Myrtis Bell, 92, of Lena died Nov. 28, 2003.
Funeral services were held Dec. 1 at Lena Baptist Church with burial in McDonald Cemetery.
Survivors include: his daughter, Peggy Adams and husband Bob of Hamilton, Mo.; his son, Joe Bell and wife Shirley of Lena; sisters, Vivian Hendrix and husband Jack of Madison, Elaine Maxwell of Madison and Amelia Martin of Houston,Texas; grandchildren, Phillip Gunn of Clinton, Timothy Winstead of Madison, Scott Bell of Pearl and Matt Bell of Lena; and five great-grandchildren, Meredith Gunn, Andrew Gunn, Alex Gunn, John David Gunn and Bryce Winstead.

Mary Belle Smith, 88, of Canton, died Dec. 2, 2003, at Madison County Nursing Home in Canton.
Graveside services were held Dec. 4 at Canton Cemetery.
Survivors include: her husband, Albert L. Smith Jr. of Canton; daughter, Anne S. Haley and husband Charles W. of Canton; grandchildren, Christopher Haley and wife Leianne, Michael Haley and wife Amy, Jason Haley and wife Polly; and three great-grandchildren.

Mary Shelton Hawkins

Mary Shelton Hawkins, 91, of Madison died Nov. 19, 2003, at St. Catherine's Village.
Funeral service were held Nov. 23 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland with burial in Shelton Cemetery near Copiah County.
Survivors include: her brother, Simmons Shelton of Jackson; sister, Nell Shelton Loper of Madison; and 15 nephews and nieces.
