Services were July 30 in the chapel of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Burial was in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Neill and Margaret Stewart of Tupelo; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Mike Harris of Maryville, Tenn., and Barbara and Robert Gaston of Prattville, Ala.; grandchildren, Jennifer S. Mize and Shea Stewart, Sarah, Adam and Emily Harris, and Charlie and Eddie Gaston.

Claude Jackson, 92, of Jackson, died July 16, 2003, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Services were July 18 at the Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home chapel in Ridgeland, followed by burial in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Laneita and Earl McDaniel of Pickens; granddaughter, Rita Burr and husband Ray of Brandon; great-grandson, Darrell Odom and wife Britton of Ridgeland; granddaughter, Susie Tatum of Jackson; great-granddaughter, Autumn Tatum of Jackson; and a special friend, Carrie Barlow of Jackson.

Mary Oden Davis, 81, of Jackson died July 25, 2003, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Services were July 26 at St. Philip's Episcopal Church with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park. Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three sons, the Rev. Zabron Alfred Davis III and wife Cathy of Natchez, Russell Alan Davis and wife Chellie of Bristol, Va., and Kevin Dale Davis and wife Leslie of Beaverton, Ore.; grandchildren, Zabe Davis of Sardis, Matt Davis of Natchez, Rad, Jonathan and Stephen Davis, all of Bristol, Va., and Alison and Zachary Davis, both of Beaverton, Ore.; two brothers, Robert Oden of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Dale Oden of Ruston, La.; a sister, Becky Bebe of Picayune; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were July 31 at Crossgates United Methodist Church in Brandon with burial in Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland.

Gough of Brandon; son, John Evans Gough Jr. of Madison and fiancee Kristen Nicole Burgess; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Shelley Gough of Brandon; grandson, Tanner Hagan Gough of Brandon; brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Susie Gough of Lithia, Fla.; nephews, Michael Gough of Sarasota, Fla., and Thomas Gough of Brandon, Fla.; and a niece, Jennifer Gough of Brandon, Fla.

Survivors include: daughters, Andria West of Madison, Carol Weeks of Clinton and Gayle Sumrall and husband Roy of Clinton; brother, Hugo Bond of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters, Dora Miles, Edwina Fairley and Jeanette Rath, all of Wiggins; grandsons, Mike Hawthorne of Jackson, Joe Brasfield of Polkville, Jason Sumrall and Jeromy Sumrall, both of Clinton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Edna Patricia Smith Whittington, 52, of Gluckstadt died July 27, 2003, at the University Medical Center Bone Marrow Transplant Unit in Jackson.
Graveside services were held July 29 at Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery in Madison.
Survivors include: her husband, Ossie L. Whittington of Gluckstadt; two daughters, Baraka Whittington Perez and husband Anthony of Harvey, La., and Deirdre Whittington of Gluckstadt; grandson, Jordan Whittington of Gluckstadt; mother, Darnell Smith of Carthage; two sisters, Gloria Smith Wilder and Debra Smith Casey, both of Carthage; and a number of nieces and nephews.
