H. Frank Scott of Des Peres died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005.
Mr. Scott was traffic manager for Kroger St. Louis for 38 years. He was the husband of Dorothy Jane Scott (nee Heede).

Rudolph Charles Seibert Jr., D.D.S., a former longtime resident of Kirkwood died Saturday, March 26, 2005.
Dr. Seibert was born on Dec. 31, 1913, in St. Louis. He graduated from University City High School, and received a doctor of dental surgery degree from Washington University in 1938. On June 19, 1940, he married Joan Sturm.
Dr. Seibert served in World War II as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, and practiced general dentistry for over 30 years, until his retirement in 1980.
Dr. Seibert is survived by his wife, Joan; his children, Charles Michael (Dee) Seibert and Barbara Kim (Dan) Basler; two granddaughters, Michelle Hall and Susan Seibert; two great-grandsons; and three nephews, William Seibert Jr., Jim Seibert and Jack Seibert. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Seibert.

Bettie L. Sheahan (nee Wood) of Kirkwood died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005. She was 77.
Mrs. Sheahan was the wife of Andrew Sheahan; mother of A. Patrick Sheahan, Lynn Sheahan, R. Michael Sheahan, Laurie (Mark) Turkcan and Cynthia (James) Kennedy; grandmother of Andrew, Ashley and Ross Sheahan, Daniel and Adam Sheahan, Kate and Kevin Turkcan, Christopher, Matthew, Brian and the late Patrick Kennedy; sister of Beverly Brown and William Wood; mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many.

Katherine Siegmund of Webster Groves died Tuesday, July 12, 2005. She was 90.
Mrs. Siegmund graduated from Webster Groves High School in 1931 and from Washington University in 1935. She married Oliver F. Siegmund on May 18, 1940, and spent most of the next 22 years raising two sons.
At the age of 50 she returned to school at Webster University, where she earned a lifetime certificate in teaching English and a master of arts in teaching.
For more than 20 years, she and her husband participated in the program of Home Hospitality for International Students at Washington University. They made a home away from home for students from France, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Somalia, Taiwan and Thailand. Several of these students became lifelong friends.
Mrs. Siegmund and her husband joined the Peace Corps in 1982, when she was 68, and spent one year in Suva, Fiji, where she taught English, he mathematics at the University of the South Pacific. She had a lifetime interest in gardening, and regularly brought flowers to the library at Webster University. She also volunteered at the Missouri Botanical Garden. She said that her ambition was to be "a kind and helpful person."
Mrs. Siegmund is survived by her husband of 65 years; a brother, F. Lyman Lewis; two sons, Don and David; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. There will be no memorial service. Mrs. Siegmund's body was donated to Washington University Medical School.
Rebecca "Becky" Singleton of Webster Groves died Monday, May 23, 2005.
Mrs. Singleton was born in Oklahoma City on Nov. 19, 1921, to Herbert S. and Beulah M. (Wakefield) Caldwell. After graduating from Central High School, she attended Southwestern University of Georgetown, Texas, before meeting her husband of approximately 60 years, Royce A. Singleton of Duncan, Okla., who preceded her in death in April 2002.
While Mr. Singleton served in the Navy for 30 years, his wife became a devoted military wife and mother of six children. She raised a diverse group of kids, many times holding down the fort for long periods while her husband represented the United States in World War II, Korea and at times of peace.
After Mr. Singleton's retirement, they lived in El Paso, Texas; Edmond, Okla.; and Bella Vista, Ark., before finally settling in Webster Groves where they lived near their two daughters for the last few years.
Mrs. Singleton is survived by her sister Virginia, of Overland Park, Kan.; in-laws Sandy and Lila Singleton of Edmond, Okla., and Leslie Harrison of Oklahoma City; son Royce Jr. and wife Nancy of Holden, Mass.; son Ted of Ocala, Fla.; daughter Virginia of Grand Prairie, Texas; daughter Kathleen and husband Larry Schmidt of Webster Groves; son Charles (Chuck) of Jacksonville, Fla.; and son Jeffrey and wife Brigid Murphy of Tucson, Ariz. Her grandchildren are Robert (Rob) Singleton and Katherine (Kate) Singleton Blehar, Rachel, Jonathan, and Sarah Szarzynski, and Lara and Heather Schmidt.
Memorial services were held in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Saturday May 28. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local hospice, or the Alzheimer's Association, 1236 Ginger Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va. 23456.
Robert Benson Skinner III of Eureka died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005.
Robert was the cherished baby boy of Robert and Sarah (nee Schoenhard) Skinner; grandson of Bill and Kate Schoenhard and Rev. Susan C. and the late Rev. Robert Skinner, former pastors of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Webster Groves; nephew of Tom Schoenhard.
Services were private at Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Arrangements by Gerber Chapel.
Marilyn E. Soete (nee Swederska) of Kirkwood died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005.
Mrs. Soete was the wife of the late William L. Soete; mother of Becky (Paul) Schmitz, Dawn (Chris) Narup, Brenda (Ed) Robertson, Aimee Soete and Eric Soete; daughter of Viola Swederska and the late Henry Swederska; stepmother of William "Bill" (Mischki) Soete Jr. and Mark (Debra) Soete; grandmother, sister and friend to many.
Funeral services were held Jan. 24, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Manchester. Interment, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the family to go toward funeral expenses.
William G. "Bill" Spencer of Kirkwood died Thursday, April 14, 2005. He was 91.
Mr. Spencer was the original owner of Spencer's Grill in Kirkwood. He was an active member, trustee, president of the board, longtime Sunday school teacher and president of the Men's Club of Kirkwood United Methodist Church; past president of the Kirkwood Chamber of Commerce; Kirkwood Man of the Year; past president of the Kirkwood Lions Club; recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow Award; and a decorated World War II veteran.
Mr. Spencer first opened Spencer's Grill in 1941. When he was drafted for military service during World War II, he had to sell the restaurant. When he returned home in 1947, he reopened his business, and ran it until his retirement in 1974. Mr. Spencer was the guest of honor at his former restaurant on April 26, 2003, for a surprise 90th birthday party.
Mr. Spencer was the husband of Irene Spencer (nee Harlow); father of James C. (Susan) Spencer; grandfather of Stephanie and Ryan Spencer; brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.

Helen E. Steed (nee Ketchum), a longtime resident of Rock Hill died Sunday, March 13, 2005. She was 89.
Mrs. Steed was the wife of the late Charles W. Steed; mother of Douglas Steed, Kathleen (Ned) Monsees and Dianne (Grenville) Sutcliffe; grandmother of 12; great-grandmother of seven; sister, sister-in-law and aunt.

Aurelia Steinbrueck of Webster Groves died Saturday, April 2, 2005. She was 87.
Mrs. Steinbrueck was baptized on June 25, 1917, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ellisville. She was a beautician. She and her husband Leo moved to Laclede Oaks Manor in Webster Groves in 1997.
Mrs. Steinbrueck sewed blankets and stuffed animals for children's charities. Known for her friendly and outgoing manner, she will be dearly missed by her family.
Mrs. Steinbrueck was the wife of Leo for 61 years; mother of Leon (Joann), Richard (Judith), Roger (Kathryn) and Kenneth (Kathryn) ; grandmother of David (Mary Liz), Randy (Lisa), Debra and Laurie (Dennis) Barnett, Paul (Jennifer), Mark (Sonja), Kurt (Melissa), Sean, Linda, Beth and Jan; sister of Elsie Ravens, Vernon and Elmer; great-grandmother of eleven. She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas; her parents, Gottleib and Anna (nee Jacob) Fick; a sister, Fern Hoch; her brothers, Lester and Herbert Fick; and her first husband, Wilfred Kroenning.

John A. Stevens, founder of Sterling Pen Company of Webster Groves, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, of cancer.
Mr. Stevens started the Sterling Pen Company in 1950. It operated in St. Louis and Richmond Heights, and continues to operate in Webster Groves. He also owned and operated a commercial real estate company, managing properties in St. Louis and St. Louis County.
Mr. Stevens was a 1944 graduate of Beaumont High School and a 1949 graduate of the Washington University School of Business. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II.
He maintained his passion for patriotic causes and civic and community matters throughout his lifetime. Most recently, he organized care boxes for troops in Iraq. Mr. Stevens had been involved in organizing his Washington University class's 50th and 55th reunions. He was an active member of the Theta Xi fraternity, participated in the organization of the Washington University chapter's 100th anniversary celebration, and maintained close ties with local Theta Xi alumni.
Mr. Stevens is survived by his wife of 53 years, Moir Brown Stevens; his children, Daniel B. (Maugie) Stevens, Amy M. (Robert) Sternberg, and Rosanne S. Horan; seven grandchildren, Anne Stevens, Robert, John and Diana Sternberg, and Jack, Amy and Scott Horan; and his sister, June R. Cosby.

Thomas W. "Bud" Stevens of Des Peres died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005.
Mr. Stevens was an automobile executive for 35 years, and co-founder of Yates-Stevens Ford in Kirkwood. Born July 18, 1921 in Cuba, Mo., he was a Marine veteran of World War II, spending four years in the South Pacific where he was twice decorated by the Navy and Marine Corps. He was an active member of his church and community, serving on the reception committee of the Moolah Temple for the Shriners Hospital for Children.
He also served as post commander of the Clayton American Legion 171, and was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Optimist Club, and the Kirkwood Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Stevens was the husband Norma M. Stevens (nee Reeves); father of Janet Stevens Young; grandfather of Angela (Richard) Roy and Howard Lee Young III; brother of Noble Pazniak; uncle and great-uncle.

Marilynn May Stobbs of Kirkwood died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005.
Mrs. Stobbs was a longtime employee of the City of Kirkwood. She was the wife of Thomas W. Stobbs III; mother of Sue (Don) Sturdevant, Bill (Sara) Stobbs, Tom (Lynna) Rice, Lucia (John) Cook, Nancy (Gene) Bell, Paul Stobbs and Georgia Stobbs; sister of David (Norma) May; grandmother, aunt and friend.
