Harry was born in Buffalo, New York, son of the late Thomas and Ruth Osborn. St. Louis became his home in 1965. For those who knew Harry, his deep love for his wife was immediately apparent. His ideal day would have started with breakfast with his brothers, a walk with his dogs, tinkering with his Lionel trains, an afternoon on the beach in Grand Haven, Michigan, listening to Bob Dylan, with a cold Busch beer in one hand and his wife’s in the other, watching the sun fade into the water, creating a million sparkles on the waves.
Harry had a deep commitment to his profession of over thirty years. He took tremendous pride in his accomplishments and felt very lucky to be blessed with a great career working with so many wonderful people. As an Air Force veteran, Harry had a deep love for his country, community, and the history of both.
Although his time with us was cut short, his impact on our lives will carry on forever.
In the words of General George S. Patton Jr, “It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.”
