Eunice J. Culipher

Eunice J. Culipher, 86, of Canton, died Sept. 20 at the Central Louisiana and Betty Griffin of Texas, and worked for Quintana Petroleum Company for 30 years. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife, Margaret Walker, of Ridgeland; children Bill Walker, Cherry Turner and husband, Mike, Wendy Hebert and husband, David, Rochelle Jones and husband, Mitch, Bobby Powell and wife, Darlene, James Powell and wife, Suzanne, Frances Gauthreaux and Judy Fires; sisters Ruby Sanders and Barbara Kuenstler and husband, Carlton; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
JAMES AUSTIN 'SONNY' COOK
CANTON
James Austin "Sonny" Cook, 80, of Canton, died Oct. 17 at Madison County Medical Center. Services were Oct. 20 at First Presbyterian Church in Canton with burial in Canton Cemetery.
Mr. Cook was a native of and lifelong resident of Canton. He was a farmer and a retired manager of New Oil Mill Gin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in World War II. He and his wife, Dorothy, served as volunteers at Baptist Medical Center for 20 years. He attended Colo.; sister, Mary Harris; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to First Presbyterian Church, 202 E. Peace St., Canton MS 39046 or to Sight Foundation, c/o Lions of Washington, sons, James Berry, Theopha Berry; grandson, Lorrenza Johnson, and all of her siblings.
Survivors include: her daughters, Arleaf Taylor and husband Otis of Chicago, Ill., Birdean Mustafaa and husband Hakeem of Mississippi, Marilyn Berry and husband David of Chicago, Sherry Berry and husband James of Detroit, Mich.; her sons, Arthur Berry and wife Cynthia of Detroit, Robert Berry and wife Laura of Florida, Aubury Berry and wife Lillie of Chicago; son-in-law, Herman Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were held Sept. 14 at Mt. Zion Kirkwood Missionary Baptist Church in Camden with burial in the church cemetery.
Survivors include: her mother and father, Shonda Bullock and Walter Boyd, both of Pickens; sister, Nakhalia Triplett of Carthage; grandfathers, Will Bullock of Pickens and Walter Boyd of Chicago; grandmother, Mrs. Emma Bullock of Pickens; great-grandparents, L.Q. Boyd Jr. and wife Emma of Camden.
Willie Claudine Holmes
Canton
Willie Claudine Holmes, 70, of Canton, died Sept. 14, 2005, at River Region Health System in Vicksburg.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Holmes was born in Madison County to the late Jessie James and Jesse Juanita David Wiltcher. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Holmes, sons Jimmy and Steve Smith, and sister, Jane Nix.
Survivors include: her daughter, Paula Wimberly of Lipan, Texas, Sami Wimberly of Lipan, Texas; great-grandchildren, Brody Smith of Hazlehurst, Kristen Johnston and Benjamin Johnston of Pearl, Megan Ladner, Kaylin Ladner and Dylan Ladner of Wiggins.
