Survivors include: her daughters, Carolyn Torrey of Jackson, Shirley Williams and husband James, Regina Torrey and Cathy Brown, all of Canton; her sons, Milton Torrey and wife Helen of Crystal Springs, Christopher Torrey and wife Dijuana K. of Memphis, Andrew Brown of Canton and Randy Torrey and wife Melissa of Indianapolis; brothers, Edward Griffin and wife Ceda of Evansville, Ind., L.C. Griffin and wife Regina of Canton, Otis Burns and wife Mary Ann of Detroit, J.Q. Brown and wife Cynthia of Byram.
Lidia G. Hernandez
San Antonio, Texas, died Dec. 24, 2003, following a stroke and a battle with cancer.
Funeral Mass was held Dec. 30 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in San Antonio, with burial in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Bonifacio A. Hernandez; two sons, Bonifacio Hernandez Jr. and wife Suzanne of Coronado, Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Funeral services were held Dec. 31 at Breeland Funeral Home Chapel in Canton with burial in Canton Cemetery.
