Josephine McKie Davis, 86, of Pickens, died Sept. 18, 2005, at Heritage House in Brandon.
Funeral services were held Sept. 21 at Pickens First United Methodist Church.

Guillaume 'Bill' Marchant
Madison
Guillaume Henri "Bill" Marchant, 82, of Madison, died Sept. 5, 2005, at St. Catherine's Village of Madison.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Marchant, a native of the Netherlands, had lived in the Metro Jackson area for over 60 years. He was a veteran of the Royal Dutch Air Force and was a pilot during World War II. He was the former president of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers. After retiring from United Gas Company he started his own business, MCM Systems.
Survivors include: his wife, Jacqueline Mullins Marchant of Madison; sister, Magdalena Ten Siethoff; and brother, Henri Louis Marchant, both of the Netherlands; sons, Eddy Marchant of Jackson, Doug Marchant of Memphis and Wim Marchant of Birmingham; grandchildren, Michelle, Trey, Melissa, Lauren, Meagan and Derrick Marchant; and great-grandchild, William "Wim" Vandiver.
Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were held Aug. 10 at St. James Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Payton was born May 25, 1941, to the late Johnny and Mary Lucy Williams of Canton. She was a member of Stokes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church before joining St. James M.B. Church.
Survivors include: her son, Stanley Williams and wife Nikki of District Height, Md.; nieces and nephews, she helped raise, Annie Pearl and husband Alvin of Rocky Mount, N.C., Vanessa Johnson and husband Roy of Canton, Clyde, Randy, Earl, Andra, Versal, all of Canton, Teresa of Jackson, Andrew of Dalton, Ga., Link Morrison and wife Anissa of Brandon, Tanya and husband Gregory of Pearl, Monica, Kizzy of Jackson, Eleto of Largo, Md., and Teresa Brown of Jackson; her sisters, Luebirtha, Jonnie Mae and husband Lorenzo, Corine, all of Canton, Atlene of Jackson, Rose of Yazoo City, and Stella and husband Roosevelt of Madison; brothers, Peter Williams of Carson City, Mississippi.
Survivors include: his grandmother, who raised him from a child, Catherine Norman of Carthage; his sisters, Kathy Eldridge and husband Larry of Jackson, and Baretta Shearrill of State College, Pa.; his brothers, Kenneth Shearrill and wife Ida of Bay Springs, Mich., Michael Shearrill and wife Mary of Jackson, Reuben Shearrill and wife LaTunda of Jackson and Keith Shearrill of Kansas City. Mo.; stepmother, Dorothy Shearill of Canton; an aunt, Bernadette Jenkins and husband Frank of Jackson; an uncle, Leo Norman of Carthage; sister-in-law, Bridgett Shearrill of Jackson; four nieces, three nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
