Ben Joseph Lauricella of Kirkwood died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005.
Mr. Lauricella was the son of Janis and the late Anthony Lauricella; brother of Lisa (Doug) Stageman; uncle of Ashley and Tiffany Stageman; nephew of Orin Stark, Nola Hill, Glenda Capps, Frances (the late Frank) Loscuito and Vincent (Ruth) Lauricella; cousin of Karen (Bill) Ortmann, Matt (Lisa) Ortmann, Emmy (Tony) Walters, Amanda Ortmann, Vito Loscuito, Patty Loscuito, Michael (Louise) Lauricella, Donna (Al) Mullins, Paula (Dennis) Hastenstab, Carla Hunt and Elizabeth (Tom) Drury; dear friend of Irvin Hurt and a friend to many.

Mary F. Layton of Kirkwood died Wednesday, July 27, 2005.
Mrs. Layton was the mother of Glennon (Mary Jo) Layton, M. Timothy (Margo) Layton, Ann Rene Layton and the late Vincent J. Layton II; grandmother of Vincent J. Layton III; sister of Sarah Wells; aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Ruth Lorene Lederle (nee Langston), a longtime resident of Kirkwood died Sunday, April 17, 2005.
Mrs. Lederle was a member of St. Peter Parish in Kirkwood. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Lederle Sr.; mother of Thomas A. Lederle, Darlene S. (Royce) Payton and the late Joseph W. Lederle Jr. and Diana C. Palmer; grandmother of six; sister of Ruby Michelson and John Langston.

Charles Albert Lee Jr., formerly of Glendale died Good Friday, March 25, 2005. He was 86.
Mr. Lee was born April 18, 1918, in Lamar, Mo. He graduated from Webster Groves High School and Washington University Law School, and practiced law in St. Louis for 56 years before retiring in 2002.
Mr. Lee married Betty Roth on April 10, 1948, and served three years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Missouri Bar Association, National Parks Conservation Association, the Missouri Conservation Association and Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was a hunter, fisherman, conservationist, woodworker, vegetable gardener and tree farmer. His passion was his tree farm, Piney-Mo in Texas County, Mo.
Mr. Lee was the son of Dr. Charles and Inez Lee; husband of Betty; father of Suzanne Lee (Robert) Oaks, Janet Lee (Daniel) Brown and Alice Lee (Melvin) Gustin; grandfather of Bill and Rachel Oaks, Sarah and Jessica Brown, and Margo, Michael and Mary Gustin; great-grandfather of seven; brother of Lloyd L. Lee, Dr. Gerald B. Lee and the late Dr. Robert E. Lee.

Dorothy Cressman (nee Anderson), formerly a longtime resident of King of Prussia, Pa., died at Lutheran Convalescent Home in Webster Groves on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006. She was 101.
Mrs. Cressman was born Dec. 29, 1904, in Norristown, Pa. She was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Cassidy) Anderson of King of Prussia, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer D. Cressman Jr., in May of 1966. In 1993, she moved to Webster Groves to live with her daughter Joan.
Mrs. Cressman is survived by Joan A. Hood, Wilmer D. Cressman III and Kirk A. Cressman; grandchildren John (Valinda) Hood Jr., Kirk C. Hood, Laurie (James) Greer, Cynthia (Mario) Hood-Sylvandor, John Cressman, Andrew Cressman, Jeffery Cressman and Jennifer Cressman; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be private with interment in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be sent in her name to Lutheran Convalescent Home, 723 S. Laclede Station Road, Webster Groves, Mo. 63119. Lois M. Fulgham (nee Eveker) of Rock Hill died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006.
Mrs. Fulgham was the wife of the late Richard C. Fulgham; mother of Janet Fulgham, Peggy (David) Booker, Dan (Shane) Fulgham and the late Tom Fulgham; grandmother of Richard Westrich, Amy Thornhill, Angela Dodorico, Lindsey Wilkins and Mathew Fulgham; great-grandmother of Scott, Jacob, Tirzah, Ryan and Lea; sister of John (Clare) Eveker, Larry (Barb) Eveker and the late Dorothy Schmidt and Donald Eveker; sister-in-law of Donald Schmidt, Katie Eveker and George (Dorothy) Silvey; aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

Norma Jean Henderson (nee Schilling), a lifelong resident of Kirkwood died at home on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006.
Mrs. Henderson was a graduate of Kirkwood High School and Washington University, and earned a master's degree at Columbia Teachers College in New York City. She first taught history at Kirkwood High School until 1966, and later taught Advanced Placement American History at Ursuline Academy for 30 years.
She was a longtime member of the Kirkwood Garden Club, Grace Episcopal Church and the Kirkwood Alliance for Historical Preservation.
Mrs. Henderson was the daughter of the late Pauline Schilling of Webster Groves. She was the wife of the late Gordon Henderson, and is survived by her daughters, Alice Henderson of Vallejo, Calif., and Pauline Henderson of Fairfax, Calif.. She was the grandmother of Grace Hoagland and James Hoagland of Fairfax; sister of Warner Schilling of Leonia, N.J.
Her beloved corgi, Ffydd, will be moving to Texas to live with other corgi lovers.

Edward C. Rathmann of Webster Groves died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006. He was 71.
A graduate of CBC and Washington University School of Business, where he earned his BSBA in 1957, Mr. Rathmann spent his entire business career in the railway equipment industry.
He began his career with Magnus Metal Division (NL Industries) as a sales trainee, where he progressed to vice president of sales (1957-1975). He was the owner of Bear Enterprises, a sales agent dealing in locomotive replacement parts. A continuous member of Friends of Bill W. since 1975, Mr. Rathmann was a lifetime member of U.S.N.R. (Air) 1952-1964, serving in the Cuban Missile Crisis from 1961 to 1964; and past president of the Webster Groves Historical Society.
Mr. Rathmann was the husband of Darlene M. (nee Schamel) Rathmann; father of Christopher Allan (Denise), Robert Edward (Kathy) and Cynthia Ann Abercrombie; grandfather of Samuel O. Rathmann, Joseph Abercrombie and Zachary S. Werthington; brother of the late James Edward, Dennis T. (Karen), Michael P. (Rebecca) and Karen M. Flavin (James).
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, 10:30 a.m., at Gerber Chapel, 23 W. Lockwood Ave. in Webster Groves. Private interment, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Friends are invited to the History Barn (behind the Hawken House on South Rock Hill Road) after the service for refreshments.

Lt. John Walsh of the Crestwood Police Department, 60, died at his home Feb. 2, from a heart attack.
Lt. Walsh, a resident of Kirkwood, began his service in the early 1970's at the Webster Groves Police Department. He later left to work in the private sector. In 1987, he joined the Crestwood Police Department and was named Lt. in 1999.
The Crestwood Police Department lowered it's flag to half staff Feb. 3, in honor of Lt. Walsh. Fellow officers paid tribute to their colleague with an Irish wake at Malone's on Watson Road.
A spokesman for the Crestwood Police Department said Lt.Walsh had been in poor health for some time.
Services for Lt. Walsh were held Feb. 7 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary in Crestwood. Memorials and donations are asked to be made to St. Louis Backstoppers at the request of Lt. Walsh and his family.
Donnal F. Leisher of Glendale died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005.
Mr. Leisher was the husband of the late Elizabeth H. Leisher; father of Donnal (Mary) Leisher Jr. and the late William H. Leisher; grandfather of Peggy (Gray) Samenfink, Donnal Leisher III and Linda (Ruben) Vasquez; uncle and friend to many.

Carlida Lindahl (nee Kerth) of Kirkwood died Monday, Nov. 28, 2005.
Mrs. Lindahl was born July 13, 1908. Her parents were the proprietors of Kirkwood's first dry goods store, George Kerth and Sons Mercantile Co.
She treasured her family, and was a many-faceted artist who rejoiced in the many colors of her daily life.
Mrs. Lindahl was the wife of the late Hilding Andrew Lindahl; mother of Karin Lindahl and Mary Kerth Althage; grandmother of Andrew (Margaret) Althage and Matthew (Kimberly) Althage; sister-in-law of Jeanne Kerth; aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

Susannah Longmire of Webster Groves died Saturday, March 19, 2005. She was 53.
Ms. Longmire was the daughter of John M. and the late Sarah Ann Longmire; sister of John, Wylie and Tom (Maki) Longmire; cousin of Cid Roberts Young; and friend to many.
Funeral services were March 22, at Gerber Chapel in Webster Groves. Interment Forever Oak Hill Cemetery.
John H. "Jack" Lysell died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at his home in Kirkwood. He was 91.
Mr. Lysell was born Nov. 14, 1913. He and his family lived in Kirkwood for over 65 years. He was involved in his community, from school activities and scouting, to involvement in his church.
He was the husband of Virginia Blumeyer Lysell for 70 years; father of Mike (Patricia), Ginger (Bob) Mild, Pat (Carol), Terry (Martha), MaryAnn, Tim, Jean, Susan (Bob) Covey, Ellen (Jim) Summa and the late Steve; brother of Harry "Joe" (Bebe) and the late Betty Maull; grandfather of 21; great-grandfather to 25; brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, step grandfather, step greatgrandfather and friend to many.
