Christine Rapp, a resident of Webster Groves for 45 years and then a resident of Bethesda Dilworth Memorial Home in Oakland for almost 11 years, died Sunday, March 31, 2002. She was 94 years old.
Mrs. Rapp was the dear wife of the late Homer Rapp; mother of Roberta (George) Bergen of Kirkwood; Christine (Jack) Baker of Houston, Texas; and grandmother of four.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 4, at Gerber Chapel. Interment at Bellefontaine Cemetery.

Clifford H. Rasmussen, a long time resident of Webster Groves, died Feb. 1, 2002, in Lynchburg, Va.
Mr. Rasmussen was born May 3, 1909, in northern Illinois. He moved to Chicago in the mid-1920s where he was graduated from Northwestern University School of Commerce in 1934. He was a life-long member of Delta Sigma Pi, a national business fraternity.
Mr. Rasmussen was vice-president and local manager of Safeco Insurance Companies where he was employed for 30 years. He retired from the company in 1974. He was a member of the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters.
He served as a city councilman in Webster Groves in the 1960s, and was a life member of the Kiwanis Club of Webster Groves. Mr. Rasmussen was a two-term president of the board of managers of the Webster Groves YMCA, serving during the construction of the present building on Lockwood. He was an active member of First Methodist Church of Webster Groves for over 50 years.
He is survived by his daughters Gail Pond (Mrs. T. Joseph Pond) of Lynchburg, Va., and Joan Rogers (Mrs. Bruce Rogers) of Sanibel, Fla. He is survived by four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Virginia "Gini" Regenstein (nee Schwieder) died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001.
She was the dear mother of John D. (Anne) Regenstein and Anna C. (Jonathan E.) Bratch; sister of Richard M. (Jonne) Schwieder; grandmother of Noah, Caleb and Emily; niece of Grace Schowe Schollmeyer and friend to many.
Ms. Regenstein started the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at Sanford-Brown College in Hazelwood, Mo.
Visitation was Sunday, Dec. 16, at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood. A memorial service was held Monday, Dec. 17, at First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood.

Beverly A. Reusch died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002. She was 61.
Mrs. Reusch was the wife of Arthur R. Reusch; mother of Debbie (Don) Kappauff and Art (Paula) Reusch; sister of Pat (Jack) Kohl; and daughter of Elva M. Faudi and James W. Coughlin.
Visitation and funeral services were held Dec. 11 at Forever Oak Hill at Pfitzinger in Kirkwood. Interment, National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Sue Bert, a longtime resident of the Glendale-Kirkwood area died suddenly in her sleep Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004.
Mrs. Bert touched the lives of all who knew her, and was always ready to help anyone at a moment's notice, which included babysitting her grandchildren and those of neighbors.
She helped the poor, sat by the bedside of and comforted the sick, cooked meals for the elderly and those in need.
Mrs. Bert graduated from Roosevelt High School in the city of St. Louis in 1961, and shortly thereafter married her high school sweetheart, Vince Bert. She dedicated her life to taking care of her husband and three children.
They moved to Glendale in 1965, where she was an active member of Glendale Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday school there for close to 15 years.
Mrs. Bert could always be seen in the halls of North Glendale School, where her three children attended. She was a Brownie, Girl Scout and Cadet leader, as well as a den mother for the Cub Scouts. She was active with her sons in the Boy Scouts.
Mrs. Bert was a master cook, gardener and seamstress. She sewed clothes for her own children as they were growing up and then began sewing for her grandchildren. She once sewed matching jumpers for all of the little girls where she attended church at The Evangelical Full Gospel Assembly.
She loved to entertain family, shop, attend Stages and Muny Opera performances, and above all, faithfully attended church with her husband Vince three times a week.
As her children began attending school full day, Mrs. Bert began taking classes at the local community college, then enrolled in Meramec Community College's School of Nursing. After graduating with her R.N. certification, she worked at Missouri Baptist Hospital and St. John's Hospital as a floor nurse. From there she took a position as head nurse of the I.C.U. at St. Louis County Hospital, then on to St. Louis Regional Hospital where she worked as the head nurse of the E.R.
It was while she was at Regional Hospital that she undertook a large project soliciting funding with city officials and the St. Louis Police Department to open a special sexual victims room for children to be taken to immediately upon their arrival at the hospital.
Mrs. Bert later completed her B.S.N. in nursing at Webster University, and worked as a nursing home administrator and as a case manager for an insurance company handling workman's compensation cases.
Mrs. Bert was the wife of Vince Bert; mother of Pamela, Douglas and Michael Bert; mother-in-law of Debbie and Holli; and grandmother of Madeline, Abigail, Jackson and Katherine Bert. She had three older sisters and a younger brother, and was an aunt, cousin, neighbor and friend.

Carl J. Hein, a longtime resident of Webster Groves died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004. He was 80 years old.
Mr. Hein and his wife Millie have been residents of Webster Groves for over 50 years. Mr. Hein was a tool and die maker for St. Louis Die Casting Company. He also owned his own company, Cycle City Eng. Corp, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served in World War II.
Mr. Hein is survived by his wife, Millie M. Hein (nee Dietz); three children, Donna Baranyai, Denise J. Hein and Tina L. Boss; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, the late Michael C. Hein.
Funeral services were held Sept. 13, at Annunciation Church, with interment at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Arrangements by John L. Ziegenhein and Sons South City Chapel.

Emma V. Richard died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002. She was 49.
Ms. Richard was a graduate of Kirkwood High School. At the time of her death, she was studying acting at Fontbonne University. She appeared in productions for Characters & Company Children's Theater, Fontbonne Black Box Theater and the Webster Groves Theater Guild.
Ms. Richard is survived by her parents, Robert W. and Joanne K. Tonn and two brothers, Robb and Bill Tonn. A memorial service was held Dec. 4 at the Black Box Theater; other memorial services pending.
Patricia Claire Riley, a resident of Webster Groves, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002.
Ms. Riley was a map maker for the U.S. Government for over 20 years. She is survived by her mother, Bernice.
Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Affton.
Timothy V. Rinehart of Webster Groves died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002. He was 41.
Mr. Rinehart was the husband of Donna L. Rinehart (nee Greenwood); father of Jessica and Jonathan Rinehart; son of Diana Edith Rinehart and the late Thomas James Rinehart; brother of Kathy Grebe and the late Christine Harre.
Funeral services were held at the New Kutis South County Chapel; interment, private.
