Clim Hearn, 57, died May 7, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hosptial-DeSoto in Southaven. He was a service station attendant at LaFever Service Center in Holly Springs, and a member of Hernando Road church of Christ in Holly Springs.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on May 14 at Mt. Gilead CME Church in Holly Springs. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Willie Hoey officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves four sisters, Annie Marion of Potts Camp, Louise Riddle, Willie Frances Lester, Olivia Bynote, all of Holly Springs; and two brothers, Mansfield Hearn of Abbeville, Andrew Lee Hearn of Holly Springs.
Pallbearers were Selma Marion Jr., Frankie Hearns, Robert Curry, T.C. Malone, Larry Hearns, A.C. Delbridge. Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Foster, Gary Pegues, Loyce Malone, Eric Porter, William Jeffries, and Willie Adams.
Charlie Jackson Jr.
Charlie Jackson Jr., 64, of Ashland, died May 4, 2005 at The Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on May 14 at Sims Chapel MB Church in Ashland. Burial was in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves four children, Brenda Thomas of Cordova, Tenn., Ella Stevenson, Charles Jackson, both of Memphis, Tenn., Lashell Jackson of Flint, Mich.; a sister, Mattie Lou Craig of Holly Springs; six brothers, Frank Bolden of Ashland, Willie Craig of Byhalia; Charles Edward Craig of Slayden, James Craig of Lamar, Joe Craig of Byhalia, Lee Roy Jackson of New York; and six grandchildren.
Joseph Marion
Joseph (Smokey) Marion, 77, of Laws Hill, died May 6, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. He was the widower of Inez Shaw Marion. He was a member of Mt. Comfort CME Church in Laws Hill, a church steward, chairperson of the trustee board and a member of the finance committee. He was a retired factory worker with Diamond Plating in Memphis, Tenn.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 14 at Mt. Peel MB Church in Laws Hill. Burial was in the church cemetery. Elder Joseph Grantham officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves four daughters, Benita Marion-Ivy of Holly Springs, Gwendolyn Hoey of Waterford, Bertha Jeffries of Grand Rapids, Mich., Veonia Gadis of Indianapolis, Ind.; four sons, Travis Marion of Aurora, Ill. Maurice Marion of Champaign, Ill., Dietrich Marion of Laws Hill, Russell Shaw of Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister, Lillie Bell Miller of Champaign, Ill.; 40 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Doris Malone; three sons, Barney Marion, Carlton Marion, Calvin Marion; a brother, Frank Marion.
Pallbearers were Terrance Donnell, Ricky Harris, Robert Howell, Lonny Jones, Clifford Martin, Mario Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were Steven Marion, Russell Shaw, Travis Marion, Anthony Ivy, Linwood Malone, Mondrekus Marion, Maurice Marion, Dietrich Marion, George Jeffries, Charles Talley, Michael McGee.
Estella Kimbrough McKay
Estella Kimbrough McKay, 86, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Holly Springs, died May 9, 2005 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Chicago. She was the widow of Albert McKay, and a retired factory worker.
Services were held at 12 noon on May 15 at Hudsonville CME Church, where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Bobby Wilson officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves a daughter, Corrine McKay-Jones of Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Dallas Marion of Holly Springs; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mae Bell Riddle.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
Lillie Pearl Wilson Walker
Lillie Pearl Wilson Walker, 72, of Holly Springs, died May 6, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS in Oxford. She was the widow of Willie B. Walker. She was a member of Hamilton Chapel CME Church in Waterford, a church treasurer, a church steward and trustee. She was a retired domestic worker in private homes.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on May 14 at Rust College, Doxey Auditorium in Holly Springs. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden in Holly Springs. Pastor Billy Williams officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves four daughters, Janice Jean Walker of Holly Springs, Elaine Williams of Oxford, Pearlie Jean Walker of Frankfort, Kent., Mary Walker Collie of Milwaukee, Wisc.; three sons, Delois (Blade) Walker of Memphis, Tenn., Charles Edward Walker, Dennis Ray Walker, both of Holly Springs; eight sisters, Margaret Myles of Altadena, Calif., Barbara Ward of Victorville, Calif., Irene Frames, Pauline Walker, both of Champaign, Ill., Evelyn O. Walker of Montgomery, Ill., Cordia Harper of Byhalia, Corrine Pryor, Mamie D. Malone, both of Holly Springs; four brothers, Tarther (Jack) Thompson Jr. of Holly Springs, Lawrence Thompson, John Thompson, Russell Thompson, all of Aurora, Ill.; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Dollie Mae Jordan Williams
Dollie Mae Jordan Williams, 85, of Oxford, died May 13, 2005 at her home. She was the widow of Ben Davis and Elwood Williams. She was a member of Denmark Baptist Church.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 16 at Waller Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford. Burial was in Christian Rest Cemetery in Oxford. Rev. Lamar Pickens officiated.
She leaves eight daughters, Betty Graham of Pontotoc, Hattie Drewrey, Martha Alexander, Pat Brewer, Theresa McCord, Jackie Grose, all of Oxford, Billie Wheat of Laurel, Gwen Virnig of Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Landon Davis of Holly Springs, Wanzie Williams of Oxford; 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Christian Rest Cemetery Fund.
Olivia Brown
Olivia Brown, 101, of Chicago, Ill., died Dec. 10, 2005 at her home.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 17 at St. Luke Church of God in Christ in Olive Branch. Burial was in Heavenly Rest Memorial Cemetery in Clarksdale. Pastor, Elder Earl Shannon, officiated. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves five children, 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Lyle Gibson DeHart
Lyle Gibson DeHart, 83, of Waterford, died Dec. 15, 2005. He was a Baptist and a Federal employee with the IRS. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Graveside services were held at at 11 a.m. on Dec. 19 at Spring Hill Cemetery.
He leaves his wife, Mary DeHart; a son, Paul DeHart of Waterford; a brother, Henry DeHart of Bryson City, NC; a sister, Edna Jenkins of Bryson City, NC; and two grandchildren.
