Funeral services were held March 20 at Mt. Able Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Onisha Burks Memorial Cemetery in Canton.
Survivors include: her husband, Ronnie Lee Sims of Canton; daughters, Catrice Tillis, Tamekia Tillis, Lakeyshia Tillis and Kenya Tillis, all of Canton; nine grandchildren; sisters, Diane Branch, Mary Jackson and husband Jeffery, and Shirley Tillis; brothers, J.D. Tillis Jr. and wife Bonita, and Kenneth Tillis and wife Myrtis, all of Chicago, Ill., the Rev. Harrison Tillis and Robert Young and wife Gloria, all of Canton; aunt, Doris Francis of Canton; sisters-in-law, Earnestine Tillis of Canton, Sarah Lee Jones of Jackson, Deborah Slaughter, Gloria White, Ella Dixon, Vickie Williams and Hurtistine Mannie, all of Canton; brothers-in-law, Randolph Dixon and Henry Dixon Jr., of Canton, George Williams and Leon Williams of Chicago, Ill.
William 'Woody' McKnight

William "Woody" McKnight, 62, of Ridgeland died March 19, 2004, at his home.
Funeral services will be held March 23 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Survivors include: his wife of 23 years, Margaret Reid McKnight of Ridgeland; sons, Todd McKnight and wife Ashley of Canton, Brad McKnight and wife Julie of Canton, Greg McKnight and wife Marta of Brandon, and Charles Simpson and wife Lori of Birmingham, Ala.; daughters, Lisa Hardister of Level Cross, N.C., Kriss Kennedy of Ridgeland, AnJanette Luther of Asheboro, N.C.; sisters, Carol Bachio of Hennepin, Ill., Cindy McKnight of Stockton, Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Graveside services were held March 22 in Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland.
Survivors include: his wife of 56 years, Marilyn Ray Brown of Jackson; his son, Tom. C. Brown Jr. and wife Becky of Jackson; granddaughters, Katie Brown Doremus and husband Tim of Waco, Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were held March 24 at Breeland Funeral Home Chapel in Canton with burial in the Canton Cemetery.
Survivors include: her daughters, Kay Mason and husband Lamar of Canton, and Deborah Nelson of Pascagoula; brothers, James W. Cain and wife Elizabeth of Canton, and Ralph Cain and wife Eva of Houston; sisters, Evelyn Westbrook and husband Orin of Flora; granddaughters, Leslie Sowell and husband Vandy of Canton, and Anna Kathleen Nelson of Birmingham; step-grandsons, Gary Mason and Charles Mason of Canton, and Ronny Mason of Benton; and great-grandson, James Brandt Sowell of Canton.

Blanche Green Baker, 81, of Madison, died March 22, 2004, at The Arbor, a nursing facility of The Orchard in Ridgeland.
Funeral services were held March 25 at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church of Madison with burial in the Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include: her husband, Joe M. Baker Sr. of Madison; sons, Joe M. Baker Jr. and wife A.J. of Biloxi, George W. "Bill" Baker of Jackson; daughters, Kathy Baker Busbee and husband Philip of Meridian, and Sue Baker Joiner and husband Bill of Dallas, Texas, Scott Godwin of Holden, Mo., Matthew Godwin of Ridgeland; stepson, John Magee of Madison; stepdaughter, Jodi Magee of Ridgeland; his father, A.G. Godwin of Columbus; sister, Linda Godwin of Columbus; brothers, Gerald Godwin of Birmingham, Ala., Jim Godwin and Kerry Godwin, both of Columbus; two grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.
