Harold P. Hammann died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002.
Mr. Hammann was a member of Glendale Lutheran Church Fellowship Club; Washington University Alumni Club; the Marine Corps League Post St. Louis Detachment; VFW Post 3500; All Marine American Legion Post 206; Sergeants Club; Devil Dogs; 22nd Marines; and the Society for the Advancement of Management.
He was the husband of Anne F. Hammann (nee Noonan); father of Renee C. Hammann and Harold Paul Hammann II; grandfather of Christina Anna Marie O'Brien; brother of Sophie Glock and the late Warren and Christopher Hammann; brother-in-law of Theron Glock and Michael Noonan; uncle of Robert and James Glock, Kenneth and Christine Hammann, Keith Conradi, Barbara Anderson, Linda, Dale, Kenneth and Gary Gentsch.
A funeral service was held Nov. 21 at Glendale Lutheran Church. Interment, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to JCC Adult Day Services, 6 Millstone Campus Dr., Suite 300, 63146.
Dorothy E. Hannan (nee Norton) of Webster Groves and formerly of Kirkwood, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002.
Born in 1903 and second oldest of four children, Mrs. Hannan grew up in the Tower Grove area of St. Louis and enjoyed playing tennis as a child. She was a graduate of Miss Hickey's Secretarial School and went to work for Jas. B. Hill Insurance Agency as an executive secretary. She was married to her husband, Earl S. Hannan, for 70 years until his death in December of 1994.
Mrs. Hannan served on the Altar Guild at Grace Episcopal Church in Kirkwood and was active in the Kirkwood Garden Club. She had also been a Girl Scout leader.
Mrs. Hannan was the mother of Janet (Allen) Penniman; grandmother of Bradley A. (Kayleen) Penniman and Cynthia P. (Scott) Andrews; great-grandmother of Veronica and Allen Penniman and Hilary, Sarah and Claire Andrews; and a friend to many.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, 2 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 514 E. Argonne in Kirkwood. If desired, contributions are suggested to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements through Gerber Chapel.
Margie E. Hartmann, wife of Robert M. Hartmann, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001. She was 79.
Mrs. Hartmann was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood. She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughters Sandi Heidorn-Newman and Lucille (Don) Roth-Harbaugh; and a son, William R. (Susan) Hartmann. She was the grandmother of seven, and great grandmother of three.
Visitation was held on Thursday, Dec. 20, at Pfitzinger Funeral Home in Kirkwood. A funeral service was held on Friday, Dec. 21, at Concordia Lutheran Church. Internment was at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Concordia Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Robert M. Hartmann, a resident of Kirkwood, died Friday, May 31, 2002. He was 81.
Mr. Hartmann worked in the aircraft industry and was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood and American Legion Post #156.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandi Heidorn, Lucille (Don) Roth-Harbaugh; sons William R. (Susan) Hartmann; sisters Gertrude Greenwald, Ruth Gruenbaum and Norma Russell; brothers Fred (Evelyn) Hartmann, John (Irene) Hartmann and Richard (Jean) Hartmann; seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Mr. Hartmann was preceded in death by his wife, Margie E. Hartmann (nee Koch); a sister, Helen Farmer; and brothers August and Martin Hartmann.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 3, at Concordia. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Forrest E. Head died Monday, Oct. 7, 2002.
Mr. Head retired from Monsanto in 1978 after nearly 40 years of service. He was a member of Webster Groves Christian Church, Tuscan Lodge #360 AF&AM;, Kirkwood Hi-Twelve and the Instrument Society of America.
Mr. Head was the husband of Frances Head (nee Key); father of David (Etta) Head, Mary (Mark) Clyne and Betsy (Jim) Foster; grandfather of Karen and Bobby Clyne, Ginny, Maggie and Katie Foster.
Visitation and Masonic Service was held Thursday, Oct. 10, at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 11, 1 p.m. at Webster Groves Christian Church, 1320 W. Lockwood. Interment, Memorial Park Cemetery.

Paul Hegedus, a 25-year resident of Rock Hill, died of natural causes on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002. He was 105.
Mr. Hegedus was born in southern Hungary and immigrated to the United States with his parents and two brothers, John and Joe, at the turn of the twentieth century.
Mr. Hegedus spent many years living in the St. Louis area. He lived the last 25 years of his life in Rock Hill with his wife, Mary, until she retired to a nursing home three years ago. He continued to live alone, visited his wife weekly, shopped, cooked and was very active and self-sufficient until his death.
During his lifetime, Mr. Hegedus became a master tool and die maker. His real passion was his avocation as a musician and violinmaker. Memories of him entertaining visitors with his music and story telling will live forever with family and friends, who considered him 105 years "young."
Mr. Hegedus is survived by his wife of 76 years, Mary; daughters Mary Ann (James) Faeth of Warson Woods; Helen (Norman) Ullrich of Escondido, Calif.; grandfather of five, great grandfather of thirteen; uncle and great uncle.
Visitation and funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 30 at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood; interment, at Valhalla Cemetery.

Paul Andrew Hennerich III, Kirkwood native and longtime attorney for Eureka and other fire protection districts, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at Bethesda Dilworth Memorial Home after a battle with cancer. He was 61.
Mr. Hennerich, a resident of Kirkwood for 40 years, received a law degree in 1966 from Washington University, where he had graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1963. He began his career with a year in Belgium, helping with his wife to set up a tool-grinding factory. He then practiced law in Clayton and taught at Sanford Brown Business College in the early 1970s and was an attorney for the founders of Rockwood Bank in the early 1980s.
In 1978, he began practicing law in Eureka. His clients included the Eureka, Springdale, Antonio, Hillsboro, High Ridge and Rock Community (Arnold) fire protection districts. Mr. Hennerich served the districts until this year.
Mr. Hennerich was named honorary fire chief for Eureka on Wednesday, the day of his death. He received a commendation this year from the Jefferson County Fire Marshals Association for his work on BOCA (Building Officials and Code Administrators) codes.
Mr. Hennerich was a founding member of the Eureka Arts Council and was an active member of the Eureka Chamber of Commerce. He was named a board member of Pioneer Bank last year.
Mr. Hennerich also donated his time and skills to many people and was a proud godfather. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish.
Jane Hennerich, Mr. Hennerich's wife of 36 years, said, Mr. Hennerich was a good man who cared about people.
"He had a great laugh and he liked everyone, " Janie Hennerich said.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hennerich is survived by his sons, Paul Andrew Hennerich IV and John Hennerich, his grandson, Paul Andrew Hennerich V, an uncle, and a daughter-in-law.
Catheryne Rose Hert, (nee Robertson), died Sunday, July 7, 2002.
Mrs. Hert was the beloved wife of the late Arthur H. Hert; mother of Sylvia Levy and Phillip Hert; mother-in-law of Lois Hert; grandmother of Samuel (Kim) Levy, Felicia (Adam) Lueker, Joel (Amy) Levy, Alexia Hert and Carissa Hert; great-grandmother of four; sister, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.
Private services were held, with arrangements by Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood.
James J. Hessel of Kirkwood died on Monday, June 24, 2002.
Mr. Hessel owned a heating and cooling towers company. He was a Eucharistic minister and usher at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church.
He was husband to Darlene A. Hessel (nee Keyes); father to Chad Hessel, Todd Hessel (Chris), and Lisa Hessel; grandfather to Heather Holz, James, Jessica, Tim and Scott Hessel; brother to Francis Hessel (Mary), Ann Albers (Melvin) and the late Warren Hessel.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 28, at St. Gerard Majella Church, 1971 Doughterty Ferry Road, Kirkwood. Burial will be in Forever Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday at Bopp Chapel.
Marjorie L. Higbee (nee Radford), died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002.
Mrs. Higbee was a 1941 graduate of Webster Groves High School. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Webster Groves.
Mrs. Higbee was the wife of the late Charles M. Higbee; mother of Marilyn L. Higbee and Mary Jane Higbee; sister of Katherine Hughes, Eleanor Hagan, Virgina Rug and Horace "Bud" Radford; dear aunt, cousin and friend.
Visitation was to be held Thursday, Aug. 8, 4 to 8 p.m. at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road in Kirkwood. Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 9, 10 a.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Lockwood and Bompart in Webster Groves.
