Dear son of the late Margery Hegel Stumpf and the late Otto Joseph Stumpf, Sr.; dear brother of Stuart Jon Stumpf (Pamela Young), Susan Van Biersel (Thomas Pierre), Stephanie McCutcheon (Jay Colt) and the late Otto Joseph Stumpf, Jr.; dear uncle of Christen and Amanda Stumpf, Alexandre Van Biersel, Bethany Hegel, Shannon Raimondo (Donald), Tracy (Brad Elmer) and Colt (Joey) McCutcheon.
Jimmy was a special person. While he was mentally retarded, he encouraged us all to appreciate the breadth of our functions and he made it clear to us that we should contribute and maximize our contributions to others. He shared that it was our responsibility to have patience and invest in those who are not as endowed as we.
Services: A Mass celebrating his life will be offered by the Reverend Thomas Molini at Saint Gerard Majella Catholic Church, 2005 Dougherty Ferry Road, Kirkwood, Missouri, on May 10 at 11 a.m. The family will welcome guest at the church from 10:30 – 11 a.m.

Ragan, Ara D. Lynch gone to be with the Lord, on Friday, May 2, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Roy Ragan and the late Amos Lynch; dear step-mother of David Lynch, Faye Yates, Joy Sexton, Judy Hall and Phyllis Wicker; our dear aunt. Ara was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Services: Visitation Monday, May 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at BOPP Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood. Private interment in Harpeth Hills Cemetery, Nashville, TN.

Roy G. Brown
Brown, Roy G., 84, April 8, 2008, married Nancy Young March 3, 1946, son of George and Blanche (deceased), father of William (Bill), Carol Whitfield, and David, and grandfather of 9. Roy recently returned to the Kirkwood, MO area where from 1960 to 1981 he had been a Sales Manager for Ohio Brass Company and active member and President at Greenbriar Hills Country Club. In 1981 Roy and Nancy moved from Kirkwood to Mansfield, OH to become VP of Sales at Ohio Brass Company (now part of Hubbell Power Systems) . While in Mansfield, Roy was extremely active in the community and church.
Roy was a graduate Mechanical Engineer from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ and was a life member of the IEEE. During WWII, Roy served proudly wit the U.S. Army Signal Corps in the Pacific Theatre including New Guinea, the Philippines, and Japan.
Memorial service Saturday, April 12, 2:00pm at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood. Visitation Saturday 1-2pm.

Yilmaz C. Bilsel
Bilsel, Yilmaz C. of Huntleigh, Missouri, died on Monday, April 7, 2008 at the age of 81. Dear son of the late Sabri and Makbule Bilsel; beloved husband of Zeliha Bilsel; cherished father of Deniz Eubank and Kurt Bilsel; dearest brother to Solmaz Guler; loving grandfather of Olivia Eubank.
He was a doctor of internal medicine for 55 years. He graduated from Istanbul University and completed his residency at City Hospital in St. Louis. Prior to retirement, he practiced at Memorial and St. Elizabeth’s hospitals in Belleville. He touched many lives and healing was his mission. He will be missed.

Carr, Merrie V. (nee Jones) peacefully on Wednesday April 9, 2008. Beloved wife for 55 years of L. Blaine Carr; loving mother of Kim (Linda) Carr, Dan Carr, and Mary Jones; dear grandmother of Erica and Danielle Carr, and Bonnie Jones; sister of the late Bonnie Schottmueller and the late Arthur C. (Gloria) Jones.
Merrie was an accomplished Artist and Painter, and a member of the St. Louis Artist Association.

John Francis McCarthy
McCarthy, John Francis died of heart failure on April 5th, 2008 (8 days before his 74th birthday) . John was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Blind McCarthy and older brother George M. McCarthy. He is survived by Edward and Joan Blind and grandchildren Patrick, Elizabeth, and Katie of Chesapeake, VA, Michael and Anne Blind and grandsons, Michael and Matthew of Kirkwood, MO. John leaves two brothers, Rev. Terrence A. McCarthy of Immaculate Conception Parish, Highland Park, IL, and Martin J. (Kathleen) McCarthy of Crown Point, IN, and a sister-in-law Doris McCarthy of Highland, IL, along with numerous nieces and nephews, and his dear friend Rita Springer of St. Louis, MO.
John will be remembered as a dedicated teacher; swim, tennis, and football coach as a Brother of Mary at Chaminade College Prep and St. Mary's High School for many years. In recent years John worked closely with Brother Mel Meyer at the Marianist Art Gallery in Kirkwood, MO. John has donated his body to St. Louis University Medical School.
Services: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter Catholic Church, 243 W. Argonne, Kirkwood, MO at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 11th. Family will be greeting friends at 6:00 p.m., prior to the service. Arrangements by BOPP CHAPEL.
