyers, daughter of Nellie May and Marion F. Swyers. Three sons and three daughters were born to this union. They have enjoyed over fifty-eight years together.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one son, John Rodney Coleman, one daughter, Frances Nell Coleman, and one sister Argie Catherine Coleman.
Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his devoted wife, Maudie Coleman of the home in Davisville, Mo.; two sons and two daughters, Lila and husband Red Meridth of Afton, Mo., Margie and husband Jim Bobbitt of Salem, Mo., Tom Coleman and wife Pam of Viburnum, Mo., Otis Coleman and wife Sherri of Dillard, Mo.; a grandson that was raised as a son, John B. Halbert and wife Teresa of Davisville, Mo.
One brother, Paul Coleman and wife Nola Jean of Beauford, Mo.; three sisters, Helen Earls of Ironton, Mo., Margie Randall of Edwardsville, Illinois, Dorothy Zumsteim of Redmond, Oregon; sister-in-law, Ida Jane Jones of St. James, Mo.
Eleven additional grandchildren, Rick Halbert, Lila Halbert, Frannie Evans, Bud Adams, Wes Bobbitt, Jessica Coleman, Julie Coleman, Tommy John Coleman, Tera Coleman, Donna Coleman, and Mariah Coleman.
Thirteen great-grandchildren, John, Jake, and Katie Halbert, Frannie, Alli, and Jeremiah Halbert, Megan Weaver, Andrew and Savannah Evans, Zach, Toni, Brandon and Hannah Adams; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
John's entire life was spent on the family farm. He had strong ties to his land, family, neighbors, business associates and friends. He took great pride in raising quality cattle and he always enjoyed a good coon hunt. He will be missed.
John W. Coleman lay in state 5-9 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2001, at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo. Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2001, in the Britton Chapel with Rev. Daniel Evans officiating. Musical selection was provided by vocalist Richmond Key and Frannie Evans. A beautiful poem was written and given as a tribute to his grandfather by Bud Adams.
Committal prayers and interment were in First Baptist Church Cemetery, Cherryville, Mo. Serving as pallbearers were Bud Adams, Wes Bobbitt, Rick Halbert, Health Newby, Neil Swyers and Rocky Swyers. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy John Coleman, Jake P. Halbert, John D. Halbert, Roger Schafer and Tom Swyers.
Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo.

Wanda M. Engle
Wanda M. Engle nee Rice of Cuba, Mo. was born on August 9, 1915 at Searcy, Arkansas to the union of Claude Rice and Anna (Zieman) Rice and passed away on October 20, 2001 at Cuba, Mo. at the age of 86 years, 2 months and 11 days.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents.
On October 28, 1941 she was united in marriage to Loyd Engle at Cuba, Mo. They have been happily married for 59 years.
She was a member of the Cuba United Methodist Church, a Charter member of the Crawford County Historical Society, was a very active member of the United Methodist Women and past choir member.
Those who survive to mourn her passing from this life are her devoted husband Loyd Engle; three brothers Jim Rice and wife Gladys, Harlan Rice and wife Bobbie and Milton "Red" Rice and wife Mary; one sister Clora E. Winscher; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Wanda was a devoted wife, loving sister, aunt, good friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed.
Wanda Engle nee Rice was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo. where funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 23, 2001 at 11 a.m. Interment was in the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Mo. All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo.

Roy Taft Gilliam
Roy Taft Gilliam was born Tuesday, January 10, 1911 at Shoal Creek in Crawford County, Mo., a son of the late James Luther (Newt) Gilliam and Sarah Jane (Gibson) Gilliam.
He entered eternal rest Tuesday, October 23, 2001 at the home of his daughter, Beverly, in St. Louis, Mo. at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 13 days.
On August 22, 1929, on Big Shoal Creek, Steelville, Mo., Taft was united in marriage to Allie Chandler, daughter of Israel Sheldon Chandler and Lula Anna (Evans) Chandler. To this union of seventy-one years, two sons and two daughters were born.
In addition to his parents, and step-mother, Lola (Brakefield) Gilliam, he was preceded in death by his wife, one sister Gearl and husband Jack Hopkins; one grandson, Bobby Gilliam; one son-in-law, William Merritt; four brothers-in-law, Lark, Charlie, Halic, and Levi Chandler and one sister-in-law, Ida Martin Scott.
Among those who remain to mourn his passing are four children, Leroy Eugene Gilliam and wife Mary of Shoal Creek, Mo.; Mary Ann Merritt of St. Louis, Mo.; Winford Ralph Gilliam and wife Peggy of Troy, Mo.; Beverly Christine and husband Lloyd Moore of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Four brothers, George Gilliam and wife Lois, Donald Gilliam, and Elvie Gilliam, all of St. Louis, Mo., and Jerry Gilliam and wife Sandy of Cahokia, Illinois; two sisters, Rita Erickson, and Lena and husband Horce Schmans all of St. Louis, Mo.; sister-in-law, Lena (Mrs. Lark) Chandler of St. Louis, Mo.; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Roy Taft Gilliam lay in state 3-8 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2001, at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2001, in the Briton Chapel with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Musical selections were provided by vocalist Larry Sherrill and pianist Geraldine Sherrill.
Committal prayers and interment were in Shoal Creek Cemetery, Steelville-Viburnum, Mo. Serving as pallbearers were Zachary Brown, Lonnie Chandler, Winford Gilliam, Jr., Dennis Merritt, Rob Reinwald, and Steve Moore.
Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo.

Jeffery Glenn Parrett
Jeffery Glenn Parrett was born Saturday, December 21, 1935, at Cherryville, Mo., a son of the late Elbert L. Parrett and Myrna Parrett (nee Petty). He entered eternal life Thursday, October 25, 2001, at his home in Cherryville, at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 4 days.
Master Sergeant (Retired) Parrett retired from the United States Air Force after an illustrious twenty-two year career. His specialty and title was Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent, Trainer Supervisor with 57th Field Maintenance Squadron (TAC). He spent the next eighteen years working for the United States Postal Service in Las Vegas, Nevada before he retired to pursue his love for life in 1995.
He was loved and is mourned by his beloved wife Florence Parrett of the home in Cherryville, Mo.; their children, Kenneth Parrett and wife Judy of Jackson, Mo., Pauline Crews of Rolla, Mo., Kevin Parrett and wife Sheila of Pennsylvania, Dwight Parrett and wife Dorothy and Steven Parrett, all of Maine, Michael Jose and wife Tiffany, Bryan Gregory and wife Kendra, and Elizabeth Brown, all of Denver, Colorado, Mark Anthony and wife Stephanie of Washington, Robert Jose of Oregon, Virginia and husband Mark Peterson of Nevada, Diana and husband Bruce Brown of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Brother and brother-in-law of Paul and Freda Parrett of Nashville, Tennessee, Carl and Kathy Parrett of Salem, Mo., Lonnie and Cheryl Parrett of St. Louis, Mo., Ruby and Clinton Hewkins, Norma and Jim Smith, all of Salem, Mo., and Lillian Parrett of Oklahoma; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and countless friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and James (infant) Parrett.
Jeffery Glenn Parrett lay in state 3-8 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2001, at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2001 at the First Baptist Church, Cherryville, Mo. with Rev. Harry White officiating.
Committal prayers and interment were in First Baptist Cemetery, Cherryville, Mo. Full military honors and pallbearers were provided by Air Force personnel from Whiteman Air Force Base, Knob Noster, Mo.
Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo.
