Kathleen Clarke Ring died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002 at St. Agnes Home for the Aged in Kirkwood. She was 99 years old.
Miss Ring taught in the St. Louis Public School District until her retirement in the 1980s. During the Depression, aware of the poverty of many of her students, she would prepare breakfast for them before school.
She wrote a book on the history of St. Louis. Although never published, she shared it with her students; it is now in the St. Louis Board of Education's audiovisual library.
Visitation and funeral Mass were held Sept. 25 at St. Agnes Home.

Kenneth L. Rissmann, of Des Peres, died Sunday, March 10, 2002. Mr. Rissmann was a past president and board member of Greenbriar Hills Country Club and the owner of Rissmann Graphic Arts Supply Company for 33 years.
Mr. Rissmann was the beloved husband of Joan C. Rissmann for 53 years; father of Connie Daly, Tom (Janet) Rissmann and Jan (John) Walter; Pop of Colin (Angie) and the late Christopher Daly; Suzanne and Shelley Rissmann and Jamie Jacobsmeyer, Sarah (Mike) Lawless and Nic Walter; grandfather of Austin, Brandon and Dominic; brother of Jeffrey B. (Trish) Rissmann; brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2 p.m. at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 1551 Bennett, Warson Woods. Interment private.
Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 1324 N. Rock Hill Road, 63124, or a charity of one's choice.
Miriam Frazier Robbins, long-time resident of Webster Groves, died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at the Lutheran Convalescent Home in Webster Groves. She was 90.
Ms. Robbins was born in New Madrid County, Mo. Her maternal grandfather, James D. Fox of St. Louis, was a chief justice of the Missouri Supreme Court and a candidate for Congress in 1910. Her father, James K. Robbins, served New Madrid County as both Treasurer and Tax Collector.
Ms. Robbins moved to the St. Louis area in the early 1920s. Shortly after WWII, she joined the staff of St. Louis University and was secretary to the Dean of Admissions. She retired in the 1960s, and was long active at Holy Redeemer Church in Webster Groves.
Ms. Robbins is survived by her sister, Josephine Zeis of Houston, Tx.; 27 nieces and nephews, including six she helped raise when their parents died: Andrew Lorenz of Palm Desert, Ca., Jack Lorenz of Alexandria, Va., Anne Sullivan of Des Peres, Mo., Mary Lorenz-Dettman of Durham, N.H., and David and Nancy Lorenz of Kansas City, Mo.
Ms. Robbins donated her body to the St. Louis University Medical School. The family requests that donations be made to the Jesuit Seminary Association.
Louis R. "Luke" Roth, former Webster Groves resident, died of cancer on Tuesday, February 26, 2002, in Des Moines, Iowa. He was 48.
Mr. Roth was past director of the Iowa Republican party, and served for six years as district director for U. S. Representative Greg Ganske. He was state campaign director for President George W. Bush during the 2000 presidential caucus in Iowa. At the time of his death, he was the manager of franchise development with Medicap Pharmacies Inc.
Mr. Roth was a member of the Rotary Cub and the board of education at St. Augustin's Catholic Church in Des Moines. He was a former Cub Scout leader, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He was a graduate of Princeton University, and had lived in Des Moines since 1979.
Mr. Roth is survived by his wife, Katie; a son, Luke; two daughters, Anne and Clare; and a sister, Sherry Roth Jones.
Interment was at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Frank L. Rouse, Sr., husband of Florence A. Rouse, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001. He was 81.
Mr. Rouse, Sr., an investigator by trade, was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Kirkwood, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Rouse is survived by his wife, Florence; daughters Nancy Tegtmeier, Sally Jansen and Joyce Rouse; a son, Frank Rouse, Jr.; and a sister, Mary Jane Rouse. He was preceded in death by a brother, the late George Rouse, Jr.
Visitation was held at Pfitzinger Funeral Home in Kirkwood on Wednesday, Dec. 26. A funeral service was held at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Thursday, Dec. 27. Internment was at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to SSM Hospice or Carmelite Monastery.
Kenneth T. Rusbarsky, a resident of High Ridge, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002.
Mr. Rusbarsky, who was born in Kirkwood, was the owner and operator of a delivery service. He also served in the Air Force.
Mr. Rusbarsky was the husband of Dawn Marie Hoffman Rusbarsky; father to Dustin Rusbarsky and Chelsey Rusbarsky; and brother to Richard, Laurence, Robert, Joseph, Madeline, Kathryn, Linda and Christine.
Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Affton.
David L. Sahrmann Jr. died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002.
Mr. Sahrmann was the son of David L. Sahrmann Sr. and the late Loretta (Artman) Sahrmann; brother of Elaine (Rick) Seipp, Tom (Anne) Sahrman, John "Jack" (Margo) Sahrmann and James "Jim" (Carol) Sahrmann; uncle of Craig (Carrie), Eric, Holly, Josh, Kelly, Kevin, Mark and John Sahrmann; cousin, friend and neighbor to many.
Visitation was held Thursday, Oct. 17, at Gerber Chapel in Webster Groves. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. at Ste. Genevieve du Bois Catholic Church, 1575 N. Woodlawn in Warson Woods. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery.

Charles "Charlie" W. Schneider Jr., founder of Kirkwood Glass Co., died Sunday, April 21, 2002, of a rare blood cancer. He was 78 and resided in Concord Village.
Mr. Schneider founded the company, 300 S. Kirkwood Road, in 1964. Kirkwood Glass is now run by his son, Charles Schneider III.
Mr. Schneider was a decorated World War II veteran of the Navy. He was a member of the Westborough Country Club and the St. Louis Backstoppers. He was a former member of the South Side Lions Club and the Kirkwood Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia (Ginny); his daughter, Carol Raleigh (Rick); a son, Charles W. Schneider III (Kathy); and daughters Joyce Knox (Warrick) and Laura Schneider. He is survived by a sister, Sharon Merli (Gus). Mr. Schneider had eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Ernest O. Schneiderhahn died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002.
Mr. Schneiderhahn was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and a member of the Legion of 1000 West.
He was the husband of Virginia Schneiderhahn (nee Pyle) for 63 years. He was preceded in death by his son, James.
Mr. Schneiderhahn was the father of Carol Shoults (Leonard), Lawrence (Mary Jane) and Thomas (Beth) Schneiderhahn; grandfather of Lisa (Greg) Mackey, Christine (Michael) Terry, Sharon (Michael) Prusaczyk, Brian Shoults, Gretchen (David) Winson, Mark Schneiderhahn and Clair Schneiderhahn; great-grandfather of Nathan, Ben and Emma Mackey, Grace Terry, Sam Prusaczyk, Hannah and Luke Winson; brother of Rosemary Bocklage; brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend of many.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 31, from Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood to St. Clement Catholic Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery.
Robert H. Schrader, a resident of Glendale, died Monday, April 29. Mr. Schrader was 76.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, and five children: Karen (John) Fisham, Nancy Stocker, Steven Schrader, Richard Schrader and John (Barbara) Schrader. He was the brother of Connie Hickey, Albert and Tom Schrader, and the late James Schrader. He had eight grandchildren.
Mr. Schrader worked as an insurance loss engineer.
Visitation was Thursday, May 2, 4 to 8 p.m., at Pfitzinger Funeral Home, 366 S. Kirkwood Road in Kirkwood. Funeral prayers on Friday, May 3, at Pfitzingers then on to Mary Queen of Peace in Webster Groves for a Mass. Interment is at the National Cemetery.
