Larry "Burke" Stanford, 47, of Camden, died April 13, 2005, at his home.
Funeral services were held April 16 at ACH Memorial CME Church in Camden with burial in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Stanford attended Velma Jackson High School.
Survivors include: his sisters, Nancy Proctor and husband Jerome of Monroe, La., Mary Jane Jones and husband Henry of Canton, Arlena Smith of Mississippi. He was a member of the American Legion and an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canton.
Survivors include: his wife, Nancy Ruth Brown Koskovich of Yazoo City; his sons, R.J. Koskovich Jr.of Canton, David Koskovich of Lawrenceville, Ga.; his daughter, Patricia Rees of Clinton; stepsons, Brady G. Brown and Douglas H. Brown, both of Canton; stepdaughter, Reba Pepper of Yazoo City; brothers, Frank Koskovich of Wild Rose, Mich., Tom Koskovich of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were held April 9 at Greater Sims African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church with burial in Onisha Burks Memorial Cemetery in Canton.
Mr. Boyd attended school in Madison County. He retired from Challenger Electric after working 30 years. During his employment, he received honors such as Employee of the Year and Outstanding Line Supervisor.
Survivors include: his wife, Letha Boyd; daughters, Bernice Caldwell and Gladys Hughes of Madison and Barbara Sanders of Chicago, Ill.; sons, Ray Boyd and wife Rose of Benton Harbor, Mich., George Boyd and wife Sherry of Dowagiac, Mich., Wilbert Boyd Jr. of Canton, and Curby Boyd and wife Dannette; sister-in-law, Ruth Boyd of Jackson; 25 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Bernard Edwards
Pickens
Bernard Edwards, 42, of Pickens, died April 6, 2005.
Funeral services were held April 11 at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Pickens with burial in Bethel Cemetery in Pickens.
Mr. Edwards was born in Holmes County. He was a 1982 graduate of Durant Attendance Center. He served his country for 17 years in the United States Navy, where he earned respect and numerous awards as a 1st Class Petty Officer TM1. He was employed with Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
A memorial service was held April 8 in the chapel of Mark E. Seepe Funeral Home & Crematorium in Jackson.
Pettit, son of Ennis and Mary Shields Pettit, was born in Kosciusko. He was a 1969 graduate of Clinton High School and later attended the University of Mississippi in 1989.
Survivors include: his wife, Lula Harris Hilliard; his children, Ida Brenda Britt and Gladys Wilson; brothers, Jessie B. Hilliard and Cornelius Hilliard; sisters, Letha Jackson, Thelma Houston, Verna Mae Hilliard and Gertha Dixon; and grandchildren, Deshun Brown and Corey Wilson.
Lyndell Curtis Richards
Canton
Lyndell Curtis "L.C." Richards, 63, of Canton, died March 25, 2005.
Funeral services were held April 2 at Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Canton with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Richards, the eldest son of Mrs. Thelma Richards and the late Harry Richards Jr. attended the Canton Public School District. He was a member of Mt. Hope M.B. Church, where he served as trustee, deacon, Sunday school assistant superintendent and later superintendent. On March 19, 1975, Richards became a member of Anderson Lodge No. 9 F. & A.M. Prince Hall Affiliation Jurisdiction of Mississippi.
Survivors include: his wife of 33 years, Dorothy Richards of Canton; his mother, Thelma Richards of Canton; his sons, Anthony Richards and wife Cynthia of Charlotte, N.C., Lyndell Richards and wife Crystal of Los Angeles, Ohio, Tony Fisher of Madison, and Lanie Richards and wife Lucresia of Fort Braggs, N.C.; his daughters, Kimberly Ezell and husband Jackie of Toledo,Ohio, LaTonda Richards of Jackson and LaCheryl Richards of Canton; brothers, Harry Richards Jr. of Gary, Ind., and Roscoe Jones and wife Evelyn of Canton; mother-in-law, Melissa Brown of Canton; brothers-in-law, Tommie Brown and wife Michelle and Michael Brown, both of Canton; sisters-in-law, Barbara Newbill Sr., and husband Othell of Glendale, Ariz., Erma R. Brown and Dorothy Austin,both of Chicago,Ill.; uncles, George Hayes and wife Cybil of Chicago and James Luckett of Gary; aunt, Lessie Hayes of Maywood, Ill.; goddaughters, Jeanette Esco and husband Mark of Canton, Tongela Thomas and Shanetia Williams and husband LaRon, all of Jackson; and 33 grandchildren.
Christine S. Worthy

Christine S. Worthy, 81, of Canton, died March 27, 2005, at Madison County Medical Center in Canton.
Funeral services were held April 2 at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the Worthy Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Worthy, a homemaker, was a member of Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church.
Survivors include: her children, John Worthy, Bertha Catchings, Earnestine Worthy Fenelon, George Worthy, Percy Worthy of Canton; her sisters, Brooksie Zeal Zollicoffer, Clementine Smith and husband George and Tennie Ruth Love and husband James; her brothers, Will Smith and wife Mary of Milwaukee, Wisc., Eddie Smith and wife Lottie, Velport Warnsley and wife Annie Lou and Heywood Smith, all of Canton; aunt, Betty Salter of Miami, Fla.; special friends, Earnestine Tucker, Zenobia Wiggins, Leonia Johnson, Bessie Mae Lott; and 27 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
