Nadine Huddleston
Nadine Huddleston was born the daughter of Homer Johnson and Sarah Gaither Johnson on May 7, 1932, in Sidney, Ark., and departed this life April 17, 2007, in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 74 years.
She was united in marriage May 28, 1954, in Thayer, Mo., to Dale Huddleston.
She is survived by her husband, Dale, of the family home near Thayer; on son, David Huddleston, West Plains, Mo.; three daughters, Becky Allison, Little Rock, Ark., Carmen Seal, Siloam Springs, Ark., and Marcella McNiel, Ozark, Mo.; six grandchildren, Jeffrey and Christopher Allison, Bentley and Micah Seal, and Bryce and Kelsey Huddleston; two sisters, Alma Billingsley, Cave City, Ark., and Verna Stallcup, Rector, Ark.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Garland Johnson; six sisters, Anna Comer, Myrtle Compton, Viola Johnson, Georgia Meeks, Selma Hockett and Jean Clark.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Thayer, serving many years as a Sunday school teacher.
She was an educator, teaching both junior high and high school in the Thayer School District for many years.
She was an avid reader, a devoted homemaker, a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.
She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2007, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer.
Burial will be in Redburn Cemetery at Rover.

David Freeman
David J. Freeman entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 26, 2007.
He was the dear husband of Peggy Freeman (nee Shaw); beloved father of Linda (Mark) Rechtiene and Bob (Pam) Freeman; loving grandfather of Matthew Rechtiene, Sara Conyers, Ted and Sam Freeman.
Dave was a man of abundant interests and a curious thinker. “Answers prompt more questions.”
Services 11 a.m. Monday, April 30, at Buchholz Valley of Flowers Mortuary, 619 Rue St. Francois St. Interment St. Ferdinand Cemetery.
Visitation 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Jacky Stephenson
Jacky Lee Stephenson, 42, West Plains, died 12:42 a.m. May 15 at Barnes-Jewish in St. Louis.
He was born Feb. 23, 1965, in Germany to Verral Stephenson and Irma Weijk.
He is being cremated with no funeral service planned. The family is having a memorial dinner 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007, at 406 E. James St., Apt. 24, Mtn. View, Mo.
Friends and family are welcome to attend.
He is survived by his fiancee, Tracy Davis, of the family home; his son, Matthew Collins, Mtn. Grove; his mother, Irma Weijk, Mtn. Grove; one brother, Fred Stephenson, Cabool; one sister, Carol Sisk, S.C.; special daughter to him, Thelma Mingucci and husband, Mark, Mtn. View; several nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends; a special niece, Andrea Davis, Willow Springs; a special nephew, Dominick Mingucci, Mtn. View; and cousin, Angelica Taylor, Willow Springs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Verral Stephenson; his grandparents; and a special friend, Delbert Collins.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Lloyd Vickroy
Lloyd Vickroy, 79, Caulfield, Mo., died March 15, 2007.
A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2007, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, MO 65775.
Mr. Vickroy was born April 23, 1927, in Moline, Ill., the son of Charles and Thelma Boothe Vickroy.
He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II then the Air Force. He married Emma Noel Vickroy.
Lloyd was an electronics engineer.
He worked for the cities of Albuquerque, N.M., and Riverside, Calif.
He ended his long career working for Rockwell Corporation.
But Lloyd always wanted to be a farmer.
After his retirement in 1996, he moved to his farm in Missouri where he grew a big garden, fished in his lake, danced and played bingo.
Survivors include his daughter, Debra, Pasadena Calif.; son, Timothy, Racine, Wis.; daughter, Thelma, grandsons, Nicholas and Alexander Kirkpatrick, South Pasadena, Calif.; brothers, Roger, Sherrard, Ill., Ted, Moline, Ill., and George, Rock Island, Ill.
Also, his companion, Dorothy Sjoblom, Mtn. Home, Ark.; his many friends and loved ones in West Plains.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma, a sister and three brothers.
Kenny Pacheco
Funeral services for Kenny Pacheco, 51, Pottersville, Mo., will be 3 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2007, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Pacheco died 9:43 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 13, 1955, in San Jose, Calif., to Miguel and Concha Reynosa Pacheco.
He was the manager of Prima’s Mexican Grill in West Plains.
Kenny was one of a kind. He enjoyed life, loved being with his friends and could always put a smile on your face.
He enjoyed his work, music, 49ers football team, playing with his baby girl and being with all of his family.
Kenny will be greatly missed and was loved by all.
He is survived by his special friend, Lesa Hand, of the family home; two children, Anita Cardenas, husband, Javier, Visalia, Calif., and Sierra Rain Pacheco, of the family home; three grandchildren, Risa, Arthur and Kenneth; four brothers, Mike Pacheco, Joseph Pacheco and Larry Pacheco, Springfield, Mo., and Stanley Pacheco, Clever, Mo.; three sisters, Donna Jones, Tulare, Calif., Roberta Pacheco, Farmersville, Calif., and Barbara Pacheco, Visalia, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Leon Mageehon
Funeral services for Leon Mageehon, 87, West Plains, Mo., will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Ball Church of Christ under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Mageehon died 3:25 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2007, at Ozarks Medical Center. He was born July 25, 1919, at Dora, Mo., to Art and Melvina Croney Mageehon.
Leon served with the CCC Camps in Nevada and California.
On Dec. 30, 1939, he married Nova Shipley.
He and Nova gave birth to Patsy Mageehon on July 2, 1954. Leon worked at Cloud Oak Flooring in West Plains where he made many lasting friends.
He was baptized into the Church of Christ at Odom on Oct. 27, 1970.
He is survived by his wife, Nova; his daughter, Patsy Mageehon-Coen and son-in-law, Tom Coen, Cabool, Mo.; three granddaughters, Danielle, Mariah and Courtney Reed; three half-brothers, Les Collins, St. Joseph, Mo., Jim Collins, Ava, Mo., and G.W. Collins, St. Charles, Mo.
He also leaves behind numerous other relatives and friends.
His parents; a brother, Pearly; one half-brother, Lester Collins; one stepbrother, Leemon Collins; and two stepsisters, Ethel Collins Gunter and Beatrice Collins Gunter, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Ball Cemetery.

Joanna Adams
Graveside services for Jimmie Joanna Pruett Adams, 75, West Plains, Mo., will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at Amy Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Adams died 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, in West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born Sept. 2, 1931, in Hocomo, Mo., to John Vernon and Nannie May Fare Pruett.
She graduated from Bakersfield High School, Bakersfield, Mo., with the class of 1948.
In 1955, she was married to Lyle Taffar.
On Aug. 6, 1990, she was married to Robert Adams, who preceded her in death Dec. 6, 2005.
Mrs. Adams had been a telephone operator and was a seamstress, owning her own sewing service.
She was a Baptist and had attended the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, Gainesville, Mo.
She is survived by three children, Elaine Taffar and Leland Ray Taffar, wife, Penny, San Ingnacio, Belize, and Ralph Lee Taffar, wife, Cheryl, Harrison, Ark.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, William M. Pruett, wife, Greta, and Lonnie Pruett, West Plains, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, and one granddaughter precede her in death.
