Wynlow Ohlsen, of Kirkwood, died Thursday, April 11, 2002.
Mr. Ohlsen was born Nov. 2, 1925. In 1959, he founded a pharmaceutical company, The Key Company, and leaves behind a group of devoted employees.
Mr. Ohlsen was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Selma Ohlsen of Bradford Township in Minnesota; a daughter, Katie; and sister, Marion Slater.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter Betsy (Eugene) Makovec; and children Genny, Cecilia, Bonnie and Anthony; step-daughter Mandy Rinehart and family; sister Stella Merkouris; nieces and nephews, Val Slater, Peggy (Slater) Withee, Paul, John, Tim, Susan, Jerry Merkouris and Karin (Merkouris) Bohon.
A funeral service was held at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Michael R Parsons, age 52, passed away at his Kirkwood home on Monday, April 1, 2002, after a long battle with cancer.
In 1999, Mr. Parsons received his 25-year certificate from the Carpenter's District Council of St. Louis, Union Local 73. He was a member of Algabil-Freedom Lodge No. 636, A.F. & A.M. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sharon; his children, Eric (Tamara) Parsons, Kimberly (Timothy) Woodworth, Michelle Parsons, and Keith Parsons; his grandchildren, Alexis, Alizabeth and Alyssa Parsons, Madelyn and Charles Woodworth.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3, from 4 to 8 with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5, at noon, at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road. Interment will be at National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pathways Community Hospice, 270 Lamp & Lantern Village, Chesterfield, Mo., 63017.
Elsie C. "Ellie" Paschal, a Des Peres resident, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002.
Mrs. Paschal was retired from Stix Baer & Fuller Department Store, now Dillard's. She was the wife of the late Charles Paschal; aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt, sister-in-law and friend.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 28, at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood. Interment, Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Des Peres.
Dorothy Jane Paschen, 83, formerly of Webster Groves, died Saturday, May 18, 2002 in Dallas, Texas.
Mrs. Paschen is survived by her husband, Robert H. Paschen Jr. of Webster Groves; a son, Robert J. Paschen of Montgomery, Ala.; a daughter, Wendy J. Paschen of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters Leigh Copeland of Montgomery, Ala., and Sara Henry of Mobile, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews in Webster Groves and Birmingham, Ala.
Mrs. Paschen was preceded in death by her parents and her only sister, Ginny L. Mullins.
Services were held Wednesday, May 22, in Dallas, Texas.
Betsy M. Pearman, a Shrewsbury resident since 1954, passed away on April 10, 2002.
Mrs. Pearman was an administrative secretary in the Brentwood School system from 1966 to 1980 and an administrative secretary in the University City School system from 1960 to 1966.
She was the beloved wife of the late Harold W. Pearman; mother of John Pearman of Shrewsbury and Patricia Schwarz of Moreno Valley, Calif; mother-in-law of Ronald Schwarz of Moreno Valley, Calif; sister of Nan Oestreicher (Fred) of Shrewsbury and Julie Stewart (Alan) of Littleton, Colo.
Funeral services were held at the Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary at 6464 Chippewa. Interment was at Vahalla Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Marilyn S. Phelps, (nee Sinn), died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002.
Mrs. Phelps was an employment security representative for the state of Missouri. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Kirkwood.
Mrs. Phelps was the mother of Barbara Phelps Fillinger, Linda Phelps and Rick (Judy) Phelps; grandmother of Sarabeth and Andrew Fillinger and Emma Phelps; sister of Edverda Yesley, Corvin Sinn and the late Cleo Fullerton; cousin of Rose Brenning; dear cousin and aunt.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Grace Episcopal Church, 514 E. Argonne in Kirkwood.

Jane E. Quevreaux (nee Knippenberg), died Monday, May 6. Mrs. Quevreaux was a resident of Kirkwood and a former real estate agent and housewife.
She was the wife of the late George E. Quevreaux; dear mother of Fred W. Quevreaux (Joan; grandmother of Bob (Stephanie) and Mark Quevreaux, Julia (Geoff) Cooper; great-grandmother of Jack and Anne; dear mother-in-law and friend.
Her funeral will be Saturday, May 11, 11 a.m. from Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road in Kirkwood. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation at Bopp Friday, 4-8 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Heart Association.
Paul D. Quick of Crestwood died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at his residence.
Mr. Quick was a U.S. Army veteran and an avid stamp and coin collector. He enjoyed reading and helped organize a Library of Records for the St. Louis County Police before doing the same with AAA.
Mr. Quick was the son of the late Paul S. and Nellie R. (nee Hurtubise) Quick; beloved brother of Ruth (Jack) Durham; dear cousin and friend.
Services were held Friday, May 17, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery Chapel under the direction of Gerber Chapel of Webster Groves. Memorials may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
Edward T. Quigley Sr. died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002.
Mr. Quigley was a member of the White House Retreat League, Nocturnal Adoration Society, 1, 000 Men South, and had regularly attended Saturday morning Mass at St. Alphonsus Rock Church for over 50 years. He worked visitations for Gerber Chapel for over 20 years
Mr. Quigley was the husband of Dorothy (nee Cathcart); father of John J. (Joan), Daniel M. (Carla), Michael (Cindy) and the late Edward Quigley Jr.; grandfather of Carolyn, Timothy, Douglass, Erin, Kevin, Matthew, Charles, and Adam.
Visitation was held Monday, Sept. 9 at Gerber Chapel in Webster Groves. A funeral Mass was held Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Our Lady of Providence Church in Crestwood. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Masses preferred as memorials.

Mrs. Raether was the wife of Louis Raether; mother of Becky Scott, Jan Koerner and Elizabeth Leuchtman; grandmother of Sarah and Emily Scott, Lisa and Hilary Koerner and Daniel and Alexandra Leuchtman; sister of Carl Lund, Bonnie Olsen and Rita Englehardt; mother-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.
A memorial service was held Oct. 5 at Christ Lutheran Church in Webster Groves. A luncheon reception followed at Sunset Country club in Sunset Hills.
