Florence Taylor Boehm
Florence Taylor Boehm, 86, of Byhalia, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at her daughter’s residence in Byhalia. She was a member of Byhalia Baptist Church and a factory worker.
Services were held at 2 p.m, March 28, at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery in Benton County. Bro. William Phillips officiated.
She leaves a daughter, Belinda Collins of Byhalia; a son, David Taylor (Susan) of Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Lorene Denbow (Ronnie) of Cahokia, Ill., Ophelia Brannon of Ashland; a brother, Pearl Taylor of Ashland; five grandchidlren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three husbands and a grandson, Shane Collins.
Pallbearers were Mike Garcia, Gary Calhoun, Travis Davis, Wesly Davis, Gary Denbow, and Michael Hodge.

Belva Jean Foster
Belva Jean Foster, 69, of Ashland, died March 26, 2012, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. She was a member of Ashland Methodist Church.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on March 29 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Rev. William Kemp officiated.
Rev. John West Taylor
Rev. John West Taylor, 94, died March 27, 2012, at his home in Byhalia. He was the widower of Hazel S. Taylor. During his ministry, he was a pastor at churches in Arkansas and Tennessee. He was a missionary in Mexico for 22 years, where he built seven churches, had a Bible school and founded an orphanage for 318 girls. He had a magazine that went into 19 countries, and he was responsible for various radio programs. He was a member of the First Assembly of God of Collierville, Tenn.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on March 30 at the First Assembly of God of Collierville. Burial was in Forest Hill-East Cemetery in Memphis, Tenn. Rev. Dr. John W. Taylor, Jr. officiated. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Mary F. Taylor; two daughters, Joyce Marie Nails of Byhalia, Merriel Joan Tomb of Harrison Valley, Pa.; two sons, Rev. Dr. John W. Taylor Jr. of Minneapolis, Kan., James Lawrence Taylor of Byhalia; two stepdaughters, Lydia Frances Smith of Horn Lake, Wanda Jean Marion of Marion, Ark.; two stepsons, Gregory Hall Gibson of West Memphis, Ark., Peter McNair Gibson of Wynne, Ark.; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Clyde Russell White
Clyde Russell White, 72, of Olive Branch, formerly of Holly Springs, died March 26, 2012, at his home. He was a former church steward and a member of Cedar Grove Masonic Lodge.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on March 31 at St. Paul CME Church, Lake Center Community, where he was a member. Burial was in Charity Hill Cemetery. Rev. Tony Wilkins officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Shirley Bean White; three children, Evelyn Jones of Olive Branch, Carver White of Holly Springs, Christopher White of Memphis, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Carlton Bernard White.
Bobbie Jean Barksdale
Bobbie Jean Barksdale, 69, died April 21, 2012. She was born in Holly Springs. At age 15, she relocated to Chicago, Ill. She joined and was baptized at New Alpha Ministries Church in Chicago. She began her professional career in her teens and worked until retirement in the industrial industry. She retired in 2008 from Harber Industrials in Bedford Park, Ill.
Services were held at 12 noon on April 28 at Gatling’s Chapel in Chicago. Pastor Rev. Carsie Earl Barnes III officiated. Burial was in Restvale Cemetery, Alsip, Ill.
She leaves her husband of 51 years, LaSalle Barksdale; two brothers, Charlie “Hunter” Walker (Barneta) and Terry Lee Shaw (Lissie); three sisters, Edmonia Phillips (J.T.), Maud Richardson (Warren), Vera Mae Nunnally (Robert), all of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by brothers Issac Walker, Elcan Walker and Robert Walker Jr.; and sisters Julie Mae Walker, Mozell Watson and Lacy Miller.
Pallbearers were Maurice Nunnally, Marvin Richardson, Jermaine Walker, Devontay Gary, Tracey Crawford and Jamie Miller. Honorary pallbearers were Charlie “Hunter” Walker, Robert Nunnally, Tyrone Rogers, Terry Lee Shaw, Charles Nunnally Sr. and Brandon Woods.
Suellen L. Feathers
Suellen L. Feathers, 43, of Holly Springs, died April 24, 2012, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. She was a Baptist and a cafeteria worker with Marshall Academy.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on April 25 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery.
She leaves her son, Kenneth Feathers Jr. of Holly Springs; two daughters, Kristen Feathers of Holly Springs, Pam Feathers of Hickory Flat; her mother, Carolyn Luttrell of Holly Springs; her grandmother, Alease Alderson of Olive Branch; two sisters, Amie Luttrell of Olive Branch, Gracie Luttrell of Holly Springs; and one grandchild.
Danny Lee Harper
Danny Lee Harper, 52, of Holly Springs, died April 26, 2012, at his home. He was a plumber for 15 years with Olive Branch Plumbing Company.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on April 28 at Crown of Life Church in Southaven. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves two daughters, Tabatha Baldwin, Krystle Harper, both of Byhalia; three sisters, Connie Inman, Judy Klockenya, both of Memphis, Tenn., Tina Emerson of Lakeland, Tenn.; three brothers, Terry Harper of Walls, Michael Harper of Memphis, Timothy Harper of Burlison, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
William Andrew Harris
William Andrew Harris, 47, of Rossville, Tenn., died April 28, 2012, at his home. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a truck driver.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 2 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Bro. Frank Feathers and Bro. Billy Adair officiated.
He leaves his wife, Debra Watson Harris; his mother, Mary Harris of Waterford; a daughter, April Harris of Rossville; two brothers, Greg Harris, Willie Harris, both of Waterford; two sisters, Penny Rikarb of Waterford, Debbye Jean Harris of Sarasota, Fla.
Pallbearers were Brad Crumley, Bubba Wilson, Robbie Watson, William Watson, Brett Crumley, Dustin Watson, Frankie Houston and Billy Fuller.
