Fred Allen Taylor
Fred Allen Taylor, 54, of Holly Springs, died Feb. 1, 2005 at Germantown Methodist Hospital. He was a Baptist.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 4 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Bro. Frank Feathers and Bud McCraw officiated.
He leaves his wife, Martha Taylor of Red Banks; a son, Joey Deleo of Red Banks; two sisters, Gail McCraw, Diane Clayton, both of Potts Camp.
Pallbearers were Bubba Feathers, Kenneth Feathers, Tracy Tice, Bryan Drewery, Robert Shoffner, Monty Howell.
Robert A. Tucker
Robert A. (Bobby) Tucker, 57, of Byhalia, died Feb. 5, 2005 at home. He was owner and operator of Metric Moter Clinic on Summer Ave. in Memphis, Tenn. for 29 years, and a member of the Church of Christ.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 12 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. John Kledzic officiated.
He leaves his wife, Shirley Tucker of Red Banks; a son, Kipp Bobbitt of Olive Branch; three daughters, Dee Scott of Cordova, Tenn., Gaye Crawford of Byhalia, Angela St. John of Byhalia; his mother, Deronda Tucker of Ash Flat, Ark.; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries, 20 Guthrie Dr., Southaven, MS 38671.
Claiborne Rowan Thompson
Claiborne Rowan Thompson, 89, of Holly Springs, died Dec. 24, 2005 at Baptist Hospital in Oxford. The widow of Ben Sigman Thompson, she was the owner of Crawford’s Drug Store, the executive secretary of the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce, executive secretary for Collier Carlton, attorney-at-law, and she wrote City Personals for The South Reporter for 50 years. She was a former Elder of the First Presbyterian Church.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 27 at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Milton Winter officiating. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves a son, Rowan Thompson of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Kay Wheeler of Holly Springs; two granddaughters, Laura Wheeler and Mary Clay Wheeler Brooks, both of Holly Springs, and two great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Grady Brooks.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ben Sigman Thompson Jr.
Pallbearers were Jerry Beck, Collier Carlton, Billy Cupp Jr., Dick Douglas, Ruff Fant, Walter Webb, Al Hale and Ben Seale.

Dean Edward Bridgeforth Sr.
Dean Edward Brigeforth Sr., 73, of Holly Springs, died Dec. 16, 2005, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. The widow of Pauline Jones Bridgeforth, he was a self-employed brick mason.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 22 at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in Red Banks, where he was a member. Rev. S.A. Phillips officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves four daughters, Edie B. Sims and Andrea Marion, both of Holly Springs; Ava Garth of Memphis, Tenn.; Paulette Ballard of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sons, Larry Bridgeforth, Glynn Bridgeforth and Samuel Bridgeforth, all of Holly Springs; six sisters, Evelyn Robinson of Red Banks; Era Wilkins of Holly Springs; Sammie Echols of Elgin, Ill.; Palestine Coleman, Margaret Baucom and Mamie Seal, all of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Matthew Bridgeforth and Stewart Bridgeforth, both of Chicago, Ill.; Clevester Isom of Painesville, Ohio; 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three children, Peggy Bridgeforth, Dean Bridgeforth Jr. and Rodney Bridgeforth.
Active pallbearers were Chaddrick Marion, Rodney Bridgeforth Jr., Cecil Marion Jr., Dean Bridgeforth III, Chuancey Marion, Lott Garth III, Christopher Bridgeforth, Todd Bridgeforth and Victor Bridgeforth. Honorary pallbearers were Samuel Bridgeforth, Glynn Bridgeforth, Larry Bridgeforth, Albert Sims, and Joseph Ballard.
Ardell Cole
Ardell Cole, 80, of Senatobia, died Dec. 16, 2005 at North Oak Regional Medical Center in Senatobia. He was a retired laborer with the Sanitation Department for the city of Senatobia.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 22 at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Willie Hoey officiated. Burial was in Smith Grove M.B. Church Cemetery, where he was a former member.
He leaves one sister, Dorothy Jean Pryor of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Raney Cole of Memphis, Tenn; and one cousin, Mary Matthews of Memphis, Tenn.
Everette Doyle Cooper
Everette Doyle Cooper, 78, of Potts Camp, died Dec. 19, 2005 at his home. He was an Army veteran of Korea. He was a retired truck driver with Holly Springs Brick and Tile.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 22 at Cornersville United Methodist Church, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Bro. Don Newton officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Kathryn Cooper; two sons, Michael Cooper, Larry Cooper, both of Potts Camp; two brothers, Joe Cooper and Dan Cooper, both of Potts Camp; a sister, June Haynes of Potts Camp; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Calvin Cooper, Curtis Cooper, Keith Cooper, Tom Cooper, Bruce Kirk and Terry Berryhill.
Georgia Lavelle Crowe
Georgia Lavelle (Stark) Crowe, 83, of Byhalia, died Dec. 22, 2005 at her home. She was the widow of Thomas Lee Crowe. She was a retired nurse with Methodist Hospitals of Memphis.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 28. Burial was in Byhalia Cemetery. Brantley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves a daughter, Beverly Elizabeth Crowe of Byhalia; a son, Ronald Crowe of Byhalia; a brother, James Phillip Stark of Kingsport, Tenn.; a grandson and two great-grandchildren.
