Funeral services were held May 9 at Canton Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include: his son, John Edward Rowland of Canton; brother, R.J. Rowland of Benton; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

George O. Wootton

George O. Wootton, 81, of Jackson died April 18, 2003, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held April 21 at Broadmoor Baptist Church with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Survivors include: his wife of 56 years, Elsie Murphy Wootton of Jackson; sons, Mike Wootton and wife Susan of Brandon, and Mark Wootton and wife Amanda of Ridgeland; daughter, Patty Smith and husband Clyde of Madison; five grandchildren, Heather Williams, Josh Wootton, Chad Smith, Drew Smith and Hannah Wootton; and one great-granddaughter, Mattie Claire Williams.
Memorials may be made to the Recreation Ministry of Broadmoor Baptist Church, 1531 Highland Colony Parkway, Madison MS 39110.

Betty J. Boutwell, 60, of Ridgeland died April 20, 2003, at her home.
Funeral services were held April 22 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland with burial in Natchez Trace Memorial Park.
Survivors include: her husband, Bill Boutwell of Ridgeland; daughters, Cindy J. Smith and husband Rusty of Ridgeland, and Stephanie Roberts of Brandon; sisters, Meg Hammack of Ocean Springs and Rhonda Jones of Ridgeland; brothers, Sonny Reddoch of Florence, Larry Reddoch of Biloxi and Jerry Reddoch of Waynesboro.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Eden Smith, Colby Smith, Hunter Roberts and Dawson Roberts, and special cousins, Mavis Kerr of Columbus, Tommy Bounds of Newton and Carolyn Ray of Ootewaha, Tenn.
