Hannah I. Schmidt, 81, of Gluckstadt died Jan. 27, 2003, at the Home Place in Madison.
Funeral services were held Feb. 5 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gluckstadt with burial in the church cemetery. Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland handled arrangements.
Survivors include: daughters, Judith Lynn Hutchinson and husband Ron, and Emaly Jane Tucker and husband Bill, all of Gluckstadt; grandchildren, Patrick Grower, Ann Ruth Tucker, Lee Hutchinson and Ellen Hutchinson, all of Gluckstadt; sisters, Celeste Richard of Brobridge, La., and Ruby Gass of Laurel; and brothers, Jay Ishee of Stringer and Bernell Ishee of Mt. Olive.

Sonia Speir Haydu, 37, of Brandon died Feb. 2, 2003, at her sister's home in Byram.
Services were held Feb. 4 at First Baptist Church in Brandon with burial in Glenwood Cemetery in Richland.
Survivors include: husband, George K. Haydu III of Brandon; sons, Walter Jerald Shaw III and Dylan Bailey Shaw, both of Brandon; mother, Rosemary Speir of Clinton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nita and Phillip Blankenship of Birmingham, Linda and Don Barker of Madison, Marsha and Lamar Pickard, and Patsy and Kirby Brewer, all of Hazlehurst, and Brenda and Garry Moran of Byram.

James Dansby Wall, 80, of Woodstock, Ga., and formerly of Canton, died Jan. 11, 2003, at his home.
Graveside services will be held Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. at the Canton City Cemetery. The Rev. Andrew Hoffecker will officiate.
Survivors include: wife, Marilyn Wiggins Wall of Woodstock, Ga.; son, Danny Wall and wife Pam of Roswell, Ga.; daughter, Kathi Fly and husband Gregg of Woodstock, Ga.; grandchildren, Charlie Wall, Lora Wall, Jenny Phillipoff, all of Roswell, Ga., Jacqueline Smith and husband Abe of Birmingham, Bryan Fly, Kelly Fly and Ben Fly, all of Woodstock, Ga.

Edward Earl Allen, 81, of Ridgeland died Jan. 23, 2003, at his residence.
Funeral services were held Jan. 25 at First Baptist Church in Ridgeland. Nowell-Flippin Funeral Home of Ridgeland handled arrangements.
Survivors include: wife, Dr. Frances Allen of Ridgeland; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Allen and Joy of McKinney, Indianapolis, Ind., Jennifer Pickett and husband Lee of Richland, and Chelsea Allen and Channing Allen, both of McKinney, Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were held Jan. 29 at Breeland Funeral Home Chapel in Canton with burial in Canton Cemetery.
Survivors include: sons, Ricky McNeer of Jackson and Rodney McNeer of Sandhill; daughters, Kathy Smith of Gluckstadt and Cindy Gregory of Meridian; brothers, Edward Hill and Hillmon Hill, both of Gilchrist, Oregon; sisters, Veda Graham of Stringer and Gladys Holland of Lucedale; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Lucille B. Jefferson, 87, of Madison, died Jan. 23, 2003, at Madison County Medical Center in Canton.
Funeral services were held Jan. 29 at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Madison with burial in Seymore Cemetery.
Survivors include: a grandson, a granddaughter and many adopted community families and friends.
