Debra married Stanley Huffman of Warren, Ohio, in August of 1992. During their married years, the couple lived and worked in Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio, residing in Missouri for the last five years. They had three children, Anna, 19, Evan, 18, and Keira, 10.
With her husband, she enjoyed tending to their lovely garden. More predominantly, she devoted her time to raising three wonderful children. Every night while her children were growing up, she read books like the Harry Potter series, My Penguin Osbert, and countless others, bringing each character to life with the unique voices she created. Generous with her time and affection, her dedication to her children, the neighborhoods she lived in, and the community she built demonstrated her unrelenting kindness and compassion. Debra excelled as a homemaker with boundless energy; her cooking was legendary among neighbors and friends and her homemade cards and flower arrangements were enjoyed by many. Debra will be missed by all who knew her.
The visitation will be held at Bopp Chapel on Saturday June 18th from 2pm-5pm. Family and friends are welcome. A private service will take place prior. The family asks that donations be made to the Amyloidosis Foundation or Missouri Botanical Gardens.
